An active shooter was reported at a military facility in Chattanooga, the city's mayor and the U.S. Navy said Thursday.

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke said at a news conference that it was a horrific situation. He did not release any other details. Berke said there's "an officer down" at a military reserve center.

"It's a very terrible situation," he said.

<modsnip> this incident today demonstrates that random shootings are getting more and more frequent all of a sudden.

I really do think that ISIS has recently sent very specific orders to any ISIS sympathizers to start shooting and killing as many random people as they can.

Something is going on folks and its not good. We all need to take extreme caution to be on the lookout for any suspicious people.

Yep heard he shot out of a silver mustang with a high powered rifle via eyewitness accounts.
