Just one thing - that happened to be murder of her own little child.

And then LIED about it for a long time!

And still lies about it...on the stand..today

Again it would be a disservice to grant her a chance at parole. She is immature, self-centered, uncaring and ignored the resources she had around her, when she could have done better by herself and couldn't have done worse for Baby Evelyn.

She needs to remain incarcerated with no chance for parole. It's just safer for everyone that way, society at large and herself included.

I can see the judge leaning either way though. The chance at parole isn't a guarantee she'll ever reach it.

Will he be swayed by her age? Will he be moved by hope? Worried that without hope (of parole down the road), he's taking away her incentive to improve?

It will be a test of mercy, whichever way he rules.

She’s claiming she didn’t get a fair trial otherwise she would have been acquitted. That’s it.

Prosecution is asking for consecutive sentences.
No Evelyn didn't get a fair chance at living you Monster.

Yep...gig will hopefully be up soon and she can think about that for the rest of her life I hope.
To be honest, I don't think she's the type for self-reflection. I don't think she'll spend one moment of energy internally confronting her crime. But, I also don't care as long as she remains out of public and behind bars.

Why didn't the State put on any victim impact testimony?

I’m afraid the judge will order future parole due to her age.

Ugh.

Tears.

If she'd had a better jury, she'd have been acquitted.

"I didn't kill my baby."

You wrapped her in tinfoil and threw her away.

Not a word of sadness over the love lost.

I've heard enough.

Yeah, I'm reading here only, I can't listen or watch. Thanks for all who are posting updates.

We heard from people during the trial who genuinely loved and cared for Baby Evelyn. I wish the State had brought them back today, to give Baby Evelyn a voice.

Maybe her family did not want to testify on Evelyn's behalf so she would not get LWOP...IDK I would think her Father would have said something.

Are the jurors there? I heard “emotional toll” and “thank you for serving”.
Hmmm. That would be interesting that they felt so moved to show up.

What is all over the back of Megan's prison uniform???? Artifact? Must be, because I only see lettering now, above her chair back. When she was shuffling in though, it almost looked like the lettering was running down, like bad mascara.

I agree. I fully expected there would be a few at least!

I don’t want her out any earlier than beyond her childbearing years. She should never be allowed to become a mother.

Poor sweet little Evelyn didn't ask to be brought into the world to this Monster of a Mother. She was a truly innocent, vulnerable, adorable baby girl who was thrown away like garbage so egg donor could go and play house with a new guy.

Sick, sick, sick. Reminds me of Susan Smith. 🤬
