I can't fathom what world MB lives in that she could not see leading police to her deceased child, and pleading guilty wasn't the best shot she had in life as she knew it. Why are we here going through a trial? This is crazy...

What we've seen/heard from her father was his plea for her to do the right thing, come clean, and regardless, she'd always be his beloved daughter.

She's not protecting her mother because AB wasn't involved in abducting or killing her granddaughter so she can stop hiding behind that excuse.

I don't know if we will learn the paternity of EB's father or if she was the result of SA/abuse and/or this may have had an impact on on disappearing her but I'm thinking not.

Instead, I think this is more MB did this because she was 18 years old, and convinced herself she had a chance at a different life.

Also, I think her dad had recently remarried and MB appeared to believe she lost some power over Tommy. (Seems MB was the only daughter/granddaughter-- 'princess' of the family).
MOO
Cumulative.

Not just a bedroom to trash, a whole trailer. Zero life skills.

Pressure from others about the flaming diaper rash so she stopped leaving her with sitters IMO. Left her alone. Then glommed onto HW. Needy AF. Away from trailer now for work shift plus time spent with HW. Now no time for bathing Evelyn. No laundry, no nothing. Evelyn getting worse, smelling. :( I'm surprised MB even took her to lunch with her friend.

How long could that go on? A week that we know of. Two? Three? Somewhere between 12/8 and 12/21...

There aren't words bad enough.

We brought food out to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office when the investigation first started in 2020,” she said. “We’ve tried to keep up with the case over the past several years. But now that the trial’s began, we feel that it’s important to show our support for Evelyn because she doesn’t really have much family doing that right now. So we feel called to be her family and her support during this. So we just wanted to do this out of love and to fight for justice for a little girl that deserves it.”

The State calls Christopher Wilhoit, Assistant Special Agent with TBI, employed there since 2001. He assisted the SCSO in the investigation.

He spoke with MB on Feb 23, 2020 after she was interviewed. They were outside when she began speaking to him about Evelyn. He asked if she would mind coming back inside to talk to him.

They sat downstairs in the lobby of the Sheriff's office to talk. He recorded it in writing and with audio.

They are playing the recording.

"I just wanted a break."

She was just so tired, working at the Chicken Shack...

She called her mom.

This was sometime between Dec 14-16.

Makes me want to spit teeth. She had people. Who loved Evelyn, would have cared for her.

We can be agreed NO ONE came to that trailer.

First truth told, "I wanted a break."

So she gave up on Evelyn and threw her away.

Terrible audio again.

She describes Evelyn wearing a track suit and pink Puma shoes when she claims her mom and mom's bf came to the trailer, MB says she opened the door, 10 seconds, handed her the baby.

Now she's talking about Sue, the sitter having her.

All on the 14th or 15th, she's tired, "to be honest, I can't remember".

WTH? Everyone remembers the last time they saw someone close, who's died.

I've never listened to anyone more BORED of the details she's making up.

MB says she called Sue before she took her over there. Her name in MB's phone was Sue Babysitter. Sue lives in a double-wide.

She says she picked up Evelyn when she got off work. About 6:30.

MB says that her mom told her at the door that they were going to Mendota.

MB gave her mom a blue basket with overnight stuff - diapers, etc.

WTH

She says she was on and off with HW, stayed a couple nights there.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Claims she took Evelyn to Sue for daycare, picked her up at 6:30 pm, then her mom came to the trailer to pick Evelyn up for the night, MB claims she was planning to pick her up in the morning.

Sent along clothes and milk in a blue basket.

"I gave my mom the milk out of the -- whatdoyoucallit -- fridge."

More like IMO MB is telling us what she threw away.

MB said it was a quick exchange.

"Here's Evelyn, here's your stuff, see ya..."

MB said her mom called her the next day - Dec 15 or 17th

Her mom was mad and told her she was a bad mom, she didn't deserve Evelyn, and that she was with someone who would take better care of her.

Here comes the fake crying...ugh

MB claims her mom called her the next morning, mad at her, told her she gave Evelyn to someone who would take better care of her, said MB didn't deserve Evelyn. Bad mom.

Now she sounds like LeteciaS again. Her mom was taking her up there, where there were roadsigns pointing to Mendota but her mom wouldn't tell her where.

The detective is exasperated with her non-sense.

My mom said, "Evelyn would be better off with anybody but me."

Wilhoit: "You've already told a couple of different stories."

Huh.

Ya think?!

Detective is giving her an out, accidents happen, did an accident happen?

MB is saying that LucyS has her baby, disappeared the same time Evelyn did.

Asks the detective if, if LS adopted Evelyn, could MB get her back? Claims she was told no.

My personal observation: This is rich. Evelyn's been adopted, nothing MB can do about it now, maybe we should all move on.

Megan insinuates that Lucy Steffy, a friend of her mom's, who went missing around the same time as Evelyn might have her, or has adopted her. This is the second or third time she's mentioned "that girl who went missing."

Given enough time and interviews by LE, mb would implicate every person she knew as being the culprit responsible for what happened to EB.
