Hi chi. Long time-no see. So many young babies with amber alerts and biological relatives involved lately. What’s going on? Is COVID a factor?

I wonder what "new information" the have to go to an Amber alert that covers surrounding counties?
It makes me wonder about older siblings or other close relatives he could quickly find. He ran into the woods, right? Could he have had a phone on him at one point and they found a ping? I’m definitely interested in a stressed nine year old’s mindset while running.

New information? What changed from seeing him running into the woods.

not seeing him running into the woods.
not meant as snark towards you, just literally thinking that never happened.

***BREAKING: THE TBI HAS NOW ISSUED AN AMBER ALERT.
What does this mean?
It means in just the past few hours new information has surfaced indicating Jordan Allen Gorman is in imminent danger.
Initially, the 9-year-old was listed as missing — a possible runaway.
Now there is also concern he could have been abducted or is the victim of foul play.
My understanding is the parents are cooperating.
Maybe the boy is just lost in the woods.

According to this article he doesn't have a cell phone. I suppose he could have obtained one somewhere...anything is possible. ? MOO

He does not have a cell phone and a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter has been launched to assist in the search.

Hmmm. Ok.
Do we think he ran away then got abducted? Or do we think he was simply abducted/met with foul play and never actually ran into the woods at all?

Interesting. Something’s up that they are holding back. Maybe? One article said he got in a fight with his parents and one said disagreement.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are assisting with the search, and tracking dogs from Montgomery County are expected to arrive today.

Miller said three teams of tracking dogs searched for Jordan on Sunday, but wind made it difficult for them to pick up a scent.

Authorities said Jordan ran into the woods after a disagreement at his home on Valley View Road near Wanda Lane.

Yep. My thoughts too.
There are requirements for a missing person to go to an amber alert. So I’m guessing more is known now and he didn’t just get upset and run into the forest.

I assume the new information is "..... who ran away from his home after a fight with his parents. " This is the first I've heard of that from the news articles that I had read prior.

They knew that yesterday but perhaps new information about the "disagreement" has come to light since then. The thought also crossed my mind that a weapon is missing from the home - I sure hope not - and I don't see how that would warrant the statewide alert. ? MOO

I didn't realize the 'fight at home' information was known yesterday. I saw the news last night and this morning, but just now saw the information about the 'fight at home.' Sure is more concerning now as it sounds like there is more to it.
