I wonder if it could be this gentleman - Durrell Summerour. He is from Georgia, but went missing in Nashville on August 17th 2010.

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing person Durrell Summerour, 40, whose disappearance is deemed suspicious.

Summerour, who is from Marietta, Georgia, drove from Atlanta to downtown Nashville with a friend on August 15th to deliver a 1964 blue Chevrolet Impala convertible to two men, possibly to settle a drug debt. He continued to interact with the pair in Nashville for the next two days. Summerour was last seen on August 17th with the men in a green Ford Expedition traveling on Interstate Drive toward I-24. Summerour has not contacted family or friends since then. His mother, who also lives in Marietta, reported Summerour missing on August 19th.

Summerour is black, 5’8” tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has braided shoulder length hair, a four leaf clover tattoo on his neck and both ears are pierced. Anyone who has information regarding Summerour’s disappearance or the whereabouts of the Chevrolet Impala with custom chrome rims, is urged to contact Detective Chad Holman, the police department’s missing person coordinator, at 880-2928 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Police were able to recover clothing and other evidence they hope to use to identify the remains, believed to be an adult.

I take that to mean that the decedent was probably carrying ID, and they have yet to confirm it with dentals or DNA.

Isn't this a bit odd? His body was found not too far from where he lived? I wonder if he was reported missing? How sad...

He was only 20 years old and had been reported missing by his father. I imagine they will find this a suicide. Such a tragic thing to happen to such a young man...

"I don't want any parents or anybody to go through the pain we are going through, because of this loss we have experienced," Joshua Gbasin said.

Olotu Gbasin's funeral is Sunday at the New Generation Funeral Home on Murfreesboro Road.

It will be followed by a candlelight vigil near the area where his remains were discovered.
