this case just gets weirder every time there is new information. so, according to the new video -
1) she walked out of her kitchen door to her car, which was parked in the attached carport, less than ten feet away from the kitchen door. the carport has a partial wall in the middle (creating two separate bays for parking).
2) they indicate the window cb was viewing from was the kitchen door window, about ten feet from her car's driver side door.
3) the garage is away from the house about thirty feet from the kitchen door (through the carport), with the garage doors facing the house and carport
4) cb looked through the kitchen door window, through the carport, to the right of the garage and saw them walking into the woods
5) the dog named "champ" followed them into the woods
6) family believes perp was hiding between her driver side door and the carport wall, watching the reflection in her driver side front bumper for her to open the kitchen door.
7) the path in the woods is reported as two minutes from a main road. family believes perp had car on main road.
8) her bedroom has one window, with blinds and curtains. her bed faces the window, with the bottom of the bed about five feet from the window (upthread there had been questions about someone watching her in her room).
9) the kitchen has a window, separate from the kitchen door window (approx five feet to the left) that looks out directly to where her car is parked. her car is approximately five feet from this window. at 0:41 you can see the stove in the reflection of the window. at 0:56 you can see the stove behind cb with the small window directly behind him. the car would have been parked five feet from there.
questions/comments:
1) which door does the rest of the family use to leave the house? if it's the kitchen door then the perp couldn't have been near her car too long or her family would have seen him when they left.
2) i'm confused about cb looking out the kitchen door at them kneeling in the carport - a) unless they were in the very front of her car he couldn't have seen them and there's not much room in front of her car, b) it's not even ten feet away, i'm simply surprised they were that close, i had imagined it to be about thirty or forty feet away. it would have made a lot more sense to look out the kitchen window to the left because you would have been looking at them to your left about five feet away.
3) unless the basic tenets of physics were altered that morning, if the reported scream was her and she was in her carport as indicated, there is no possible way a neighbor 1/4 mi would have heard and someone in the house would not. the location of her car is ten feet from the kitchen door and maybe five feet from the kitchen window.
