Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there some state where you can be charged if you see a crime being committed and do nothing to help? It seems I read something along those lines not too long ago. I think every state should have that law.

I'm convinced now that that's exactly where GT was smokin all those blunts--in the bathroom--and exactly why he positioned himself there strategically, so as to take full vantage or have visibility of what was being done to Channon :furious:

Can anyone tell me...was Thomas' DNA tested for Secretor/non-secretor status? If he is a non-secretor, his blood type/dna would not be identifiable if the semen or saliva was mixed with the victims or other assailants. Just wondering.

Dennis Rader, my home-town serial killer was a non-secretor. His DNA was finally matched by using a gyn tissue sample from his daughter.

He's shoveling it a little thick with all the "You have to prove this defendent and no one else committed this crime" jedi wave... Especially when he said it then followed with, "We know who committed it, because they've already been sentenced."

He lets his hand show too blatantly, the subliminal effect doesn't work.

I thought he was laying it on thick when he thanked the jury for the time (time away from their families), their patience and for listening. They way he said it made it sound a little too much.

I have the same sickening feeling, kiki. He was also sitting just outside the bedroom door when Daphne showed up.

Not to mention all the smoke he blows up the jury's collective rears... gmab. Let's be real, he just isn't a very genuine or likable person.

Not that I'm aware of, Lizzy. There are some situations where you must report or render aid (teachers/doctors/parents/involved in a wreck) but not everyone is legally obligated to, afaik.

How long is this break supposed to be? 15 or 30 minutes?

Does anyone think that the jury will deliberate today? I think that they will probably have time to choose a foreman and to go over the paperwork. I really praying that this jury does the right thing and gives justice to these two innocent kids.

Agree! Found this interesting article on this subject...

The inaction of a university student who looked on while his friend raped and murdered a 7-year-old Los Angeles girl in a Nevada casino prompted legislation in 2000 to make it illegal in California not to report a witnessed crime against a child.

Ohio is possibly the only state where a person who witnesses a felony being committed or has knowledge of a crime is required to report it to law enforcement.

But in Hawaii, as in most states, people are generally not required by law to report a crime, with some exceptions such as social workers, teachers and medical professionals, who must report suspected child abuse.

UH law professor Virginia Hench said, "You would have a moral obligation to come forward or to call," but not a legal one, citing problems in enforcement with such laws...

(cont'd at link) Maybe I should move back to Ohio...

They're back.

Judge is a pocket change-rattler, so you know it's him even before you look. ;)

Oh, here's Leland. If he's as good this time as he was in Davidson's, GT better grab the kleenex.

Price telling jury "GT just as guilty as if he pulled trigger, or raped Channon numerous ways himself... These acts could not have been accomplished w/out multiple participants."

Stacy Lawson really did have enough--and she LEFT. Daphine had enough and SHE leaves--w no car, walks out the front door to a store and called a friend. That's how THEY left, doesn't require a whole lot, just walk out w your own two feet. But GT CHOSE TO STAY. :thumb:

Plan was never to "get" a car... they were going to "JACK" a car--taking from victim while victim/s are THERE. Big difference--reasonably forseeable that victim will also be taken so can not report. If the plan is to jack a car, it's implicit you're taking victims with you. This is the plan of which GT had full knowledge and was in on.

GT was one of her captors! Yes.

If you want to leave, then leave! Daphne and Stacey had.

GT DOESN'T LEAVE. He's seen out walking freely about, but he's still present by his own volition throughout the crimes. No one could be in home and not hear and know what was going on. GT was never seen preparing to go anywhere--and when he did leave, he freely returned. He joined in the criminal enterprise. "Aiding in the commission of the offense." :thumb:
