Theories discussion: What could have happened to Haleigh? #3

TM has a spent a LOT of quality time with Misty and Ron, he has invested a lot of hours and money as well. He even tried to add our undercover momma to get to the truth and help break the case.

TM has recently called out Misty and sounds very frustrated. TES has basically walked away from this case to focus on those more deserved families that do want to cooperate and work to finding their missing loved one.
TM is noted for calling a spade a spade.

That speaks volumes and the rest is just distraction and well-intended hope.

We all wanted Caylee to be Alive, to choose to believe in the sightings and hype rather than believe the worst. Myself included.

The phenomena exists in the HaLeigh case as well. There is no forensics or anything at all to suggest that HaLeigh is deceased ... and so LE are never going to make any statement despite their fears, likewise there is no proof or evidence that HaLeigh is alive.

TM was the voice of reason in the Caylee case who spoke out and tried to get the A's to face the reality they needed to search for Caylee's remains, ditto here sadly .... the searches are for dump locations not homes raided.

That makes me so sad. To walk away from a little girl who, because of the sideshow that has been created, through no fault of her own, NEEDS someone to be solely on her side. It breaks my heart!

I'm not convinced she didn't/doesn't. We don't know what they believe shows her story is not 100% true.

So why does Misty avoid any details or have additional memories as she tells the story?

As analysts have stated numerous times, someone telling the truth recalls other details to add to the story as a 'memory' whereas Misty just seems to keep to minimal facts and change those basic facts.

Misty seems to be careful she doesn't add anything in case she trips herself up, being very careful not to say much at all. Very telling.

There is no recall from memory, it is all by 'rote' and Misty does not know how to embellish the short script she has IMHO.

ETA: Even 50% true is not good enough when you have a little girl missing!!!!

JMO I am very disappointed in Tim's actions.

The searches we know of were for dump locations, LE has not stated if they have raided any homes or if they are looking into that. They don't say much as we know.

I think I read that they physically searched the neighbors homes in the beginning.

Seems to me she did add some details, there was info we were not aware of.

I think TJ Ward's machine is bogus so I don't put weight in his results.

How clearer can I was asleep be? I also would say this expectation is of all that are called family to HaLeigh. IMO the lack of a few crediable verifiable alibis are what is hindering this investigation. If Misty's was the only one that was in question then I would expect an arrest of Misty and all other family members to be cleared by LE at this time (8+ months later)

You cannot just say, Misty, "I was asleep" and Ron, "I was at work" if you truly want to find HaLeigh and cooperate with LE. That's defensive with something to hide. Isn't that simple.

And alot more people that may see the person doing the snatching. I think it would be much more likely that no one would see you in the dead of night when the Dad is at work, neighbors and the others in the home are asleep.

IMO PCSO, FDLE, FBI and every searcher that has searched for this little girl deserves our respect and faith that they have left no stone unturned in search for haleighs remains. I believe in my heart that the reason HaLeighs remains have not been found is because she is alive and well hidden. LE will solve this case.... Floridians will demand it and every other American citizen that holds their children even closer today after the revalation that Florida's children can not be protected form the evil that prays upon them.

Maybe so but I personally don't need a machine.

That together with the comparison of Misty's 911 calls and to the Somer case have made my convictions and reservations about Misty even stronger.

If it is true that's certainly what they should tell but then the story would be expected to stay the same, have some detail in it, be consistent with evidence and not be called "sketchy", or "a farce".

It is a bit hard for me to understand why LE would be so convinced that Misty is not telling the truth if she is. Are they all dimwits?

Yes but I think that this exception is the rule, that more kids go missing while out playing and en-route than ever abducted out of homes in the dead of night while an 'adult' is sleeping in the same room (by non parents) and even fewer are abducted and held captive and alive.

Can you elaborate on the truth and still call it the truth? The facts are facts and the truth is the truth and since we do not have all the facts how do we know for certain if we know the truth? LE definitely knows more than we do and they have not revealed their investigation to ANYONE yet. So all close sources with hearsay should be ignored and the facts followed without any distractions. It seems to me that PCSO has finally gotten this ideology down NOW and could be very close to solving this case.

I hope you're right. I just can't be equally optimistic because IMO it's easier to hide a dead body than a living child. Not that I've ever done either but once they're dead children don't make noise or require food, clothing, or medicine, they take up less space, they can be put in the water, underground, in the trashcan, they can be burned or cut to small bits. There are still places that haven't been searched where a dead child's remains could be.

I hope you're right. I just can't be equally optimistic because IMO it's easier to hide a dead body than a living child. There are still places that haven't been searched where a dead child's remains could be.

To add to that, given the prominence of the HaLeigh case you'd need to keep her well hidden because you are in big trouble if there is a sighting -- so that puts a LOT of pressure on the kidnapper to keep her totally hidden for so long, no doctor visits, no life. It puts pressure on maybe getting rid of her.

I'd be totally thrilled to be completely wrong and discover HaLeigh safe (and not horribly abused by a kidnapper) but my head/gut disagrees with my heart.

I believe hearsay is often quite useful in solving crimes, even if it doesn't hold in court.

IMO you can elaborate on the truth and still have it stay the truth. If you're asked to describe what you did yesterday, you can tell the truth in several different ways. You can tell the short, sketchy version: "I was in the mall in the morning, and later I did some cleaning and watched the television." If it's true you can easily add more detail when questioned. You can tell which shops you visited, what you bought, who you were with, if you talked with anybody, which route you took to get there. Maybe you stopped for gas or to have lunch at McDonalds. Maybe you saw someone you know on the way, maybe you heard something interesting on the car radio. You can tell which rooms you cleaned and if you threw away anything that would be recognizable in your trash. You can tell which programs you watched and also remember to list the phonecalls you got or made in the evening. You remember what you had for dinner and what your children told you about their day, etc. There is lots of true detail.

Ok, I'll roll w/ that. How many of those who are taken during the day are caught, with eyewitness accounts vs. those taken out of their beds at night. I'm gonna try and google that, you've got my mind clicking! I was thinking of the ones offhand that were taken from their beds, Polly Klass, Danielle Van Dam, Elizabeth Smart, Madeliene McCann, Jessica Lunsford, Haleigh.
