I think we are now getting severe tunnel vision. Stepping back, we can view the whole case in simple perspective. Holly was obviously caught off guard by an unsub while leaving to go to school. A small amount of her blood was found near her car. A spilled Coke was also there. Holly's brother spotted the unsub with Holly but thought it was her boyfriend. It wasn't.

Some of Holly's "things" were found some distance from the home. Whether they were planted there...or thrown out as the unsub sped away....is not known.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I, personally, am tired of examining Clint. I think we need a profile of the unsub.

While I agree, it would be easier if LE would just come out and say that the family has been cleared. I know that is not something LE ever likes to say...but I hope they at least know that much by now, if in fact they have been. I'm not sure it matters, except that from reading other sites around the internet, a lot of people seem to be focused on the family/Clint, which doesn't help to find her or a perp who is most likely still out there.

Anyone know if there is a sliding glass door on the deck in the back. I have tried my hardest to see but in each photo, the d#$#m (news affiliate) banner is covering the back wall. My guess would be there is a sliding glass door. If so, that would give a better view than the small windows.

In the picture I saw of the back of the house a tree blocked a large portion so you could see the pool, part of the garage-carport but to the right of the carport I saw something that I thought might be a door. I really can't say for certain.

This jives with the home invasion theory that was first broadcast about the case.

My problem of perception is the silhouettes. To have them there has to be back lighting. That is what made me believe the two were in enclosed area (like DB says) DB would have to be in a dim lit area and the two would have to have lighting for him to see silhouettes. There would have to be a curtain or screen with light to see silhouettes/shadows.

I have found the info on blood flecks and it originated with CB. He said he observed blood flecks on the lawn....driveway was thrown around too. It was said by locals that TBI wants nothing said about the case; when asked they are to give as little info as possible.

This may account for the dysfunction of the wording of what took place...don't know. We have two pastors now. One is the Spokesman and One is the Sheriff. The Spokesman gives the media nothing. The Sheriff very little. I suspect these two are best buddies and we will get nothing. They are talking between themselves all about the case and are the driving force on what the family says. That accounts for the removal of Dana on the show. He was replaced by the ...em...Spokesperson. He assigned himself this position in the family and, in my opinion, is taking total control.

This case is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth.

Could the silhouettes be caused by sunlight? If we knew the time the sun came up and the position (n,s,e,w) of the house we could determine what time he saw them in the garage. Taking into account there is a large tree behind the carport.

When I say "we" I mean someone other than me.........lol I'm not good at things like that but I suspect we have someone on here who is.

Holly's room filled with reminders of missing daughter
12:39 AM, Aug. 21, 2011

A pink teddy bear that holds the words, "Luv Ya," is on Holly's bed. It was a gift from Holly's boyfriend, Drew. Karen said the 20-year-old is doing as well as can be expected.

"I text him every night, and he texts me back," she said.

LOL Im in Florida (although I do drive like Batman, but I am blonde so I get lost easy).

I don't consider Clint a suspect BUT he is the only witness to this crime and without his sometimes muddled or contradictory statements we would have NOTHING at all to go on.

I try to construct my ideas about what happened based on facts or proven details. So I have only Clints interviews to go on... But there is a lot to be said for nuance, words chosen, actions taken, etc. Still, lots of why's... And a big problem with reconstructing things is the very disjointed nature of all the (minimal) evidence and details. Since many tidbits appear in different reports, interviews and attributions, I have to consider their weight, sequence in the time line of events etc. Even Clints interviews are a bit disjointed becuase for the most part he is answering questions rather than telling his story uninterruped, start to finish.

could be shock gobbles
And while we're veering off-topic for a brief moment, I had to go back and pull this one up. If I'm ever knighted, I'm having that inscribed on my coat of arms, in three languages. French, Latin, and Turkish.

Holly Bobo's parents still relive daughter's disappearance; 'Every second without Holly is too long'
12:51 AM, Aug. 21, 2011

Dana Bobo, Holly's father, leaves for work at the McKenzie Tree Service in Parsons at about 5:30 a.m.

He returns about 10 hours later to begin a second job of sorts, a job his wife, Karen Bobo, does most hours every day — they search for their daughter.

Karen Bobo starts her morning with prayer and Scripture, then begins her search efforts. She passes out fliers, takes calls and shares information with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

"It's the same thing," Karen said. "It's like a nightmare that you live over and over every day."

Hi. I first posted on here that the "silhouettes" were caused by a light source, most probably the sun, infiltrating the carport area. We had not known the features of the carport until some of us tried to find scant evidence in news videos. From those videos it could be ascertained that the carport had open sides. Therefore, as of this point, I surmise that the silhouette shadow figures were cast on either a) the opposing wall of the carport, or b) the gravel area.

no

no information or any mention of it made anywhere that I have ever seen

snipped:

Addition:

Yes my point all along is that if Clint saw people in teh Garage why didnt he go look but instead he went back to some other part of the house and called his mom to ask her why someone was in the garage. That part does not make sense to me.

I've wondered about that as well, but thinking back to when I was a teen and how I might react in a similar situation with my older sister - I can see myself doing the same thing - figuring if my sister was outside with her BF and I came out, she would not appreciate my intrusion. Though this is more the sort of stuff that happened when we were much younger than HB and DB....

thing is clint was very clear about usign the word garage and the garage being attached to the house versus a carport which is usually an open structure adjacent to a house. From what I can tell from the poor photos the car port may only have one wall? I think they were in the garage part of the house not the outside carport IMHO

Well you dont want to make wild assumptions, but to get anywhere in developing an idea of what happend you have to make assumptions based on a number of factors.

1) Evidence. Clint heard voices outside, then heard/saw silhouettes in his garage. You dont seem to be able to get into the garage from the front (there are no doors and there are photos of this part of the house). So they had to have been around back. Clint never mentioned anything about anyone coming in the front door. It seems perhaps the family uses the back door.

2) Looking at other cases to find similarities and differences

3) Human nature (people worldwide have common behavioral patterns)

4) Witnesses - while eyewitnesses can be wrong, they can also be real good. Unless there is a reason to discount a witness, some weight should be given to what they say.

In this case, the neighbor does not say she heard Holly scream. So implying that the neighbor did say it was Holly perpetuates some of the problems in figuring out what happened (or didnt). AFAIK the neighbor heard female "bloodcurdling screams" coming from the direction of Holly's house. Yes it could be another girl out in the woods screaming but how many girls would be out in the woods screaming compared to the one girl, Holly, we know was abducted at that same time. Seems unlikely that any other girl was in the area screaming. IMHO...

Blood curdling screams? So Clint was woke up by the sounds of voices so did he ever mention that he heard any screams? As I said before I am not implying that Clint is lying or had anything to do with this at all. What I have said before is that maybe he got scared of what or who he saw and that this why he called his Mom. Perhaps he thought there was more than one man. One other possible scenario is that the police told him not to talk about the scream and other details about the case. Maybe this is another reason why he was so evasive about answering questions during the JV interview.

I had a picture in my mind about what may have happened based just on what I am hearing now and obviously all of what we hear has not been proven to be fact. I think that Holly left the house to go to her car and was startled by who she saw and she dropped her soda. I also think that at this point she may have screamed based on being startled and maybe because of who she saw. At this point the intruder may have grabbed her arm to threaten her to be quiet. Possibly at this point she may have been cut or scratched by the intruder while he grabbed her to calm her down. He may have told her to be calm I am not here to hurt you I just want to talk to you. After a short period he then in some way persuaded her to "walk over here" to a more private area to talk possibly because he then realized that someone was home.

What I don't get is how and why would Holly grab her lunch and other objects take with her. Has anyone ever mentioned that Holly's lunch pale (as it had been described) contained food? If not, this to me would be a huge clue. Ther were other personal belongings of Holly's found I believe, but I can not remember what they were. This is one of the most curious parts to me about this case. Why would anyone who is kidkapping a grown woman let her gather up certain items for her to take. As far as the food I can see that since they may have been in for a long ride and he wanted her to be able to eat since he may have not been planning to stop for a while.

I believe the lunch was in a pack that crosses over your abdomen-so, it would have taken more time to sit there and wait for her to pull it over her head rather than just walk away with it still on her.
