I most definitely do not like it - the shopping part. My wallet gets very thin very quickly and I can't say no. Not because I don't want to say no but because she will still say yes - no point. Keep smiling Quess it's alright though, she has worried herself to death about "the girls", she needs the distraction. Little does she know, this was practice, tomorrow's practice will be more intense and the race itself will be much more intense... I hope I survive.

Don't forget I'm in a different time zone. I had a long day at work today, then I came home and here to catch up a little and now I've just spent all nite studying to renew my CPR which course is all day Sunday. I'm wiped out right now!

I did just see the national weather and of course I'm looking at Iowa now...looks pretty rainy today, is that still the case? Yet clear on Sunday for the race! :clap:

Danica has not yet won a race. This year is the first year that she has actually drove for a team that actually intends on winning. Can't say that was true of her former team, they were messed up. She has had good equipment this year and real team mates who are teaching her the things she was not taught previously. She's actually got a chance with Andretti Green and her results this year are definitely improving rapidly. There is a very marked improvement from last year.

Yes - they have told her they are going to shave her head when she wins - not sure if they mean it but the threat is there. I suspect not but you never know with a bunch of roudy fellas.:crazy:

Right now it is not raining here and there is nothing close - practice starts in about a half hour at 1030 am...we shall see.

If Mr DD won't be making me slave away and pulling weeds (gasp) tomorrow at that time, I promise I'll check it out on ABC! I can't decide whether to do the weeding today or tomorrow...I've got no motivation to do it today, hehe. It's overcast, looking like it might rain here a little. Actually, perfect weather for being out there, but I just don't wanna :boohoo:

Yes we are here - currently waiting on the medical helicopter to land - been rather windy this am and cars are not allowed on track until all medical services are functional. No - no car for her to drive and I have doubts that she would try it if she could - she's a little freaked out by the speed. TV does not really give one a true perspective of how fast these cars really are. They are running 7/8s of a mile in just over 17 seconds - pretty quick.

Its the weekend - do what you want to do first!

Thank you Dep! Yes - still doing the ABCs. I think the major changes are breaths & compressions - haven't got there yet. I'll be at it all day today - (after I wash the kitchen floor, hehe). So far, as you can see, I'm procrastinating! Have a great weekend!

I think everyone should take this course. You just never know when you'll need it. When I first took it, I thought - How the heck am I going to remember all of this if anything ever happens?? I got my answer. I was the first to arrive at the scene of an accident where a speeding vehicle had ripped through an intersection taking the front end off a vehicle making a turn. It was an elderly man. He didn't appear to be injured but right away I could tell he was going into shock. It all came back to me. I immediately took charge (like you're supposed to) and had everything under control when the paramedics got there. Since then, I always carry a blanket in my car too.
