Note that I do not believe the car port in the back to be the garage that Clint spoke of. Clint never said he looked out a window into the garage either.
:banghead: Dang it the story changes again

In the video (and in the accompanying text) Holly's mom says this:
identify who was with his sister.
Thinking of that day, Bobo said, All of us took off running into the woods. They followed the path, maybe 15 minutes after Holly was last seen.
But that chase, and the searches that followed, turned up only Hollys lunchbag and a few other pieces of evidence, which TBI did not want to describe. Before we were lead to believe that they did NOT follow the trail and that it took a while for LE to even begin to look
The video does, for the first time, give a better glimpse at the back yard, some of the distances and angles involved, etc.
BBM I didnt know there was a chase into the woods either. (I thought Clint stated that he prevented his mother and others from doing just that. However, he then had stated [Im paraphrasing here] he realized he would not be able to preserve the scene because of people trampling into the woods?) So the chase turned up some items of evidence? This is a first Im hearing of this.
And why will LE not let us know what evidence has been found? Is it because they dont want anyone falsely admitting to the crime? Or is it because they dont want the perp to know what theyve found? That doesnt seem to be a successful strategy for LE. I would appreciate a much more aggressive investigation in this case.
Frustrating.

I thought it was specifically stated before that they DIDN'T run into the woods until hours later. So, now they all charged into the woods following Holly and the abductor right away?
I am starting to wonder if extreme pain and stress isn't started to weigh on some of these statements. Maybe in her mind they did charge into the woods right away?
I think that the CONFUSION is what makes this case so fascinating!!! It is like the pieces of the puzzle are all there, but they keep changing shapes!
They always like to keep some evidence from the public, for many reasons. One is, if someone happens to mention something that only LE knows, then they want to know how this person knew it. It might indicate that the person was either involved in the crime, or knows the person who is. Who says they aren't aggressively investigating? Just because they don't give a news conference every week to keep the public informed doesn't mean they aren't investigating. We are not entitled to information, what they do give out is always to help the case. They are not going to release information if it could hurt their case. Good things to keep in mind.
This latest video release solves the question of where Holly's car was parked. KB points to the unattached carport on their property.
That makes it clear that Holly's car had not been parked in an attached garage or along the driveway as speculated.
How did the attached garage rumor/business come about anyway? From the beginning, I had thought the car was parked in an outdoor carport detached from the house. How did that fact get muddied?

Also we've questioned what window CB was looking out of when he claimes he saw Holly being led away by a man into the woods. KB points to the window that creates the top section of the door (back/side?) to the house. It looks like a side door that one would call their back door. "Her son, Clint, last saw the two from this back door window, too far to tell who was with his sister". (Scratching head as I wonder what CB was thinking as his sister, who is supposed to be driving to school, decides to take a detour into the woods with some guy - even if with boyfriend, for what reason? And what caused CB to look out the back door window at that exact time to begin with? Wasn't it because their dog was barking? Why not open the door and yell out, 'hey Holly, everything alright?' Scratching head again.)
What remains unclear after watching the video is what direction KB is pointing to when she indicates where, according to CB, HB was being led into the woods. As KB speaks the reporter and her are walking along and it's unclear where they are standing by the time KB points toward the woods. That and editing make it unclear in what direction KB pointed. Logic would suggest that she pointed to the wooded area to the right (when facing) of the outdoor carport but it remains unclear.
Thanks for all the help news people and editors! :banghead:
I don't think they are saying that those who "charged into the woods" found the items, as we know the lunchbag was not found there...just that some items were eventually found...at least that was my take on this latest installment of garbled info...

No offense, Woe, but I'm sure you are incorrect. Karen points to the garage/carport attached to the house, that's where Holly's car was parked. Here's the still from the video. She's pointing to the attached garage/carport. You can tell by the pool location.

Woe's response ~ No offense taken - I appreciate you clarifying for me what I could not/or was never able to see. For some reason, I never saw the carport to the side of the pool area there. I thought someone said that that area inside the house had been converted into a family room. I feel like an idiot now. All along I thought the focus was on the opposite side of the house. See how the tree blocks the entrance to the carport in the aerial below and it's impossible to make out the driveway/road leading to/from it? Combined with the other picture you posted, I see it now. Thank you.
Here's a view to orient yourself. In the above pic Karen is pointing to the bottom right part of the house. She's standing in the unpaved driveway by where the bottom part of the pool is, pointing at the house.

And here is where you can get a feel for the vantage point Clint had when he saw Holly and the abductor walk into the woods. Clint was looking out the back door and he saw the two walking into the woods where Karen and the reporter are standing.

Also, like Carla said, we don't know where Clint was when he saw the silhouettes in the garageport. Maybe there is a window from the house into the garageport, I don't know. I don't believe he could have seen out the back door into the garageport because I think there is a wall that runs along that side of the garage (and the back door opens to the back yard, not to the garage).
