It appears the perp confronted her in the carport. If Clint's car was there, that would be foolish (if he had a brain). So, if Clint's car was in the shed, why did the perp hide his car? How did he think he was going to get a girl into the woods with him?

Why didn't the Golden Retriever put up a fuss? What was going on? Holly's little dog was on high alert. Any word about the Retriever and where he was located after the crime? He could have led them to her.

Had Dana not shared that... someone could come upon a pink purse and not realize it is important evidence. Look what happened when they found Sierra Lamar's purse.

They are still looking for that purse, or it has been found and they are not saying.

I have to tell this story, as it relates to the scream. One time I came home from work late at night. All the house lights were off, and I assumed my husband was asleep. My nerves were on edge, because at work, I had gone outside to put something in the external refrigerator behind the business, and a man was just standing out there. I was alone, and it really spooked me. I ran back in the business and locked the back door.

So when I got home, all the lights were out, and I assumed my husband was already in bed sleeping. I opened the front door and entered, and he (my husband) jumped out and grabbed me. I let out a series of blood-curdling screams and dropped to my knees in tears. Then he felt horrible, as it was just done jokingly! Bad idea, but he meant no harm.

The point is, when you are a girl, and a guy jumps out who is 8 inches taller and a hundred pounds heavier, I think the natural reaction is to scream! That is why I think Holly was surprised, and I don't think he probably came up from behind and put his hand over her mouth. I think he either jumped out and scared her-- from the shadows of the garage or the car! He could have grabbed her around the waist. I wonder though, if he didn't come from the front, and when she screamed, his reaction was to punch her--to put her down quickly--so the screaming would stop!

There is no telling how it went down, but I had to relate my gut reaction to being startled from the front!

It appears this perp picked up anything that belonged to her and took it with him. This is not usual behavior of a stranger abduction but it is the behavior of somebody that is staging a scene for it to look like a stranger abducton.

I was just thinking about this hiding of his car. If Clint's car wasn't there and he knew the others were gone, why would he hide in the woods. Why not just drive right up and grab Holly?

My theory is that he didn't come to abduct her! I think he came to assault her, but Clint's being home foiled that! You wouldn't want anyone to see your car sitting at a house where a rape occurred! The neighbor might see it parked in the driveway! Better to hide it out on a service road, where at least if someone saw it, they'd think it just belonged to a hunter!

I am having a big problem with word interpretation. I have heard driveway from the very first day. To me a driveway is a path that leads to the front of your home.

I didn't know Karen did an interview yesterday.

A carport is a structure that holds a car/s but is not enclosed. If this were a stranger, why wouldn't he have walked through the front door, or did he? I don't recall the home being processed, but I have to assume it was. The neighbor would hear a scream from the front of the home easier then from the back of the home or carport.

We need to know where those blood drops were.

Please put out a poster telling people not to go with them becasue they have a weapon. It is better to die at the spot you are standing on then go with them. Most criminals will not kill you on the spot; their aim is to get you away from the spot to do their crime. I know for a fact, most will run away. We need to teach our loved ones how to survive.

In this case...given the isolation of the area, perps have less fear...darn shame. She screamed but no one came. :banghead:

When my step-son used to live here, he was always walking in the kitchen behind me, and even though I knew he was at home, he made absolutely no noise, and I always jumped right off the floor.

He always said to me "You ain't livin' right."
To this day, I don't know what that means.

Yes, you should lie down on the ground, and then when the criminal steps to you, you wrap one leg around one of his, twist, and toss him to the ground. Saw that on tv.

Someone knowledgeable in these things told me that if anyone ever tried to take me off, to laugh at him. He said that the laughter will shame a sociopath, and he will leave.

So lie down, and laugh.

But I don't understand how a neighbor could see anything. Screaming doesn't seem to work either. Screaming usually works in most parts of the country...but if you are in a forest, there has to be different rules.

In urban and suburban areas...DON'T leave with them.....EVER!

It was the house dog inside that was barking, according to Clint in the video interview. Holly had a little grey dog, too. It's shown in that same video, I believe. As far as I know, there's no record of what the outside dog did that day.

I'll tell you what, for about $19 you can get a personal alarm that has a keychain ring. When you yank it away from the key ring, it sounds an alarm that can be heard for half a mile. And even if someone steps on it, it will not break. I think this would most likely cause any perp to run off.
I have 2 of them.
