I was wondering about Chris's pants earlier. I dont remember ever having heard what happened to them.

Thats a good theory about the voicemail calling. The Prosecution should have asked the cell phone guy about if channon had last called voicemail, and the send button was hit, would it just call voicemail. Could certainly explain it. I just has assumed that one of the idiots had tried to check her voice mail to see if/who was looking for her.

In our dreams, but the reality is that, if these are gang guys, and I'm not sure about Cobbins, they have homies in jail and, relatively speaking given their hell-hole circumstances, live a safer existance than some others.

That reminds me that the parents stated the reason they want death for these guys, is because prison is a lifestyle upgrade for them. They toured the prison facilities and were shocked at how nice they were. I don't remember the rest of what they said. But my understanding is they have access to free booze (brew their own), drugs, sex, recreation activities, school, etc. And we pay for it.

I had assumed the same thing. Still seems reasonable to me, and since it could be that or an accidental dial (on my phones, pressing 1 gets me voicemail) I'm not sure what point they're trying to make with it.

Re Chris' pants, I'm wondering if they're hidden wherever LD's sheets are. Neither have been brought up, afaik, but unless I missed something, they're both unaccounted for.

Evidence seized from the Chipman Street house suggested as much. Christian had a debit card in her possession the night of her death and had made recent deposits of paychecks totaling more than $600. Both Christian and Newsom held jobs.
Jurors seemed suspicious, if their questions were any indication. Several pressed her to describe the couple's attire. Although Freeman said Christian, sporting hot pink high heels, was seated in the passenger seat of her SUV with the door open, she insisted she could not recall what the couple was wearing.
Jurors also took note of Christian's debit card, which bore Davidson's fingerprint, asking Freeman if the Exxon offered the pay-at-the-pump option.
"I don't know," she said. "I was paying cash."

Knowing this defense, they're going to say she left her wallet at LDs at 9:30 and it was when they went back to get it that they got attacked by the Cobbins gang. :snooty:

Even if they tried to say that though, they still have to make it believable that the one person in that city who saw them there - and Channon called out to - was none other than Gutter's friend, Ethyl.

Judging by the jury's questions, they saw right through her and the defense's other witness.

I still have lots of questions. It was brought out at Cobbins trial that Boyd had pictures of the rape of Chris down loaded on his cell phone, I wonder since these pictures have not come out against Cobbins or Davidson if they are going to be used against George Thomas or Coleman.

I am having a hard time with Boyd getting off so easy, since the pictures were on his phone. I also wonder why it has not been brought up in the Davidson trial?

One other thought is they will not come out because it would be to much for the victims families. Any thoughts?

The Christian family says Newsom pulled $100 from his bank account that night, and Christian did not have to pay for her gas.

"Mama and daddy bought the gas for that Four Runner she didn't buy the gas for that we did she was still a college student we paid for the gas," Deena Christian said. "That Four Runner never saw half empty," Gary Christian added.

Gary Christian also said that when Toyota Four Runner's run out of gas they can not just restart.

Chipman Street neighbor takes the stand

David Eldridge called one of Davidson's Chipman Street neighbors to the stand.

Jeffrey Bradley said he was looking for his mother's cat on January 6, 2007.

He testified he was across the street from Davidson's house when he saw a teal Grand AM pull up quickly. Bradley told Eldridge he saw two white girls get out with Davidson between 9:30 p.m and 10:00 p.m. that night.

"When you saw that car did you see anybody get out of the car," Eldridge asked. "Yes," Bradley responded.

"And was one of those individuals Mr. Davidson," Eldridge said. "Yes," Bradley replied.

"And was one of those individuals Channon Christian," Eldridge continued. "Yes," Bradley answered.

That is the same night and same time period Freeman testified that she saw Christian and Newsom at a Cherry Street gas station in a SUV.

During cross-examination, Price pushed Bradley about the date and description of the girl he said was Christian.

Earlier this week, Stacey Lawson testified she left the Chipman Street house on January 2, 2007 in her teal Grand AM.

Bradley struggled to describe the girl's hair color, saying it was blonde or brown and he could not remember what length or her height or body type.

"So it's a female a little shorter than him [Davidson], what was her build," Price asked.

"I really didn't really pay that much attention," Bradley replied.

'First thing Monday morning, Judge Baumgartner will hear a motion from Susan Hill's attorney to block her supoena. Hill does not want to testify on behalf of Davidson because she fears for her life.

Davidson's attorneys are asking the judge to shut down the cameras so Hill can take the stand.'

'The defense may be short one witness.

Attorney Mike Whalen filed Friday on behalf of former Davidson friend Susan Hill a motion to keep her off the witness stand. The motion says her testimony could link Davidson to one of the victims. It doesn't say which one.'

I also am perplexed about Eric Boyd. There was a reference during cobbins trial that Boyd's phone had pics of Chris's rape. Yet they've never surfaced. AND boyd's statement is sealed AND he ended up charged in federal court on only an accessory charge. Strange. Then a friend asked a question about why the ATF was so involved early on, even participating in some of the early interviews. Is it possible that Boyd had been an informant for the feds, possibly ATF before or during all of this?

I am just not sure. I think maybe he ended up telling the truth in exchange for a lighter charge. I wonder if he will be testifying against Thomas/ Coleman. Boyd had a car that weekend, he didn't need to carjack anyone so I have a hard time believing him being involved with that part. I think he was the one that followed them back to the house. I am really starting to think his statement is sealed to protect the family from the pictures. I imagine they don't show who is doing the rape. Plus they have enough evidence on Cobbins and Davidson they don't need pictures. I also wonder if Chris was raped somewhere else since so many of them say Chris wasn't at the house or he wasn't there long, that would account for his pants not being found. This case is just so hard to wrap your brain around. Yesterday I was thinking about Channon and Chris all day praying for the justice they deserve.
