I bet if she tried to leave was because she was jealous of what Rome was doing to Channon.

ETA: She says in her letter that she told Cobbins that she wanted to leave because "things were not right" He then asked her if she "was trying to create a scene," and told her to get back in there and shut up.

From his notes:
Came down to Knoxville so Cobbins could visit his brother, Davidson.

They had come down before.

On the latest visit, Dec 29, Daphne had come over and got some furniture in a truck. Daphne stayed the night. She and L. Davidson fought. Described LD as very controlling.

Stacy Lawson provided ride for VC, LC.

Describes the fight between Daphne and LD on Friday night. Daphne had gone to Rhonda Duke's house.

On Saturday, she says LD mentioned about planning to rob a bank, to make some money.

She stayed there alone about an hour or more.

Then describes the men returning with Channon...

This is about where I had to leave the computer. Did she say that Cobbins threatened to kill her?

I don't remember if he used the word "kill." He said he'd beat her up, at least.

Thomas asked Davidson why Channon here, he replied "she's rich white girl and doesn't want to die," Coleman says

Describing the events that night after they brought Channon in. Sounds like the usual story, except here she adds that [someone-I missed the name] asked what Channon was doing there, and [someone] answered "Don't worry about it, she's a rich white girl who doesn't wanna die."

She sais Boyd showed up after they (LD, LC, G) started putting clothes in the washer.

She told him Cobbins "checked on" Channon once. Says LD had asked him to watch her. He was in there 10-15 minutes.

VC says she was in the kitchen, and didn't hear anything.

She said GThomas was in the back bedroom at that time, and then came out to front room.

Says that early Sunday AM LD told G that he'd had sex with Channon.

She wasn't sure if Boyd went into the room.

Said GT went in Sunday night.

Here we go again with the "white girl" comments. But it wasn't about race, huh?

Sorry for the rant, but if this had been 4-5 white people who did this to 2 black people, I wonder if it would've been about race????

Channon started off in front bedroom, then moved to the back on Sunday.

She saw Channon walking as though she was very sore.

Channon was placed in closet and told to be quiet.

Daphne came - there for 10-15 minutes. Then LD took Channon to living room, and told Cobbins to watch her.

Says LD snapped Channon's neck in living room, with the assistance of G. Then he sprayed bleach in her mouth, then they bound her. VC described Channon as dead.

She says she never saw Channon after that. Heard LD tell Thomas to get bags and LC(?) to get cloths out of bedroom.

They got the floral print -

Me: She seems consistent in her interviews that the sheets came from the closet - not the bed, so her DNA shouldn't have been on them, imo.

Went over the floorplan:

Says they went and got a trashcan from BFI. Says she never heard them put Channon in it, and was never allowed to talk to Channon.

Says she threatened to call police, and LC said he'd kill her.

Says she packed her bags Sunday(?) night and tried to leave...

Price asking if you can see tracks from house. He says you can see the area clearly - house looks toward them, so they could see police out there, easily.

VC says LD told her that if they saw police, to let him know.

Cobbins said that "Whatever you do, do it fast, the police are everywhere."

VC cooked breakfast Sunday morning. LC told her that "if anything happens, I love you"

LD and LC told her that she didn't need to know anything.

End of interview.

Next interview... he knew she had been indicted, but didn't tell her until the end of the interview.

Price asks why. He says because his whole goal was to get to the truth, and he feared she wouldn't if she knew.

He did have her signing of rights, on record.

VC says that she and Cobbins got into it Saturday night, over Cobbins' touching Rhonda Duke's butt.
