there is a property owner named Larry S M Sr who owns

115, 119 & 131 Buchanan (just behind Haleigh's home) ---- he also co-owns other properties with G M K, and with R E M. Incidentally lot 131 is a vancant lot at the circle of Buchanan closest to the river that actually has a dock there.

I'm not certain it's his son but there is a L S M, JR - birthdate 7/21/68 - Florida driver's license shows Hollister, FL - who has a lengthy criminal record both in Florida and South Carolina - that includes KIDNAPPING, ASSAULT, DRUGS, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, etc. Some of the charges were abandoned. However, I also found an online article from 2007 where he is on a Most Wanted List in Lexington County South Carolina for criminal domestic violence "of a high & aggravated nature." He's described as 5'9", 175#, blond hair/blue eyes. He has a Florida record in Clay County and Putnam County.

Too coincidental imo...
(I have already sent this tip to police)

there is a Larry M**** listed in Lexington SC.

I believe that deadbolt was not locked. Perhaps, as someone suggested, Misty stepped outside to smoke or talk to someone in the evening... or maybe she never locked up behind the three guys who were there earlier.

One of them was the cousin from Tennessee, right? Where has LE left off with that guy? Didn't they re-question him recently? I'm very suspicious of him. Someone let themselves in and took the girl. As NG pointed out last night, maybe Haleigh slept through the abduction.

ok going back to the theory that this was a SO.... (not that I necessarily believe that, but just looking at all angles)

- Ron & kids (no Misty at that time) lived on Buchanan until Nov. If anyone has that exact address, I'd appreciate it. To my understanding this was a small one or two bedroom trailer. Someone reported Ron to CPS about sleeping arrangements & perhaps other things and he had to move into a three bedroom to accommodate separate bedrooms.
- I'm considering the possibility it was someone who lived on Buchanan and was familiar with the kids & Ron, but not a friend. Just a neighbor. And I'm theorizing that it was this neighbor who turned Ron in because they knew it was a one bedroom trailer.. so that Haleigh wouldn't be sleeping with Dad at night. If the person who turned Ron in to CPS called anonymously with a tip, perhaps there was a doorbell in the background of that recorded call???
- also, about the night Haleigh went missing. What if after Misty fell asleep Haleigh wet to bed. She gets up and turns on the light in the kitchen, finds clean clothes, hides wet clothes in dirty clothes, then lays down on the dry sofa instead of returning to her bed? And this person who has been watching and waiting for an opportunity can see in the living room window and sees her alone in living room because the light is on?

this pic shows the trail followed by the dogs the morning LE arrived at scene:
picture.php

this pic shows the Cummings address & neighborhood: Notice how Tyler extends between Buchanan & Green, either it is a private drive or it is a gravel road.

Now I had always assumed someone would have had to have been carrying her or making her walk all that way in the dark. But, if we follow the dogs trail we see that first she was taken to the dock (where she could have been gagged & tied) then to that shed near the water. Then the trail leads through the woods on Tyler (gravel drive or road) out of the woods.

so if in fact this was an acquaintance of the family, someone who lived on Buchanan, someone who had a familiarity with Haleigh because they had talked to them or seen them daily when she lived on Buchanan then she may not have screamed.

they would have taken her because the opportunity presented itself on that night... taken her to that shed, left her for a short time to run and get their vehicle, drive it down the dirt/gravel road, loaded her into the trunk and was gone....

Agree, JWG's map tells us alot!! If we eliminate the section of the dog's route along Tyler between Monroe St. and Buffalo Bluffs--the path that Haleigh would have traveled to and from bus stop earlier that day--we are left w a short, circuitous route, consistent w sequence of movement I too would suspect had someone first lured Haleigh toward outbuilding eg, then taken her in direction of Buchanan Cir. Actually if we attribute this first loop instead to possible route children may have walked earlier eg (w Misty, her nephews, or the neighbor's children), it leaves us a shorter more direct route still that perp could've taken Haleigh--straight in the direction of Buchanan. Bearing in mind that what appears on the map to not be connected--the woods between there and Buchanan--is in actuality a very short distance which if walking could have served as a short-cut (esp by someone who owned or was familiar w these properties) providing a secluded temporary drop-off point and in turn pick-up site as you say once perp secured vehicle for concealing and transporting her from there. Last nite I did 'virtual tour' via drivable route along Buchanan (using 'street view' of google's driving route). It gives us non-locals a feel for area and a bird's eye view of some of the properties. Going to now try re-routing "Walking" directions, but of course it's never as good as actually being there, to see the layout of the land along the short distance between the two neighborhoods. I was looking for the door thread and could not find it. So, I hope it is OK to post this here, or should it go in the rumor thread?

This is how I see it, no force entry means that someone that knows the child and family took the child. They "Had" to be in that house in order to leave with the child. Or they had to have a key. Now, Ronald made it clear last night on NG that he changed all the locks in that trailer when he moved it. So the only person to have a key would be Ron, Misty and maybe Ron's mother and grandmother?

So, who has Haleigh? Common sense would tell us it would be one of the people in the home the night she disappeared. But, for some reason LE is having a hard time figuring this out f.

No force entry, it had to be someone in the home! Why take the door now? They should of taken it the first day. Some of the evidence might already be lost and if this ever goes to trial, that will fall back on LE as a big mistake on LE's part. JMO

County deputies said there was no sign of forced entry in the residence. http://www.news4jax.com/news/18680086/detail.html#-

I wanted to add that I think CS would not be one in the home since Ron lived with Misty and I doubt he would of given her a key to the home. So, for now I rule out CS since she was not in the home the night before correct? It is also said that a lot of these abductions are family abduction. Unless something happen to Haleigh and Misty is covering it up. Either way...she was the last one with the child and it was Ron's and Her family in the home correct?

Does anyone remember in the very begining of this case when Rons' mother was giving an interview she said she sent, I believe Rons' grandma over with some clothes and "to check on the kids" I keep wondering why the kids would need to be checked on???

Ms. Neves mentioned it again last night on NG. After what happened... now we know why the kids needed to be checked on, hmmm?

But before the fact.... perhaps somoeone in the family was a little wary (and rightfully so) about a 17 year old girl acting as primary caretaker while dad was at work.

Txsleuth and kikid... wish we knew whether this was same LarrySMJr. and LarrySMSr. who lived previously in Pasco Cty, if so I've never seen such a notorious bunch. Major drugs for starters going wayyyyy back... including RayM--bro of Sr arrested along w him--the same name which appears alongside Sr.'s on Buchanan parcel deed posted by Tx). I'd really like to find more out about these upstanding civic citizens, including a) confirm Jr. is Sr.'s son; b) verify they were part of a drug ring in Pasco Cty (St. Pete area); c) when LMSr. (and possibly Jr.) located to Putnam Cty. (parcel doc dates to 1999?); d) if Jr. relocated at that time and if they've been living together at one of Buchanan St. residences; and e) if Jr. was not living w Sr., whether he can be placed in town the nite Haleigh vanished. Lots questions about these distinguished gentlemen... JMO

To me, this statement gave credence to the rumor that Misty had been AWOL for three days and had just gotten back. It also fits in with why the GGMA would have some of the kids clothes at her house that needed to be laundered, if they had been staying with her for a few days.

another thing that gives me pause is all the RV's I see when I do the streetviews. so many people in those RV's live far far away from FL -

Forgive me if this has already been posted..haven't read everything yet..but, did anyone else catch the Grandma last night on NG, saying "We pray that Haleigh comes back to life"..did she mean back to our lives? or, was it a freudian slip?

This is more of an opinion question rather than a theory, but I would like to see what others think about this possibility. What if...Haleigh never touched any of that bedding after it was laundered? Wouldn't the only scent on those items have been Misty's? What if the trail the dogs followed tell us where Misty was that night and not where Haleigh was?

IF we eliminate Tyler St. (and possibly loop to outbuilding) portions of dog route by attributing them simply to walk from bus and walk Misty states she took Haleigh and Jr. on earlier, it does leave a pretty clear and simple picture tho, wouldn't you agree? Straight for Buchanan. JMO

this is an interesting thought! since we know some part of this puzzle is missing, maybe something like this....

yes, I didn't know they took a walk earlier, has anyone made an image of that route?

I mentioned something along these lines way back at the beginning of the case. I agree this is completely feasible.

No. I am basing this on my understanding early on of Misty's account to police that she had taken children on walk thru woods that day back in direction of pond I believe. ETA: It was mentioned in article where we also learned of child's footprints found behind house. I'd have to find again to be sure unless someone can confirm. JMO

anyhow, that person we were discussing who's family is listed as living on that street... was checking the dockets for his record in the county:

L.S.M. JR-
trespass, burglary of a dwelling with assault, aggravated assault, battery, possession of controlled substance, false imprisonment, aggravated stalking, violation of protection order. from 1993-2005, nothing I could find after 9-26-2005. maybe he was in prison for awhile or moved away for a few years?

yes and I recall how Player stated how much he/she loved watching the kids play. Maybe there was another neighbor nearby who also like watching Haleigh?? but for different reasons of course?

Of Course! Player stated he is a he. and he also lived next door to Ron before he lived in front of him. We miss Player he had alot information.:(

What I'm saying is... Misty unlocked it after he went to work, and never locked it again.
