Ugh.
NewsChannel 5 has obtained a copy of the fully unsealed warrant. The document indicates that
investigators searched the property back in May because they didn’t believe Joseph Daniels’ confession that he beat the boy to death and then drove away in his Chevrolet Impala to dispose of the body.
According to the warrant, nearby security video shows that vehicle never left the home. So, the TBI decided the father hid the body somewhere on the property. They searched, and by all indications, did not find the boy's remains.

I understand that sometimes a case beats the odds, meaning a child thought to be harmed by a caregiver was actually abducted. Having said that I find it hard to believe in Joe Clyde's case.
It's even harder to believe both these parents are so mentally unstable that they can't decipher reality from fantasy and so they made confessions then recanted.
I'm afraid they're going to walk and probably even sue the county. I still think about baby Delano, another "no body" case; overwhelming evidence pointed to the father murdering him. All it took for the jury to find him not guilty was the suggestion by his lawyer that maybe dad sold Delano. Double jeopardy attached and that was the end.
IMO Joe Clyde was murdered and the confession was concocted by a parent who gamed the system. But it won't matter if evidence never appears. Sadly, this may be another case relegated to the "Missing But nk Not Forgotten" forum.
All MOO. Thank you Nick Beres for keeping on top of Joe Clyde's case.
