I remember how Tim miller criticized Leonard Padilla when searching for Caylee.I don't remember Leonard responding in such a juvenile way.
Maybe Marc Klass mispoke on NG, But Tim Miller showed his true colors!F+++ Marc Klass ...really really classless.
Living off his daughters name? ugh! I can not even comprehend that someone who is looked upon as a leader in finding missing people would even utter those words. My God, he of all people knows the pain of loosing a daughter in such a horrible way.

I am totally done with Tim Miller!!!!

During the Caylee searches......LP grandstanded and impeded the search I was there. He boasted how 5,000 on his bailbondsmen friends were going to be there......2 of his friends showed up. All he did was stand around and have his picture taken....typical LP.

All 3 of these guys have a good heart and the tension is getting out of line. For you to say LP never said anything against TM is not the truth. I do like all of these guys to a point.

I agree fully, everyone makes mistakes, even the pope makes mistakes, even the president makes mistakes, even santa claus must make mistakes, right? He's human too.
What's that phrase? To something is human, to something is divine? Or so this and so that...

Time for some "something" in this matter, IMO

i agree with you on this!

"..to err is human, to forgive is divine."

This is about ego. TM decided to hit below the belt over his ego.
I am not a perfect person by any stretch of the imagination, but I would never, ever say what he said about Mark's daughter. EVER.
TM was way wrong, it didn't just slip out. He meant it, he also went on about his finding that poor man who drowned. EGO.
I would lose respect for anyone, who said such a thing. I don't care what they do for a living. This is a thread I really need to stay away from, but I can't help it. I wish it would get locked.

I think the two men should apologize and make nice. They should do it for Haleigh. She wouldn't want this to be what it has turned into, a mess. If she alive, we are wasting time, debating things that just don't matter. If she is dead, we need to get her Justice. I don't have a dog in this fight, but both men and LP and Cobra and everyone that has tried to solve this, are good hearted people. Everyone here included. I wish we go to the evidence we have and pick it apart, see what makes sense. That's what this was about. Finding one clue or one thing that lead us to Haleigh.

Tim Miller and Mark Klaas are both speaking out of pain and agony. I pray I never lose any of my kids and I respect both of these men.

We've all said things we wish we hadn't. I don't fault either one of these men for saying what they did, it's their opinion.

You are totally done with Tim, okay, what were you looking for in Tim, an entertainer or a person who was looking to deal with child rescue?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I took this poster's comment to mean that the poster was totally done with the credibility of Tim's statements. I agree with this. He is great at what he does, but he has too often made off the cuff statments that are based on emotion and not on sound reason. I wish he would really think before he talks publically. It is damaging his credibility and this is a shame.

Bringing Marc's murdered child into it was just cruel and completely out of line on Tim's Part. You just don't do that! I mean I get that he wanted to defend himself but why even bring her up? To be honest I don't think what Marc said was even that bad and I do think that Tim was overreacting to it. I think that is the issue that several people including myself have a problem with Tim Miller. There was absolutely no reason to bring Polly into it.

I think it was totally classless of Marc Klass to say on NG show that Tim Miller should be arrested. What did he expect TM to say: Why thank you Mr. Klass, I think I will go turn myself in immediately. That was totally out of place for him to say that about Tim Miller. This case was just sitting there until TM got involved again. Whatever it takes to get to the truth in this case, I am for it!

I would say that since Marc kept Tim's murdered child out of the statement he made on Nancy Grace and Tim Miller did not do the same when he defended himself that its Tim Miller who is classless.

BBM One of the first times ever since I've been here has it crossed my mind that a thread should be locked like this one. Now we have Polly being rememered for this, and some don't see the damage in what has spiraled and piliferated from this exchange, then published interview, hours afterwards, and a cooling off period should have occurred.

I fully agree with your conclusions as posted here, especially the last two sentences. :twocents:

Thank you so much simplesimon. I have been wracking my brain about Miller's behavior during the search for Caylee. I was even going to ask members here if they recalled what happened between Miller and Leonard. I knew there was something. You've cleared that up for me, since I am not that familiar with the Anthony case.
One of the things, however, that I have stayed away from is ever posting about Tim Miller. I know from reading here, he is adorned by many. Many have worked closely with him in his searches and think he is a saint.
But, I don't know him and haven't been within his circle, so I can only judge from what I've heard on the threads here.
But now I'd like to take this opportunity to say that it always seems to me that when Tim Miller goes public with any of the cases he is working on, there always seems to be some type of drama. A lot of he said, he said, seems to sidetrack the searches.
Don't dislike him. Even for the comment he fired off about Mark Klass. But I'm just saying what I've come to notice is that when Miller's aroud there seems to be confusion and drama among those involved.
Anyone else notice that?

I live in a town very close to where Polly Klass was abducted an watched an listened to everything in that Case...Personally I don't care for Mark Klass i remember those days..he just seemed to be a glory hound..Tim Miller has done more than Mark has ever done as far as finding persons.

Do you expect Tim just to sit there and take what he said on National TV..sure he was angry, If someone attacked you that way you would come out fighting..

To this day I would like to know what happened to Polly Klass's Mother since they were divorced when that happened, but never heard a word about her because it was Mark Face that was all over the place..

I know alot of you like Mark that is your chose, but most of you probably don't go back that far when this happened an see him all over the TV..I would like to actually know the numbers of people he has personally found..
Actually I do, I live in the Bay Area. Just because Eve is a more private person, doesn't make her better than Marc, if anything Polly's disappearance happened on her watch- not that I intended to place blame here, but I fully support Marc's efforts on behalf of missing children. I see him as another John Walsh. I don't care if Tim was angry- it was classless to use the f- bomb and to bring Polly into his personal beef. Keep it off the air!

he just seemed to be a glory hound???

He is trying to grab some sense to that amazingly horrible intrusion on his life. Glory hound, IMO, needs to be explained by yourself, my friend. He seems also to be attempting to place some "positive" force to the sleezy negative intrusion on his family way back when.

Glory hound??

Please explain

Az, I think the cases you are referring to are ones that the "guilty" seemed to be getting a free pass so to speak. Natalee Holloway & JVDS, Caylee Anthony & CMA, now Haleigh with MC. Possibly in his dealings with Misty & the lie detector test, she said or did something that led him to believe she isn't involved with the disappearance of Haleigh, but feels she can give a vital clue to help solve this mystery. I can't fault him for thinking outside of the box and trying to gain information that could help find this child. I admire Tim Miller, Mark Klass, John Walsh & Mark Lunsford for the work they do... lobbying for new laws, on the ground searches, speaking to groups, funding searches, what ever their offering may be. God bless each and every one of them for the loss of their loved one and for trying to help others because they know what it's like.

The first time that I heard about Tim Miller and Equusearch was through the Natalee Holloway disappearance and I remember even that far back, there were controversies regarding his actions in Aruba. Although he claimed that it never happened, I remember he and his group were accused of destroying sea turtles nests that were located on the beach there. That may not seem to be a significant thing when you are searching for a missing person but there are some things, nature included, that you just shouldn't mess with.

Interesting, I doubt that anything like that can be found with MK and group. Sometimes loaded guns can cause damage even if their intentions are worthy. I have not heard such accounts relative to MK, and perhaps that should be considered. I doubt that any history such as that could be found relative to MK and KlaasKids. If so, I'd personally like to hear about it for certain.

Closing this thread-DO NOT START ANOTHER. Both of these men do what they do for a reason. Both should have not made the comments they did. Does that make it right for any of us to belittle either of them? I think that they both misspoke and most likely both will realize it themselves.

Animal,

Thank you for closing this thread. It was going nowhere. You did the right thing.

I would like to write the last word on this topic.

For those of you who thought Marc was a "glory hound" or in general disapprove of what he does let me tell you something.

When Polly went missing there was no protocol in place to help people with missing children. Marc had to figure it out as he went.

Did he get a lot of camera time? You bet he did. And let me ask you this Shotzie, if your child was missing wouldn't you get as much media time as you good to beg for her return? I know you would so please do not call a man names who was only trying to get his daughter back.

Since Marc's nightmare he has spent his life trying to keep our kids safe. Trying to make sure nothing bad happens to them like it did to Polly.

Tim and Mark do things differently.

Animal, I know Marc will not take back what he said because in his heart he was correct. Many people agree with him. I do too although I might have said it differently. But after what Miller said I have zero problem with what Marc stated.

Marc Klaas is a dear and close friend of mine as well as a good friend of Websleuths.

Rarely do I pull rank and use my ownership to do something that is one sided like this. I hope you all know that I do not take this lightly and will rarely if ever do something like this again.

I will say Tim Miller has done a lot of good in his life and he has taken his nightmare and tried to help others. Because of Tim's unfortunate choice of words he has lost my good will. That doesn't take away from what he has done in the past but I can no longer support him.

I will allow the links you all have to Tim's site to remain. I don't want to hurt Tim Miller or stop what he is trying to do. Howver, I have no respect for him at all.

Tricia
