TN - Skyla Cheng, 17, Knoxville, last seen on 31 October 2025

This is an interesting missing, as its a case from kingsport city, TN. What caught my eye is that this is technically not a recent missing person.

As she was reported missing on Dec. 15, 2023, in which she vanished from Jonesborough, Tennessee. Please see the link below:

It is believed by Law enforcement she may have traveled to Texas at the time. Afterwards she was located on the 15th of April 2025, but again was reported missing, its a bit of conflict.
Skyla Cheng is a white/Asian female with brown eyes and brown hair, 5’6″ tall, 110 lbs., with an unknown clothing description. Both were last seen in the area of New Beason Well Road.

The reason it's a bit of a conflict because she is reported missing again on the 13th of April 2025. There is a facebook post indicating that:

She has been missing from Kingsport, TN, for months now. Skyla Cheng was last seen on April 13th, 2025. She is described as a now 17-year-old female who is 5’ 6” tall and 110 lbs with brown hair...

The most recent sighting is on the 31st of October 2025, Skyla Cheng fled the property of Lakeway Urgent Care on foot. She was last seen running north towards Cumberland Ave. (UT Campus) on foot. Last seen in Knockville, TN

She is listed in NAMUS: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

In my opinion, while she is considered a runaway, it is very strange she keeps appearing and disappearing without authorities catching her in time. The biggest concern is what is she running from or whom is she running from. Its very clear is she still within the state of Tennessee. This whole thing doesn't sit right from me.

Back in April Skyla was with another 15 year old girl, were they both in Texas? What drew them there?

The 10/31 sighting at Lakeway Urgent Care is concerning, if she was indeed seeking care. That strikes me as odd though unless she had a fake ID and cash? That area also has food, a mall, and Publix grocery store. Do we have more details on the sighting?

I will show the google map. Basically, I am slightly farmilar with the area. Techincally if she is running away from Lakeway Urgent Care on foot then she turned to the right towards the Cumberland Ave. (UT Campus).

Whats the strange is how the trail became cold its almost impossible. Also there is a post from facebook: A Voice For The Voiceless, Inc.

Apparently she was last seen at 11:00 am. This is very interesting as that area tends to be crowded around that time. The big question is why she was in urgent care, how did she got there and why did she started to suddenly run away. This case is very strange because she has runaway before but the good thing is she is still alive being and continues to be sighted. Lets pray she gets located soon.

Exactly my thought. There is something strange here we are missing something. Sadly there is not much of information about this case. Local sources are scare as a whole. I will see what I can dig up further.

I am not sure if she was with the teenager or whether the PD in Kingsport for some weird reason decided to report them together. But they were in the same area from the looks of it. Unknown if Skyla knew the other teen.

I realize PB was found safe, the post above says "she may be with Skyla". So there's reason to believe they were together. PB has about 7 FB pages starting at a very young age, Skyla had two - that always worries me.

Can you point me to where you read Skyla was actually inside Lakeway UC please? I might have missed that in one of your links.

Interesting, It make sense why PD reported them together, but the plot thickens.

We don't know the circumstance of why they ranway. Also why is Skyla continuing to evade. I hate to speculate and considering the area. I feel there another person is involved and is manipulating the teens.

But I agree with your assessment in regard to having FB pages starting at a very young age is concerning.

From your link, it says both girls were in the custody of CPS at the time they ran away in April.

The picture is becoming clearer in terms of why Skyla is running away. Maybe PB was reunified with family and Skyla wasn’t.

Interestingly enough it makes sense to a certain degree. I had a look on some FB groups that were posting PB missing page. Found PB parent post which confirms she has been found and is safe. Thanks for pointing that fact out as I missed it previously.

I think we can easily establish a timeline.

Timeline:

On 15th of Decemember 2023: Skylar Cheng was reported missing intially in which she vanished from Jonesborough, Tennessee. At that time authorities believed she may travel to Texas. At that time, she was aged 15 years old.

Unknown period 2025: Was located then placed under the custody of CPS.

On 15th of April 2025 : PB and Skylar Cheng ranaway from the custody of CPS and is considered a runaway Juvenile. Skyla have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as runaway Juveniles. Is considered missing from Kingsport. At this time Skylar is 17 year old.


On 5th of May 2025: PB is found and reunited to her family. Skylar Cheng is considered missing.

On 23rd of October 2025: The Kingsport Police Department is still searching for Skyla Cheng and seeking any information that could assist in locating her. A newletter was issued on that day.

On 31st of October 2025: Knoxville is the next city from Kingsport, which atleast an hour and half away. At 11:00 am Skyla Cheng fled the property of Lakeway Urgent Care on foot. She was last seen running north towards Cumberland Ave. (UT Campus) on foot. Last seen in Knockville, TN.

I still feel we are missing something but from the information gathered this is the best timeline we have for now.
