I completely understand why they are keeping autopsy results secret. Especially with the amount of lies and people with criminal backgrounds who had access to this baby. Knowledge of specifically how Evelyn died may be evidence of guilt. If everyone, including you and me, knows how she died, that can impede the investigation. For example, in continuing interviews if a family member, boyfriend, etc. says "I had nothing to do with the baby choking!" or "I wasn't even there when she fell down the steps!" That can be incriminating if it matches with the evidence and isn't public knowledge. They want to know not only who killed Evelyn, but who helped cover it up.

ETA: Or, "It wasn't my drugs she got into" :-(

Exactly, the DA also said he will be taking additional false reporting charges to the grand jury. That could be against other people. They have information right now that only people involved in EB's death would know. If they are still building cases against those people, they have a right and a need to keep concrete evidence secret until the grand jury returns its indictment(s).

I think TBSr should provide bond for MB. She needs to be able to work freely with her attorney and prepare for trial.

IMO, her bond is much too high for "false reporting."

It has not been confirmed that Evelyn is no longer with us, and LE apparently has no intention of confirming it.

She can do that from jail like every other defendant held without bond. The judge went over the factors in open court and as this person has no home, no job, and not one friend or family member who showed up to court to vouch for either her character or that she had a place to return to, the judge does not have much of a choice in holding her. I think bond was completely appropriate for a homeless teenager obstructing a murder investigation.

How much more confirmation do you need beyond a TBI agent testifying under oath in open court that the body of a baby matching the description of EB, that they believe to be EB, was found?

Am I the only person who heard the TBI agent testify in open court, under oath, on national television, that they found the body of Evelyn? That is confirmation. They cancelled the Amber Alert. I don't know what more the "public" could possibly want.

Getting a grand jury indictment that is appropriate for the facts presented is more important than satisfying the morbid curiosity for details from the general public. If anyone can state an interest more compelling than an indictment and conviction of the personal responsible for the death of a child, I'll eat my hat. This isn't some local LE power play - it's ensuring the state can get a fair and appropriate indictment without claims of poisoning the jury pool with incessant media and social media scrutiny. There are things more important than chatting online.

We all heard it. I am just patiently waiting! Great post @Alethea

IMO MB acted alone in the death of her child.
She not only lied to LE about Evelyn being with her father but sent them on a wild goose chase looking for a silver camper and her mother stole the damned BMW, Those are two additional false reporting charges right there.
IMO she and she alone put her baby in that shed with all of her things and went on with her life and spun lied to everyone that she came in contact with including LE.
IMO the cause of death is going to be obvious, she probably did the same thing as CA and wrapped duct tape around her nose and mouth and suffocated her.

This WS page is not even showing that Evelyn has been located. So, no, that statement in court by TBI is not proof.

Shortly after I made this posting, authorities issued a press release that Evelyn's remains have been found, and this page was updated after that.

Sorry if I upset anyone, but was awaiting the official identity confirmation, which is normal in these cases.

It's fine to seal the details of the autopsy but to deny releasing the identity of the body that it was performed on is just something I have never heard of....ever. It seems so arbitrary and what purpose does it serve not to admit Evelyn is legally deceased. IMO it just seems wrong and if she was a member of my family I would have even more to say about it in person and with legal representation. JMO

Completely agree. MB is exactly where she needs to be. I cannot imagine the uproar if she was bailed/freed on bond. I know, I know, innocent until proven guilty...but there is an exception to every rule and this is that exception.
@Alethea says it much better than me - I’m babbling incoherently because I’m so tired. Good night, Sleuthers ❤️
