That is a fascinating blog. Wow!

While browsing through reports from the first week, I came across a NG show transcript that had a couple bits of information I had forgotten and figured I would throw these back out there. I had forgotten how many RSO there are in that neighborhood and community. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1104/19/ng.01.html
--NORVILLE: Well, we actually just had a graphic and maybe we can put it back up of the known sex offenders -- the registered sex offenders within a six-mile area of the Bobo home. There are 251 within a wider area but a much smaller number within a six-mile area, only 14.

Is that significant, Wendy Walsh?

WENDY WALSH, PH.D., PSYCHOLOGIST, EXPERT ON MOMLOGIC.COM: I mean I can walk six miles in a day and if there are 14 men who have been caught, I`d like to say whenever I talk about the amount of sex offenders in a neighborhood you have to remember those are the ones who`ve been caught. That that`s a big ratio in a six-mile radius, don`t you think? (more than 2 every square mile.)

NORVILLE: Well, it strikes me in a very sparsely populated area, the population is only 2500. That strikes me as an awful lot of people but there`s not necessarily a connection between their presence and a crime.--

--NORVILLE: Tammy Ramey, I`ll ask you about how well Holly would have known the woods out there?

RAMEY(family friend): I can`t really answer that. That is a very, very densely wooded area, lots of briars. She wouldn`t have been the type to just taken off to take a walk through the woods. We just don`t do that around here. --

--NORVILLE: Earlier this evening, we talked with one of the Bobos` cousins. Her father and Holly`s father are brothers. And she chose not to speak to us on camera, but she said of this idea that Holly would have been going into the woods with her boyfriend -- he first thought that the boyfriend had gone hunting, it`s turkey season down in Tennessee, and that he wanted to show her a bird that he`d killed, and that was his first impression, which might explain why to many of us who wonder why you wouldn`t have sounded the alarm then -- that would explain why that is.

Does that seem plausible to you, Ms. Ramey?

RAMEY: Yes, it does. This area -- we`re a huge, huge hunting area, and most of the men in this county, you know, they deer hunt, they turkey hunt, they squirrel hunt, they coon hunt. And a man in camouflage during hunting season is nothing unusual around here. I mean, you don`t pay any attention to it.--

I would like to say I am not trying to bash CB, this just raises more specific questions to me. So we know CB thought that the kneeling silhouetes were looking at a turkey that the BF had killed. Then HB and camo man walk toward the woods together as CB catches a glimpse(or more) of them. We have been informed that HB would probably never just walk off into the woods. If the BF brought the turkey to the house to show it off, then what did CB think they were doing walking off toward the woods? Also, I still wonder what CB was doing, besides talking to his mom on the phone, to catch a glimpse of his sister and camo man walking away.

THANK YOU FROGZILLA for that last paragraph.

I'm going to say it again: IMHO she was not abducted or led away by a stranger. And the person closest to her has the answers.

No, I do not believe that is the article being referred to. Also, the link to the blog you posted is highly suspect. I think most people who have been following this case can take a good guess at who the author really is.

No, it was an article on wordpress that I was referring to. And I don't think the author of this blog is CH, the writer of the articles on examiner...she does not live anywhere near TN and if she had been there and had access to these people mentioned in this blog, she probably would have been writing about them all along, JMO.

That is a fascinating blog. Wow!

It raised a whole lot of questions in my mind. Like why out with this blog now?
How did she manage all those photos? Were these the people in question fb poses??

I for one plan to deconstruct her jelly nailed carefully to the wall.

Got to give her props for doing her homework, and naming names. True or not.....its something to chew on and disprove.

I am pretty sure that blog is not considered MSM...which would mean no, it can't be part of the discussion...I am sure a mod will tell us for sure.

Wow! I don't even know what to say about that blog. Pretty negative info about a lot of people........and with pictures! Yikes!!
Think before we run with this perhaps a little MOD help here?:truce: Is the following blog credible for discussion??
We have an unknown author with no sources making wild accusations about people with nothing to back it up. A certain facebook group is gone, so now we get this? Hard to believe this person is able to do this carp and get away with it. It makes me wonder how this person is connected to HB abduction to keep putting themselves in the middle of it.

Allow material like that on WS and we turn into Topix. No go.

  • #731
There is NO WAY mods will allow that here, I guarantee it. There is not one thing in that blog that has been backed up by MSM or LE, as far as I can tell.

Also I came across the lunchbox again. Does not say bag. It says white lunchbox near a creek 8 miles away. Does anybody know where it was found? Was it near a highway?

Like Route 69 where the slideshow showed people on the ground in a line searching on their hands and knees?

Here is a map that shows where the lunchbox was
found.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=....679217,-88.175486&spn=0.006571,0.016394&z=17

I noticed on the linked map that there was some other evidence found (not the lunchbox) at U.S. Hwy. 641 (Eaton St.) and Hwy. 69 on 4/24/11. It appears to be about a block away from the Oakdale Funeral Home. I thought this was kind of macabre; it almost seems like a mocking from the perp.

Back in April when it was mentioned that it appeared things might have purposely been left to throw LE off the trail, I proposed that the perp might be someone who was an LE reject who wanted to get back at them...
What you mention got me thinking about that again...

I have never seen anything like this case in my life.
That "blog" that was posted is horrendous!
I cant find anything on this SAR guy besides that it appears he owns or manages a record label and has a very poor reputation.
I can find no other missing person case that he has attempted to help in.
I looked up the author of this blog and can not find anything on her and what I did find was on a completely inappropriate site but did have her name and said she worked in "journalism."
What is really going on here?

I believe I saw somewhere that the Jackson Sun was featuring the Holly info from submitted bits on Oct. 9th, but it was on another forum, so no link.

If, as it appears to me at the moment, Holly was indeed the victim
of an unplanned abduction and possible unplanned murder
because she interrupted someone who was poking around
her home when she suddenly came out the door and surprised
the perp the lack of other similar abductions/murders in the immediate
area might make sense. If abduction/murder is not what he is about
then perhaps he is just continuing to do what he usually does,
theft etc.

On the other hand if she was stalked and killed by some sex offender who
then stayed on in the area I would expect him to continue on
doing what crimes he does and if he has now escalated to murder
I would expect to see more such crimes and more daring over time
unless he has left the area and is committing crimes elsewhere now.

For now I continue to think this was an unplanned event by someone
who had (past tense) lived or worked or hunted in the area.
I doubt the perp is still in the area but that is just a guess based on some
other cases.

It has been said that Clint was home from college for a short time
when Holly went missing and this brings to mind the possibility
that perhaps other people in the area also had someone come home from
college for a short time and then leave after Holly went missing.
People also get rotated home on leave from the service so most places
do not really have a static population these days even if it seems so
at first glance.

County road workers and utility people and mail delivery and surveyors
all travel around a county and get to know the area and hunters too.
Any one of those might not even have been currently employed
there (but perhaps had been employed there in the past)
and thus not currently living in the area but might visit to hunt there
or go to visit someone.

It has been put forth early on that Holly was believed to still be in the
state.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/holly-bobo-search-country-singer-whitney-duncan-pleads/story?id=13397819

To me that seemed to indicate LE expected to find remains in the state
either in the woods or in someones home property or that maybe they
suspected a local runaway thing. Or maybe they just were keeping the
FBI out of their turf by saying state lines were not crossed?
(I hope that is not why.)

Holly was abducted in daylight. Although you could keep a victim nearby
in the woods for quite some time I believe that the search for Holly
getting started was fast enough to have shown the perp did not do that
but instead exited the area as fast as possible.

So where does one take an abducted woman in broad daylight?
I would guess he either headed straight for home or straight out of state.
I lean toward out of state. (Maybe he even lives out of state now?)
Depending on his state of mind he may even have moved a couple of
times since the crime.

Holly's stuff was tossed aside before they got clear out of the area
and that concerns me. Perhaps it says her stuff was no longer important
since she would never be coming back.

Saying I think this was an unplanned event does not mean I think this was
done by someone who was a total stranger to the area but not being
a total stranger to the area does not equal being well known to Holly
either. It is possible Holly had seen him before but it is not not required
for the crime to have taken place.
