All of the directly quoted statements by LE regarding the forensic evidence and what they conclude have been convoluted and with so much wiggle room you could drive a Mack truck through them. There has been no official announcement that Caylee is dead, only impromptu sidewalk interviews and anonymous leaks using twisted, ambigous wording. If she is indeed deceased I think they owe the public a formal press conference telling the public in no uncertain terms, literally. Even the statement regarding Casey's status said she "would be" a suspect, as if answering a hypothetical question.

To answer the question about what would make me believe she is dead besides a body, the above is one. Two, I would also like to see the forensic reports for myself, or at least hear an analysis of them from a neutral expert.

I'm not doubting you at all, but just to refresh it for this thread, could you please post a link to the statement about "would be suspect"?

I'd appreciate it, and thanks. Nice to see you here.

I am posting a link to an article published today.. In this article, an investigator says the following:

"I've had some very experienced people working on this case and Sgt. John Allen is one of those," Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said. "Sgt. Allen said that's one of the toughest individuals he's ever come in contact with when it comes to attitude and as you called the poker face."

"In your heart, do you believe (Caylee) is gone -- she is dead?" Local 6's Mike Holfeld said.

"Well, my dad-instinct says you never want to give up," Beary said. "But the way the evidence is looking, that's probably what's going to be down the road."

"She's gone?" Holfeld said.

"She's gone," Beary said. "Every day that passes, everything in your gut instinct tells you we're not going to find that child -- at least not alive."

I have bolded the part that I find most validating for us..With all this talk about the police confirming Caylee is deceased, now there is this article that basically says well, we can't find her, it's looking to be the outcome.. This was published today!

Others might think I'm crazy for being a Caylee is alive believer and posting this link.. But I am interpreting it the way I read it.. I know that the Caylee is alive believers probably will interpret it the same way!

Yes. This is exactly how I read this article as well. I also noticed that the Sheriff did not say "dead"...he said "gone".

It just validates our point so much.. It's a bit contradicting to previous statements they have made as well! The whole thought process is so wrong though.. because they cant find Caylee, they will conclude she is dead.. Because of their so called evidence that no one has seen any proof of , and it's never ever been proven to be Caylee..Uhhh, makes me mad!!!

You know what else annoys me! Now, I don't want anyone to think I support Casey or anything.. I think most people get the wrong impression of us believers. if they believe the opposite.. But I have to say something about them calling her a suspect.. Now, what was it a day before, they came out and said there will be no new arrests on the horizon.. and then the next day they call her a suspect.. Well, all I have to say is , yes I do understand the difference between a person of interest and a suspect, however no matter what ANYONE says, Casey HAS BEEN the only person of interest since the beginning, and many people have already deemed her a murderer.. I don't think in this matter, it makes a difference whether they call her a person of interest or a suspect, because she has been their suspect all along.. do they think she's going to crack??

I agree with your assessment of Beary's evasive statements, but that's the usual and this is just more of the same.

I find it interesting that Beary is retiring in January and has stated that he'd like this case wrapped up prior to that. So, Beary has put that timeline on it - for himself; his own success with a closed, high-profile case.

At what expense, is the question.

I agree , i think its mostly the media trying flame up thier newscast. i think if the news crew would have asked early on if she was a suspect it they would have said yes.

PM JBean, she's a moderator and would be able to best answer that for you.

Now that's pretty interesting! What better way is there to go out? Go out with a bang huh!

They definately would have said yes. The media and so many others have branded her a murderer, a child killer..So calling her a suspect is a lot nicer!

I have thought this over for a while and looked at the evidence that we do know of. I think if you look at what the smell of decomposing human remains is. Is a certain combination of bacteria that is only found in humans feeding on non living tissue. The gases given off from this certain combination of bacteria is unique to humans and cadaver dogs can be trained to detect it. Most of these bacteria are located in the intestines living in water actually helping to digest food. Some of this water containing bacteria is released during the initial stages of death but also can be released during diarrhea. Maybe this beautiful little girl had a bout of diarrhea and left some of it in the back yard maybe while swimming in the pool. Would cadaver dogs hit on it? Also could there have been a diarrhea soaked diaper in the back of the car in the bag of trash with pizza and who knows what was in there. Could the flies have carried these bacteria to the hair causing the brown ring? As for Chloroform since it was never officially released by OCSD may have been read from a report from the body farm then leaked to the media. Being that they were the ones using the chloroform before they sent the air sample

I have too heard this about diarrhea! And I wonder the same thing, if a strand of hair touched the diarrhea, could that make the ring? I can't even tell you how many times my toddler has had diarrhea in my car, home, relatives/friends houses..I think it is totally possible that the diaper could have been left in the yard and/or in a trunk..

As for the chloroform, I think you and I have discussed this, and we both have the same thoughts on it!!!

From what has been said, the back yard has been cleared by LE.

As for the Chloroform, I have doubts that it even exists, but I'll wait and see if any further information or even mention from LE comes forth on this.

Another interesting point.. what about those cadavar dog hits?? Would they really have cleared it if they were so conclusive?? NO!

BTW- No thread on LP..it would most likely end up a ranting thread..I do respect that , because I know that it definately would end up like that, because that's why I wanted to start it!
