In this latest interview today, MB actually said these words:
" I just needed a break".
And there you have it
MOO
Yep. I can only imagine what the officer thought about that.

I wonder if he thought he was at Disney...being led around Head quarters.

Strickler interviewed Megan a second time on the same day as the interview shown earlier. Megan never left the police department in between interviews, and Strickler doesn't remember how long it was between the interviews.

Strickler is excused and Jeffrey Blanton is called to the stand. He is currently employed by Eastern State Tennessee University. He was employed by the FBI at the time Evelyn disappeared, and employed there just shy of 25 years. He and another agent interviewed Megan 2/19/2020.

Defense on cross to Strickler. Attorney is asking Strickler about Megan not wanting Hunter to pick her up. Strickler said he made a call to have mother pick her up. Defense asked if it ever “resonated” with him, prosecutor objects. Sustained.

Insinuating that witness didn’t follow up as to why Megan didn’t want to see Hunter.

Witness steps down.

I wouldn't entrust Megan with one of those ten-pound flour-bag project "babies". She stopped providing even minimal care to her human baby. And then once she trashed her home and her baby, she dumped it all and left it behind.

Next level cold.

Evil.

Megan told Blanton that she dropped Evelyn off on December 24 at the Perry's residence, and she and HW went back on the 25th to drop off presents for Evelyn.

Megan said she saw Evelyn on the 25th for about an hour.

This is just pure hogwash!

Per Blanton, Megan said she called on New Year's Eve and EP said he was going to try to get custody. Blanton asked her if EP was listed on Evelyn's birth certificate and Megan said no.

Megan told Blanton that she was "wore out," and that Evelyn was attached to her by the hip, and that it was time for EP to step up.

Blanton explained the implications of lying to an FBI agent. Megan said she had nothing to correct, everything she said about EP was true.

Blanton describes Megan's demeanor as matter of fact, no emotion until she was told she could be charged with a felony if it was found what she was saying was not true. !!!

Brief cross, no re-direct, witness excused.

David Gratz, attorney and former TBI agent, was called as the next witness. The SCSO requested the TBI's assistance when Evelyn went missing.

Gratz is shown the Amber Alert, entered into evidence as exhibit 185.

Gratz confirmed that information regarding Evelyn's clothing description "pink track suit" and the BMW vehicle were provided by Megan.

Gratz and CSO investigator Tracy Haraz went to Megan's trailer to see Austin Feller.

They were given consent to search a small outbuilding at the trailer. They found a stroller in the shed that had been left behind.

Photos of the stroller are admitted into evidence, exhibit 186.

The witness steps down from the stand to identify the stroller, which is present in the courtroom.

Gratz began his interview of Megan just prior to midnight on Feb 19, 2020 and the interview was audio only.

Evelyn told Gratz she last saw Evelyn on Dec 26 at EP's grandparent's house.

Gratz told Megan that EP was full-time military, on a base in Louisiana, and living in barracks.

Megan continued to maintain that EP had Evelyn.

Court in recess for 15 minutes.

Megan told Gratz she hadn't seen Evelyn since she dropped her off with EP. Megan said she did reach out to EP but wasn't concerned for Evelyn's safety. Gratz described Megan's demeanor as "very nonchalant."

The interview ended around 3 a.m. on Feb 20 and the second interview began around noon on the 20th.

On Feb 21st, Megan was interviewed again. Matt Price with the sheriff's office was present and the interview was audio and video recorded.

Megan consented to agents collecting items at HW's home prior to the interview on the 21st.

Gratz is given an item to open on the stand. He states that it is a Polaroid photo taken in Blowing Rock, NC found in a box of belongings owned by Megan.

Gratz then identified brochures and photos of Megan and HW that Megan said were from a trip they took to North Carolina.

Ugh, I’m familiar with all the different locations mentioned In this case. Feels creepy.

Megan sits in the courtroom barely paying attention to the witnesses. Nonchalant is the perfect word to describe her demeanor.

Cold, nasty liar.

Thanks all to updates, can't get the subtitles to work!

I guess they didn't tell her to try to look like she cares. Moo

Had to take my dog outside and I missed some...
  • Gratz is asked to re-open one of the envelopes (photos and brochures from NC trip) and identifies a receipt dated Jan 19, 2020.
  • I think he identified a sonograph in the memory book...
  • Gratz holds the memory book up for the jury.
  • Gratz interviewed Megan again on Feb 23.
  • Gratz interviewed Megan's mother and her boyfriend (didn't catch a date)
  • Megan was concerned about her body spray being returned to her.
  • She was interested in forming a search party.
  • Megan was escorted out a side door to avoid the media but then turned around and went back to give an interview.

During her interview with agent Gratz Megan’s story changed to her mother Angela having Evelyn in Mendoza.

Megan was concerned with having her body spray returned (!!) and also was concerned about being arrested for giving false evidence.

Asked if Megan showed any concern for Evelyn, Gratz replied no.

Bombshell IMO. Just as many of us suspected. My bolding:

Massengill produced a Jan. 24, 2020 application for residence at Overlook Apartments. Gratz testified that Boswell and Wood had been considering living there, which led to police interest in the location.

The application stated there would be three occupants. When asked by Gratz who the third person would be, Boswell told him she was pregnant, and that baby would live with them. Gratz asked her why Evelyn would not be living with them. Boswell told him that Wood said he would not live with Evelyn.
