Thanks for the encouragement DD :) I personally will never give up hope entirely. There was a recent case where they got a mother and son for the death of a baby after 20 years. Then I read another recently where they got a woman that killed her husband 30 years later so it does happen way down the road. I do hope it doesn't take that long for Michelle.

Hi Gang. It's hard to believe that is's been 11 months since the brutal killing of Michelle Young. I never thought that we would be at this date with still no arrest. God bless Linda Fisher, that is her child, her daughter, her flesh and blood. I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare she lives each day!
I still know that justice will prevail and that the murderer may be feeling awfully smug, and really be convinced that he's ' gotten away with murder'. But I have much faith that an arrest will happen , though it may not be on our time table.
Like the 3 year old case in your area DD, I feel like LE has known who the suspect is, it's those important finalities of evidence. Surely not long now.
I too pray for justice for Michelle and peace for the Fisher family to come soon.

I'm so afraid this will be another cold case in NC.
"Cold Case" is when leads dry up and they have no idea where to take the investigation. This will never be a cold case. LE knows who killed Michelle. They just need to prove it in court beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, that is taking time.

I so hope you are right!!!!
I would love so much for this to be solved soon.

Justice for Michelle and the Fishers and Cassidy...

ITA, this isn't the only case that is in that predicament but we have to keep the faith. This case will be solved and prosecuted maybe it will be when the killer thinks he can take a breath of fresh air.Maybe that will knock the wind out of his sails.

And when it does, I hope he never breathes again.

Right on CP! It's rumored that he's been seen night clubbing. When I first heard this I was ticked but the more I think about it - heck, let him get comfortable, feeling invincible, get back to his cockey self. Then let LE show up with the arrest warrant.

In the meantime, he's going to run into the wrong person one day. Guaranteed, his life is not going to be a bed of roses. He may think so right now but he's going to have to experience Karma like every other evil person.

Hi jilly :) mwah!

I thought I'd post my new poem for Michelle here too. And happy birthday Meredith! 🤬🤬🤬

[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica]I planted a seed
I planted it true
For roses I wanted
To send to you.

The rain she did cry
The sun oh she did shine
The wind blew kisses
To grow roses, not mine'.

I loved every one
And tended with care
So they would be perfect
When they reached you up there

I thought of you today
And my tears they did fall
The roses had all died
They had heard God's call

I sat broken hearted
"Don't cry", came God's voice
"Your roses did die
But by your own choice"

"But God" I pleaded
"They were supposed to live
Now I will never again
Have them to give"

God looked at me
And gave me a smile
"Come sit with me child
Come sit for awhile"

"You grew them with love
and tenderness, aye,
But for me to deliver them
They had only to die"

He looked at me then
And in a voice divine
"From your love, there did grow
That most beautiful vine"

"From your heart grew the bud
Please my child, know this well
That your tears are the petals
Of your roses for Michelle".

Sami, that's just beautiful. I would love to see Linda and Merdith get this. Planting the seeds for the roses took me right back to the tree. You write truly wonderful and touching poetry. :blowkiss:

Grief a catalyst for victims' kin
From common ground, families try to uncover new leads in unsolved Raleigh killings

Thomasi McDonald, Staff Writer

RALEIGH - With police unable to find the killers of their loved ones, the family members of three Triangle homicide victims have joined together for support and to keep their cases from being forgotten.

The families of Jennifer Kathleen Nielsen and Leroy Jernigan will gather in a parking lot next to the N.C. State Fair today to distribute reward fliers they hope will generate new leads. Nielsen and Jernigan were both killed as they worked alone in the early morning hours -- Nielsen delivering papers, Jernigan cleaning a fast-food restaurant. Nielsen's family also has been in contact with the mother and sister of Michelle Young, a 29-year-old pregnant mother found dead in the bedroom of her home south of Raleigh on Nov. 3. Young's murder also remains unsolved. The two families plan to get together next month when Young's mother visits Raleigh. (more at link)

Thanks, Taximom.

Hmmm...so the two families will get together when Young's mother (assuming Michelle of course, not Jason's! ) will visit Raleigh. No mention of any contact, nor plans of visiting with Jason Young.

Jason's apparent continued silence and lack of common ground with other grieving families speaks volumes, IMO.

From the article:

John Jernigan said he hopes all the families of unsolved homicide victims in Wake County will unite to remind the public that there are other victims of unsolved murders in the region.

"It's just not one family hurting," he said. "It's everybody."

I'll keep the rest of my comments to myself. It's all JMO, MOOOOOO

:furious:

Are they "implying" that Jason's family was not contacted, or (most probably) not interested in participating. Anyone laying odds of which one?

My bet -the Young family was contacted and as usual turned down the offer to be involved or to assist. Kind of difficult to be involved in such an effort when the guilty party is living amongst them IMO.

Hey RC!
Long time no "talk to" :blowkiss:
Ummmm...I'm betting with you on this one. Then again, maybe those involved knew not to even waste their time/resources on contacting the Young family in Brevard. Past actions speak volumes. IMO, of course.
