Really, having been on this story since Day 1, I blame LE and the media so much more than the Bobos for any conflicting versions of events that we have out. NOTHING about a "Holly just ran off" theory makes any sense with what is known about Holly and her life. It also doesn't square with the way LE has worked this case, so they, who know much more than we do, must have a reason to be working this as a CRIME and not a voluntary disappearance.

I agree, she didn't run away. year later no word.......not a runaway.
he worked in stealth mode........he was very serious about what he was doing. he planned it all out over time. not just one weekend.

good thing the brother scene this. or they may have treated it as a runaway.

I think the blood found indicated that something had happened, something enough to make it non-voluntary. It is more than they get in many cases.

Sorry, just backtracking a bit...Did Holly text or actually talk to her friend on the phone right before she was presumed to leave the house for school?

P.S. I looked at Smooth Operator's timeline. It says that Hannah called Holly from her land line to Holly's cellphone. That was 7am. After that it's a crapshoot.

What do we presume we know about Holly? Nursing school, pretty and thus did not want for male company, had a boyfriend, church-goer, good voice, sang in church choir, something of a tomboy, shy around strangers....what else? Anything else?

I am someone else...but it was never specified...just "camo"...and not whether it was complete, head-to-toe, included a hat, or anything more specific...

Yes thats the impression I have had all along and the show just reenforced that. The suspect and Holly would have been, perhaps, a car length away.

This is the first time I read that Clint thought it was their cousin. Every other version I've listened to and read mentions her boyfriend.

IMO, AMW and the Holly Bobo story as we have seen it evolve was a perfect storm, in that I have seen AMW mistakes on other cases, sometimes it seemed almost as though they did it to make things even more dramatic, or could be honest errors...but in this case, anytime something is changed, added or altered we all go a little nuts. I honestly think the issues that came up tonight were more AMW's fault than Clint or anyone in family telling yet another new story or twist. JMOJMOJMO

(I am also doubtful about the tip JW is tweeting about, panning out...but would love to be wrong about that one.)

Yes it had Clint, Karen and to a lesser degree Dana (don't know if he said anything but he was on the show).

The show was good in that it got the story out to a huge audience that can and has produced results in the past. But, for those who have followed Holly's case for the last year, it was maddening in that it, again, revised many details and sequence of events yet again. And, true or not, John Walsh said Holly's cell phone WAS FOUND and he even flashed a map on screen to show where it was found in relation to the house.

"Tennessee police are still searching for 21-year-old Holly Bobo, who disappeared on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

Cops say Holly may have been abducted from her home in Decatur County, Tenn., at around 7:30 a.m. Her family says that's when she gets ready to leave for her classes in nursing school.

She was last seen by her brother, who says he saw her walking into the woods with a man he thought was their cousin. The man was wearing camouflage, but that was not an unusual sight in the area at that time because it was turkey-hunting season.

Moments later, a neighbor drove up saying she heard yelling coming from the garage 20 minutes prior. Realizing something was terribly wrong, Holly's brother dialed 9-1-1. The neighbor had contacted Holly's mother at work a few minutes earlier, and she had called 9-1-1 as well before rushing home.

When officers arrived and checked the house, they found evidence of blood on the floor of the garage.

In the days following her disappearance, cops say hundreds of volunteers came out to assist with the search, which stretched into parts of Henry, Carroll, Benton and Decatur counties.

On April 14, 2011, Holly's cell phone and lunch bag were found on a roadside in Parsons, Tenn., according to the family.

Holly is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 110 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, though her natural brown hair may have grown out."

And Clint didn't specifically say "cousin". It was John Walsh who said it when recounting what Clint said, so who knows. John Walsh also said that Clint assumed Holly and the camouflaged guy were "just going hunting", which doesn't make sense so my guess is that Walsh is pretty loose with the facts.

Clint also showed he had to open a door to see into the garage area so he was not looking out a window at some structure across from the house as some people have surmised. The door would be at the nose end of the cars, and the back of the cars faces out to the back yard. This would be the "car port" area although they call it the garage. It's open air to some extent.

I'm watching it again right now, Carla, and I think there's just an opening where the garage meets the house. I don't think there's a door. So you could conceivably look out the window on the back door and see in the garage but you'd have to look to the side, at an angle.

Well, we believe so. That part of the story seems consistent. Other parts of the opening act seem matters of conjecture.

YES, I see some of the discrepancies now. amw cousin, JVM boyfriend on and on. And the LEOs attitude of its our case well handle it. I could be wrong about the LEOs, but its what I think about them now.

April 13 2011 was a Wednesday. I found it somewhat strange being Wednesday. Most I have read about occurred between Friday and Sunday and perhaps but rare on a Monday. But a Wednesday? Could be significant on why he choose that day. Could have been a off work day for him. And he planned it for Wednesday morning.

2500 in the area. Very small and spread out. And that house is very well secluded. She was targeted. He met her somewhere before, or learned about her and became fixated on her. Not sure if it had to do with being related to the country singer but I am sure he knew the connection.

Taken her he had to know it would turn out to be a hi profile case.
Which added to the excitement. That blood found in the garage. Since none was found at the house, and only in the garage as a starting point, she probably cut her arm or leg on something in there. They probably crouched down because he heard someone around the door at the house and was just waiting to head off to the woods.

He may have been a fan of the country singer, and found out about the relationship there in the area. She may have been targeted because of that. Or he seen her perform before and then found out about her relationship with the country singer which added to his excitment .

That logging road near by. On a work day I assume that area would have been busy with traffic hauling things. I assume it was an active site back then and not shut down. Was there schedule work to be done on that Wednesday. Just curious.

He had a preplanned place to take her. could have been someone owning a rv. those 4 wheel vehicles, off road types. The purse being found 8 miles away could have been dropped on the way out. But more than likely it was placed there later on. Could have used there own vehicle such as a truck, but wouldn't want to take a chance on being seen. Especially if there was no schedule work in the area for that day.

After going into the woods, how close was the nearest trail for using one of those rv vehicles?
Or a road for ones personal vehicle. I think it was pretty close from the edge of the woods where they entered.

But in the past Clint said he did NOT look out a window to see them in the garage and in this AMW show there is a shot of him opening the door and you can see the cars right there. It's an out of sequence shot too from what I remember. They or the narrator may have even been talking about something else but Clint opens the door. IIRC it is AFTER the outdoor scene where they said they found blood by the cars and showed the cars from behind.

An RV is a camper - like a Winnebago or something. I don't think anyone had a big camper driving around in the woods.

An ATV - All Terrain Vehicle is a possibility. Those are the common 3 and 4 wheelers. The thing is with an ATV is that they are incredibly noisy and you could hear one a mile away. Since Clint and neighbors were outside around the time of the abduction, and no one has ever mentioned specifically hearing an ATV driving up/off I think perhaps one was not used. As has been discussed before too you would need another truck or vehicle with a trailer to bring the ATV to the area around the Bobo house. If you had a captive you woudn't drive it down the highway (how could you?) and it can take a few minutes (again with a captive) to load an ATV onto a truck or into a trailer for a get away.

There are trails, paths, logging roads, etc. right behind the Bobo house. You could most likely drive a jeep, 4X4 truck up within possibly 50 yards of the house and no one would know. There seems to be access to the trails from Swan Johnson Road just above the Bobo's driveway. There are also trails and roads just south of the house if the suspect doubled back either on foot or in his vehicle.

This image has always been useful because it was taken in winter and the trees are not so full. Holly's car would have been parked just in front of where the white car is pointing. Clint said she and the suspect were walking towards the 11 o'clock position (to the left of the top center of the photo)
