Jurors asking questions about lighting, distance away, time of night. Asking about Grand Am. Duh, Grand am wasn't there!

This guy is a piece of work....Lordy....I don't think if I were the defense I would have touched him with a ten foot pole.

Jury has LOTS of questions.

Street lights? Security lights? If so how far away?

Porch light on?

Street, not porch light.

Not past (now) 10:30 or 11:00

He didn't have glasses.

She didn't look taller than his chest. No his chin. :waitasec:

Nah jurors not buyin it either.

Time to break for the day.

Jury asked if Davidson was wearing glasses!

Oh, geeze - he says maybe the night he was walking down the street.

Defense recross. Describing Channon as short....Channon was almost 6 ft tall in heels.

Ending for today.

Is this the best the defense can do!? Good gosh. Why don't they bring in witnesses to show that Davidson wasn't at the house like he said he wasn't? Instead, they bring on Wanda to say she saw Chris and Channon panhandling, which has got to be wrong, but then she put good ole Guttaslim at the scene of the crime during the crime when Gutta said he wasn't there. Then they bring in the biggest bozo in 4 states talking about a teal grand am that had been in Kentucky for days when the forerunner was found. ????? If this is all they got, maybe Gutta will decide to roll the dice and testify to explain himself how all the evidence here points to consentual sex.

So, do we hope Gutter Slim testifies, or not? I'd usually say Yes, but..

I know. This guy. Well she was DEFINITELY Shannon. She was wearing a light shirt but then I couldn't really see and I only saw her for a second and when I turned around to look for the cat, which I don't think we ever saw again, they were gone and maybe they went into the house. She could have been short or tall or fat. I think she either came up to Slim's shoulders or his belly button. Her hair was blond and long or short and brown, maybe somewhere between. It could have been chin length. I don't really remember. "Mah record," yeah, I don't really remember that either but that long list of charges COULD BE mine. I look for my mother's cat a lot. That teal grand am sure was pretty, so perdy I can see it all the way from Kentucky at Mama's! Sheeeeeeeeeeesh!!!

Lol, Yolorado....perfect synopsis of this dork.

I hope he does even though hearing him lie will piss me off. I think he'll sound just as rediculous on the stand as he did in his interrogation.

I'm feeling really good about this, now.

The jury's questions throughout have shown them to be on the ball. The defense's whole case rests on two people - they had no witness who could dispute the evidence found, and Eldridge's attempts to do it himself repeatedly came out as grasping at straws.

I can hear the jury now - two witnesses claim to have seen Chris and Channon in the area voluntarily:

1. A convicted felon whose testimony was a joke.

2. A friend of Davidson's.

What are the odds that it would be her, of all people, who saw them and Channon chose to ask?

If he's a neighbor I'll bet the perps told him if he didn't take the stand on their behalf he'd be the next one on the railroad tracks.

Wouldn't surprise me. He's probably also hoping to cover his butt in case the next time he's thrown in the big house, Davidson's there too.

"Hey homie! Dude! I tried to help you get off, remember?"

"... or up to his belly button" (omgrofl... heavy sigh...) yes truly pathetic. Neither Miss Ethyl, nor Bubba Bradley, can tell us the first thing re what this couple was wearing, nor the least detail about anything at all but oh yea, they're SURE it was Channon and Christopher. Gmab. Knowing LD he is so arrogant he will refuse his attorneys' counsel and insist on taking the stand. He can't resist--just can't help his sorry narcissistic, depraved, indifferent, sick and twisted self. He actually believes he can con the jury like he's conned people all his wasted life.

I just keep telling myself over and over, people lie, prints and DNA don't. He is going to at least spend the rest of his life in jail, but I hope it is death. Life in jail for this guy is just an easy pass he feels the world owes him and behind bars tax payers support him till death. I feel sorry for the people in jail with him, you know the ones that are only there for theft, drug or other non violent crimes, they have something to fear. I just feel in my heart he is the one that raped Chris, this guy just got out of jail 3 months prior and it is well known that middle class while males in prison become a large mans....... woman and yes behind bars there is a race issue, not saying that is what this crime was because it's not, but behind bars there is.

I find it worse than peculiar that this perp also victimized a white woman when his own gf (and others) are white. Then again he probably abused Daphne and they were on the skids at the time but it's just made me ask over and over, why.... why this couple, why this night, why these brutal, horrendous crimes... but that'll teach me for trying to get inside this psycho's head, yeesh.

You will never find an answer to that question, at least one that would make sense to a sane person. The hardest thing to comprehend in this case is that there were 4 of them and not one tried to help. Then you look at the people they hung out with or neighbors that are stepping up to say they saw this or that and we know they are not telling the truth, but they do it to help out the accused, maybe just to have their faces on the news who knows..........just amazing.

What really gets me about the woman's testimony is that she sees chris and shannon at this busy convience store. She says there are lots of others around. And yet, the only person who comes forward, the only person in all of Knoxville that happened to see the couple at the Cherry St store also HAPPENS to know Slim. Hmmmm, wow.

Did a juror really ask Bradley if Slim was wearing glasses when he saw him? lol!

  • #240
I see from Yvette Martinez's twitter that a juror did ask that. Sounds like that juror is mocking the defense. If the other jurors feel the same, Slim is in trouble.
