GUILTY TN - Evelyn Boswell, 15 months, Sullivan County, 26 DEC 2019 *MOM ARRESTED* #10

  • #821
Prosecution is emphasizing the betrayal of trust and how Megan always chose herself over her daughter.

Megan manipulated LE and the community by lying over and over. Meanwhile Evelyn’s body was stuffed in a trash can, treated like garbage.

Also addressing danger to the public, citing cases.

Prosecution: Evelyn got in the way of the life Megan wanted... so she threw her away. It doesn't get more callous than that....

  • #823
She may have just sealed her fate putting herself on the stand to lie once again!

  • #824
Prosecution: Ms. Boswell was not treated unfairly. Her child was.

  • #825
Prosecutor: Megan still shows no remorse, acts like a victim.

Asking to maximize sentence.

Defense up for response. No priority history of crime other than a driving offense.

Her attorney is probably rethinking his life choices.

She did herself no favors but true to character -- no remorse, no love lost.

She can rehabilitate if it's even possible behind bars.

Never let her out.

Defense: blahblablah not a dangerous offender, not everyone convicted of murder is a threat to society. Citing cases.

IMO Megan will always be a danger to the community.

Court recess 15 minutes.

I joined late. I’m listening to MB’s defender blah blah etc, and realizing more words are being said on MB’s behalf than were on Evelyn’s - as if MB is the victim here.

Did anyone provide a victim impact on behalf of Evelyn?

Essentially, her attorney is saying she just did one thing wrong.

Sure. If you lump together all the awful things she did to that baby and in the aftermath.

If the judge wants one thing to sit with, I recommend the visual and horror of tinfoil.

IMO it is a supreme act of mercy to give her concurrent sentences with no chance of parole because she herself is better off within the confines of prison structure.

Let her do some good there, if she can.
