For the race baiters this case has drawn, nearly all defense witnesses white

Of course they are. The defense lawyers see the makeup of the jury. It also shows how many influences LD had to go in the other direction. This makes his criminal career even more inexcusable.

I'm becoming completely convinced that Eldridge and Trant are social and psychological ignoramouses.

In their effort to save their client, they chose a strategy that only angered the jury (and infuriated their city) by trashing the innocent victims, and now they're trying to gain sympathy for him from the same jury by showing a stream of other good souls he shat on throughout his life.

You know, if LD had stayed with the Rudds he could have gone to college, possibly been a professional athlete. Then he could have bought his own Nike Shocks, his own Forerunner and bought Daphne (actually he could have done better than Daphne) NEW clothes that didn't come from an innocent girl that he had murdered.

TY all for the updates. I think "I" will wear red tomorrow. Have a good night.

I never really cared for red clothing. But you know, its really starting to grow on me. On a serious note, I will probably always think of Channon and Chris when I wear red from now on.

I've missed a good portion of today's testimony. How many witnesses has the defense called? Are they done? must be close.

I think about this case about every day, especially when my 18 yr old daughter calls. We have also worked on a 'code' word to use if she is EVER in trouble and can call. That this horror could happen to anyone is most disturbing to me.

I do wonder if it had been a good-looking young black couple... would all that have happened? Would they have robbed them and let them go, or was it just a matter of time before he exploded in violence?

Daphne had just left Davidson, making him angry. He was ready to explode in violence when he happened upon Chis and Channon that night at the Washington Ridge Apartments. It is not a coincidence that they were a good-looking young white couple. It is worth noting that the gang made no attempt to steal Channon's SUV, but instead went on an orgy of torture and murder.

Channon and Chris' parents have to be ready to end this parade of witnesses about now....

Well, the defense certainly didn't come across very well with the poor Davidson argument, IMO. He had so many people lead him down the right path. No excuses for him to become a monster. I'll be curious how the jury views this.

I would add that in the sentencing hearing for Cobbins, all of the witnesses were black. This was because the jury for Cobbins was 50% black.

They didn't even try to keep/sell/trade the 4 Runner. They must have discussed between themselves the plan for what was next... and all agreed with it :furious: .

I lost track, but we still have the psychologist to come tell us that he only did this because he's bipolar.

I'm sure the defense would like to convince the jury that LD was a good boy until he succumbed to that psychological illness, but that doesn't explain his bringing dope into the Rudd's home twice or his attraction to the wrong crowd way back then.

An endless string prairie of bio family members, foster family members, tutor etc. Not sure if they've even finished yet...
ETA Oh that's right Muffet, they still have to get a psych expert up there :/

Exactly, if I were sitting there wondering what I should do, this would help me make up my mind but the defense probably wouldn't be pleased. I don't think the defense is helping itself, but then again, I thought the same about Cobbins and I was wrong.

Nope. He isn't coming off being half as deprived as he was depraved.

Well they at least tried to blame others for the way Cobbins ended up, Slim has nobody to blame except himself.
