Clint heard talking. He heard a dog. I think he would have heard a car, and I KNOW he would have heard an ATV. they aren't quiet.

Hi, everyone, I've been reading and not posting much. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
After listening to the interviews, pieces of the puzzle seem to be coming together for me about the abduction and why the perp chose to do some of the things he did.
It seems like he parked his car along the road at the upper east corner of the satellite image we've viewed, then walked across the wooded area so he could surprise Holly. I wondered for a while that perhaps he knew Clint was in the house, and this is why he didn't simply drive up to the house, try to talk to Holly under some pretense, then abduct her. It doesn't seem that this family is naturally suspicious, so I don't think she would've run into the house the minute she saw a car drive up. Why didn't he do that? Wouldn't that have been the fastest way to get in and out of the area wth Holly is she was alone at the house? My take is that it was someone she had encountered before, and would not have reacted well to seeing again. Also, if he was observing the house from afar, he may have known that Clint would be within shouting distance of Holly, and wanted to avoid the chance that Clint would hear a car drive up and come outside. If it someone with whom she'd been acquainted, there are only a very few places that would've been: church, school, or friends of friends.
It helps me get a handle on how the crime may have occurred by thinking of his motivations. Clearly, learning more about her routine would make it easier to identify where she would've originally encountered this guy. I"m sure LE is going over the same ideas.

Sorry for the long rant, I'm just thinking out loud (or with my fingertips, I guess).

I dont know why people cant find them but they are ALL on Youtube... for some reason the link doesnt work

the video is entitled 007.avi and is hosted by this user on his channel : poizyn1

This is the interview including the pastor

I searched with "jvm" and "bobo" I was able to see the 005 and 006 videos through a search, but the 007 video only came up as a result in the "related videos" list on the right side of the screen while I was watching 006. It took me several times searching to realize it was there. :pullhair:

I think it’s logical to assume that KB tried calling Holly on her cell once KB was contacted either by Clint or the neighbor contacting the school. However, in all of the interviews I have seen, not once has anyone asked or stated if Holly was called on her cell to find out where she was or if she was in danger. IMO, the only reason this would be left out of the conversation is that some information may have been obtained from a voice call or text to Holly or vice versa.

Was Holly able to give her family a clue as to what was happening?
And if LE is not following up HARD on this clue, this could cause animosity from the family toward LE.

See.... I think this is odd, too. We live on 70 acres. If I look outside, and my dh isn't around the house, but his truck is, I might assume he's up at the barn, or down by the pond. First thing I do if I need him, is grab a phone and call his cell. My story, if it was my dh that was missing at our home, would sound like this: "I looked outside, and didn't see him, so I called his cell. He didn't answer, so I started calling around outside for him. After x amount of time, I might call a friend or family member, and then maybe LE.

It's just weird to me that HB is reportedly seen walking towards the woods with her BF. The logical next fact, to me, would be that her brother or mother states that they tried to call her or her BF. If we are to assume that HB was called, why is it not assumed, but rather stated consistently, that KB was called, as well as LE. Shouldn't it be stated that HB was attempted to be reached as well, and what the outcome of those attempts were? ie: got voice mail....rang and rang with no answer, etc?

I just think it would be a logical part o anyone's recollection of attempting to locate a missing person, and no one has included it in their testimonies. I wonder if it is intentionally left out, as directed by LE, or if KB or CB just do not think their calls to HB were significant to relay that information?

ETA: The links work for me - can you all see them & access them?

ETA again: Now I forget wth I was searching so hard for them for. :floorlaugh:

Interesting point!
Don't know if he ever mentioned for how long a time he remained looking out the window and listening before he went about doing whatever he was doing, or became suspicious.... did he call his mom from his phone and remain looking out the window? Maybe someone here can clear that up - this is NOT a criticism of his action, just confusion on my part....

I still can't understand, knowing Holly should be going to school, but is heading into the woods with a man, that her brother wouldn't yell to her- Hey Holly, are you OK??

My brother doesn't really know my exact schedule. He may have vaguely known Holly would be heading to school or have a test that day, but I really doubt he was sure and engaged enough to panic the moment he saw she wasn't leaving for school at the exact time she should. My brother, personally, would just assume my class was an hour later than he thought or that it had been cancelled or he was mistaken on dates before immediately panicking. For the record, I still cannot keep my brother or roommate or boyfriend's schedules straight most of the time so them not going when I expect it wouldn't immediately make me freak out.
She also had an avid boyfriend hunter who she helped hunt or at least seemed engaged in it. Her walking with her boyfriend to see a dead animal in this scenario would have been absolutely normal. It was only way later when he was informed it wasn't the boyfriend that he started to panic.

IMO, the brother didn't have the life experience to predispose that his sister could ever, ever be in danger. Therefore, his mind reasoned that she was with her boyfriend.

I don't think it is so difficult to understand, he was insulated, he never had any reason to suspect that bad things could happen to his sister.

How can LE have so many clues but no answers? Its very hard to accept. There were 4 911 calls (at least that we have been told about)....and LE arrived shortly after the calls. They have an eye witness...and other items that belonged to Holly have been found. LE seemed pretty certain at first that this case was close to resolution....but we have nothing.

I'm very sad that 4 months have passed with no Holly.

Im still kinda fuzzy about what happened within the house that morning...

Clint hears strange voices outside
Clint sees silhouettes of unknown people
Clint now thinks the unknown people are Holly and Drew
Clint calls his mom to ask what Holly is doing in the garage
Karen says Holly is supposed to be at school
Clint seems to have forgotten about people in the garage for a bit, and at some point looks out a window and sees Holly walking away. At some point Clint goes outside and possibly goes to look for Holly at the tree line because he now realizes it was not Drew.

Can I assume Holly managed to keep her flip-flops on throughout the ordeal?

  • #275
She was wearing flip flops, carrying a lunch box, cell phone and purse. She managed to get cut (bleeding) and disappeared with all of them. We know lunch box was found.

What about the car abandoned close to where to lunch box was located? Was that just a rumor?

I never heard anything about an abandoned car? ...but see this is why I honestly believe this family has got to sit down with LE /FBI with 1 account of what transpire (the entire 24hrs) before Holly went missing that morning. Let the authorities sort out all the inconsistencies and rumors and come up with a cohesive TIMELINE.

Until that time I do not feel the Bobo's can appeal to the public for their help. For that matter if LE doesn't have any clearer timeline, even they are going to have a problem figuring this out, and that is their primary job, not ours.

Something is just not right, and until all the rumors and inconsistent accounts are cleared up, this case isn't moving forward. IMHOO-OK? :banghead:

Didn't he just wake up? He's a teenager. Teenagers don't think about why is she going into the woods with her boyfriend, or this could be someone else trying to harm her, or she's going to be late for school. He might not have looked at the clock yet. He also might have been irritated that someone or something woke him up so early.

Ummmm.....no, he's not a teenager. 25 or 26 yr old man. But maybe he was out of sorts from just waking up.

He is a 25-yr. old man-hardly a teenager...

This case has me so frazzled I can't even imagine what her parents do every day...there is no sign from LE of any breaks, apparently, and from what the family says, LE tells them next to nothing, not even what was found and what wasn't. They are totally in a state of limbo, it seems, and probably have no way of knowing if LE is even actively working leads, or just hoping some leads come in.

I'm pretty sure that the family HAS sat down and talked to LE about everything, it's just that we are not entitled to know what they told them. It's customary to separate the family in the very beginning, so LE can pick out inconsistencies, but since Clint was the only one at home when Holly disappeared, the mom and dad can't help much with the time or exact order of events.
The 24 hr. period before she went missing may not be much help if it was a stranger abduction, unless they hope to catch someone on a security camera somewhere talking to her or watching her.
I think LE knows a lot more than the public does at this point.

Thanks for your response TxLady,

I know we are not entitled to know (everything) that was told to LE, but don't you think since the family themselves are going on TV to ask for the publics help, they should at least have a timeline of events that makes some sense.

Yes, Clint was the ONLY one home --so his account is crucial, but has changed a number of times. Some of the changes relate to the call to his mother, so Her account also is important.

The mother has said she saw Holly at 4:30 in her room studying, she never accounts for the time between 4:30am and the time at which she and her husband left for work.
She said she had already spoke to Drew, the boyfriend, before Clint called her. What reason did she have for calling Drew before she knew anything was wrong?
The neighbor comes in to this because she "heard" a scream at around 7:30, that scream has now established the beginning timeline. How do we know WHO screamed, Clint did not hear it, and the neighbor never actually saw Holly.
The most disturbing part of the account is this--When Clint was first interviewed he said he only saw Holly being led off by a 6ft 200lb man into the woods,as the question of Why did he not do something arose, then he says he saw the 2 figures in the garage and believed it to be Holly and her boyfriend, Drew. He knew Drew, and he also knows he does not fit that size description. Was it a cover for him not doing anything to stop his sisters assailant?
Now I know you are thinking I am accusing Clint, or the family of some sinister involvement. Not So. I only ask the questions that allow people to continue to suspect the family May know more about Holly's disappearance. I know we have absolutely no right to ANY information that would jeopardize this case, and I for one do not need to know 1 single aspect of this case. It is not my problem, but the family themselves have made the public plea for help. I just say "help us help you", straighten things out, or go back to the silence of the past 3 months.

How can one ask for help, but leave so many questions unanswered? I am hopeful you are right, TxLady, and LE has all the info they need to solve this case and bring Holly home. That is all that really matters.:twocents:
