So the Titan is good for depths of 13,123 ft with the Titanic is sitting at 12,500 feet.

When I read that I thought, what about the passengers, don't you care about them? but now that you mention it, maybe only crew members were on the submersible

It looks like the lines are sometimes blurred between paying passenger and crew member..It appears a lot of the paying people are paying to become crew on the submersible, so while they contribute to the funding, they also take part in the science mission.

Collapse of the shipwreck is increasingly likely if not imminent, I sure hope that a pressure wave from such a collapse wasn't the cause of the disappearance.

Rescue Coordination Center Halifax is assisting with a P8 Poseidon aircraft in the search. The P8 has underwater detection capabilities.

Yeah, unless there’s floating debris, which just has it be unlikely, I don’t see this as particularly helpful.

I'm sure the company knows exactly how many were on board, as well as their names.
I don't think they will release that information until the fate of the sub is known and after families have been notified.
I am not very hopeful for a safe outcome.
