Boyd, the one no one will admit was with them. There is no way I would go down unless everyone went down too.

That is so perplexing. No one wants to talk about Boyd. Why?

I don't understand why no one will say anything against Boyd.

Good point. I wouldn't either. I guess they can't bring him down without screwing up their appeals... and they're probably also not keen on being labeled a "snitch." Prison is a dangerous place, and snitches get it bad.

LC already got himself put in protective custody because he feared being killed. I wonder if he still is, or is back in the GP.

Feels like classroom where bad student is forced write his transgressions on blackboard

Lavit sends Waggoner to notepad to write he didn't ask Coleman in 1st interview if she'd been threatened

Exactly! Then the defense attorney says...you wrote that in the wrong place. Which caused me to chuckle because the attorney had a look on his face like I went to all that trouble and he wrote it in the wrong place.

Poor Waggoner. That guy must feel like he's been beat. Course in his job maybe he's used to it. He doesn't show it in his tone of voice.
ITA, lizzy. Waggoner is such a soft-spoken, gentle man. It's sad to see Lavit badgering him.

The thing is VC has given info. on the guys. I didn't watch the guys trials so I'm not sure what they did. But if your going to tell on some of them, why not Boyd?

Can Vanessa get anything less than LWOP? What's the least amount of time that she could get?

TIA

One of the things that bothers me is that VC just seems so unaffected by the whole thing. You know she had to have heard and saw more than she is saying. But what she said she saw would be enough for me to tell everything I knew. I would be so upset. You could tell it in my voice. Her voice just sounds so calm. She acts like it is ok to take Channon's things because Davidson gave them to her. And she didn't know who they belonged too. Yea right! She knew there was a girl there that they blindfolded and tied up. She had to have known that the items belonged to Channon. I know everyone acts different when they are scared but she didn't even sound scared when she was giving her version of events.

Thomas and Cobbins did try to implicate Boyd early on:

[...]

In a second affidavit in support of a search warrant released Tuesday, Officer Childress seeks permission from the court to seize and search "clothing, fingernail scrapings, hair samples and DNA biological samples" from Eric Boyd. The request came after George Thomas and Letalvus Cobbins, after being arrested in Lebanon, Kentucky gave "voluntary statements" to police officers implicating Eric Boyd in the crimes.

According the affidavit, Thomas and Cobbins told police they were both present at the Chipman residence when Eric Boyd and Lemaricus Davidson brought a bound and blindfolded Christian and Newsom into the house. They say Boyd left the house with Newsom at gunpoint, and then returned alone. They also say they were both present as Eric Boyd sexually assaulted Channon Christian before her murder.

OMG the question about Daphne scares me, please please please tell me that there isn't even just one juror that is questioning Vanessa's guilt.

Theses jury ?s must be doozies. Judge still hasn't ruled whether can be asked. We're on break right now

Waggoner's justice lawyer also gets say-so. There's just something off about that

Jury has lots ?s for Waggoner. Have to wait bit to hear what, judge must approve them

what was the question?

  • #73
Jury already asking about the journal, if Waggoner read it.

  • #74
what was the question?

Sorry, should have stated it...one of the juror questions was if Ms. Sutton was in the house at Chipman shouldn't she be held responsible as well.

  • #75
The jury wanted to know if Sutton was in the house why wasn't she charged. From what I heard, Sutton was only in the house for a few minutes. Coleman admitted to seeing Channon and being there the whole time.JMO

  • #76
The prosecution had better address the Sutton issue because that question bothers me, makes me think someone on the jury is not think that VC is guilty.

  • #77
Yeah, Sutton didn't even know that Channon was in the house. And Sutton didn't commit any crimes against Channon and Chris that led to Sutton profiting according the the Criminal responsibility rule. Cobbins jury never understood what criminal responsibility meant. I hope this jury is smarter than that.

Yes, and Boyd was also the one who was very vocally racist against whites, being in that Farrakhan's Muslim Brotherhood.

Maybe they were scared of this Brotherhood retaliating against them?

And I really hope the jury is not comparing VC to Daphane! IMO VC is just as evil as the rest of the thugs.

ETA: and it really bothers me that Boyd was vocally racist against whites--yet this wasn't a hate crime. I don't think it started as a hate crime, but I think it ended as one. MOO

Jury also wants know why Waggoner has justice lawyer w/ him. Me too? I've always wondered why that is

One ? is telling. Juror wants know if Sutton in house during wkend does that mean she participated in killings

Interesting question about Sutton. Could mean the juror is equating Coleman to Sutton and thinks Coleman shouldn't be charged, or could mean that juror is upset that more people werent charged. Bigger question is how did this juror know Sutton wasnt charged, and how much exactly does he/she know about this case?
