The thought crossed my mind that if HB and Perp was in the garage talking loud enough for CB to hear, wonder why she wasn't calling out to Clint to help her while she was close to the house rather than screaming in the woods? I am so baffled!!!!!!!!!

Better yet, why didn't he open the back door (Patio maybe) and ask if everything's ok? He knew it wasn't because the dog was barking like crazy. He stated he heard voices and it sounded like they were arguing.

...something is amiss with the mom and the son's story. They need to clarify..both of them. Give the public more information..

....and now another fundraiser...:waiting:

The link posted above had mentioned that this tragedy has proven lucrative for the family. I have to agree with that.

I liked the post above concerning not hearing from DS, which is so odd. Even the BF of the girl in Aruba commented on her disappearance and she was with someone she met on Match.com. I wonder if there was trouble in paradise with their relationship. I speculate about everything, but with nothing concrete to go on, it is hard not to.

....If we follow the way they are going about the pastor and the father of the bride story, we may get an idea of how they think and operate there.

...I am three thousand miles from there and I can tell this is an entirely different mindset and culture even though we co-exist in the USA. The pastors and the sheriffs have all the power and the people tow the line when they are told to do so. Very different from the big cities on the West Coast....who do not fear Police or God.

In other notorious crimes in small towns, it did no good whatsoever to talk to the town folks. The media would try, and the people go in the house and close their blinds, most likely peering from behind them. Media would pack up and leave and the town is glad they did....

I had an experience of calling a news outlet who reported inaccurate information. They admitted to it...but did nothing about it. When I asked if they had any info on a lg Company in the area, they clammed up. They said, "Look, we believe our LE and that does not have relevance to the case. All I wanted was operating hours....sheesh! I sensed a tone of anger towards me for even approaching the subject.

It appears Darden operates the same way. Strangers are not welcome and they do not share information easily. I bet the pastors are the ones with information about almost all activities in the area. Some pastors are LE...amazing..so the network is formed. What the sheriff knows, the pastor knows and vice-versa.

ITA. I have said that in earlier posts. I am assuming she knew Clint was home so why didn't she scream out for Clint when she was first confronted in the garage, carport or wherever it was? I know different people react differently. I still think she would have screamed right away. Natural reaction when taken by surprise or scared by someone.

We moved to the south over 20 years ago. Darden sounds similar to mountain towns around here. Things I've learned and observed over the years- wearing camouflage anytime, even to a funeral, is not out of place. Not being able to tell the difference between a stranger and a hunting buddy in camo is very unusual- yes, even from the back. There is a hierarchy. Locals will seek out and first speak to the eldest person at a function before doing anything else. They will also acknowledge and go to a retired pastor before any current pastor, teacher, LE, etc. There also seems to be an us/them mentality- not in a hostile way but in a circle the wagons we take care of our own way. We mentioned at a gathering that our children were Southerners since they were born in the South. They laughed and said even though they were born in the south they were not Southerners. Now our friends know their properties like the back of their hands. I'm talking couple hundred acres properties. They know when someone has trespassed and yes they have chased people down and pointed guns at them for being on their properties. IMO some of the locals know what happened.

Well, Karen has said drew is not involved ... that she spoke with him earlier. I would like to know when and how. Did she call him before she left for work? Why call your DD's BF prior to 7:00am? Did she see him @ the house?

We have not heard from Holly's classmates. Nurses students wind up being very close as they proceed through school. I have seen some nightmares and ruthless crimes though..but I digress. Perhaps somebody else from her school is involved or has kge. of what happened.

I would like to hear from her classmates. Sometimes when their are tests, nursing students will study in a group. If it is a term paper, not so much. It is necessary to know what she was doing 24hr prior to the disappearance.

What is very confusing and frustrating to me and perhaps others or maybe just me :innocent:
is TBI says nobody has been cleared but yet they didn't name a POI or a suspect or even mention who the heck they are referring to.

First of all, in order to be cleared you have to be a POI or suspect. You can't be cleared if you're not suspected, KWIM?

Secondly, when they say nobody who do they mean? The ones closest to her, the town of Darden, the entire nation or the entire world?

In most cases, the ones closest to the victim are cleared first and then the investigation goes outwards. So is TBI telling us that CB, DS, her parents are still being investigated but they won't come right out and say it? If so, why?

As far as the investigation goes, nobody has been cleared in the eyes of the TBI, but nobody has been named as a person of interest or a suspect in the girl's alleged abduction.

I think the key to this may be the pastor and the man who died. Something don't add up.

I don't see the connection. In the article posted, I don't recall if they named the pastor. Is he one of the pastor's that has been supporting the Bobos? Maybe I missed it. The only thing I remember is some scuffle broke out over some silly seating arrangements? The dad of the bride had it out with the pastor and a terrible accident happened? Maybe I should reread the article.

What are your thoughts?

Maybe you should read the article, it gives the name of the pastor, and the name of the Church affiliation. Terrible accidents don't usually happen in the supposed "House of God", at least pastors don't usually push people causing death. I don't know whose fault it was, don't even know the truth of what the disagreement was all about, or why there was a "Cinderella" wedding at the church - did she drive up in a pumpkin drawn by mice, or was it rats, then lose her glass slipper? Was she a stepdaughter?

If I were a member of that church I'd run like 'ell, but that's just me. I tend to have a more suspicious mind than most and my "rat" sniffer is vibrating big time.

My opinion only

This is the article I was referring to. This one doesn't mention the pastor's name nor the church? Was there another article? TIA

A vigil was held in her village last night as residents offered prayers in the hope for her safe return.

Chris Warren, of Amazing Grace Ministries in Parsons, has been praying for Holly and said he has been encouraged by support from the local community.
'I'm sure it means a lot to know people are behind them and praying for them,' he told the Jackson Sun.

'I can't imagine how devastating this is, but I'm sure to know people are helping and doing as much as they can means a lot.'

When a person goes missing, LE starts within a small circle. They look at the immediate family first, then they start widening the circle... other relatives, and close friends. In the very beginning, everyone is considered a suspect until LE can clear them. But a person does not have to be a suspect, officially, to be cleared. Ex: If there is a family member who lives in another city or state, LE will check them out just to verify they were not around when the person went missing. Technically, they are not a suspect, but LE still has to take steps to clear them.
My guess is that they are not going to name a suspect until they have enough evidence to arrest someone. Since Clint was the only other person at home, there is no way to verify his story, so officially he can't be cleared, but technically they don't believe he had anything to do with it.
Is this clear as mud?

I understand what you're saying but after 5 months, one would think they would have enough evidence to suggest whether this was a stranger abduction or someone close? Right? I would think the family and BF would be cleared by now. Something is not adding up. There is more, imo. I think the family would love to be cleared so the investigation can move on but it hasn't happened which leads me to believe there must be more to this than we are privy to.

They must've gathered fingerprints, or other evidence that the perp left behind. I can't believe there was nothing from the perp.
