I wonder if the reason investigators found the texts was just because they were looking through her emails, etc, to locate her. In other words, we don't know yet if she was the one trying to let LE know what was going on in the house...

From all appearances it seems that SP did not want to be found so at this point I am inclined to believe that she did not contact law enforcement at all prior to her being located.

How about this: "Investigators Allege That Photos and Videos Found On The Missing Teen's Phone Documented The Rape"

And (in the Script): "While going through those records, investigators discovered that several photos and a video of Pruitt [committing the alleged crime against] the teen had been taken and sent to another individual."

A grown man can NOT 'have sex' with a 14 year old!
A 14 year old can NOT 'have sex' with a grown man!!
A "dad" can NOT 'have sex' with his child!!
Why is that so hard for them to understand?

The arrest affidavit for RP is even worse than the wording we have seen. I refuse to write out the explanation. This is quoted in many places. Here is just one: Latricia Thomas on Twitter

That someone wrote it out that way in the affidavit seems obscene. imo jmo

This makes it sound like she was the one who emailed or texted the photos and video. Did she?

Why would he be stupid enough to use his victim's phone for photos and videos? It never occurred to him that she would tell someone and show them eventually?

To be honest, I am shocked that he didn't make a run for it. Totally shocked. The way they spoke of her in the past tense, then when hear was truly happened- he's really brazen to stick around like that.

It is my opinion that agencies in the entire state of Tennessee need some serious retraining and education on the subject of victim sensitivity. Between the supposed language in this arrest affidavit and the DA in MCET's case stating she was found "unharmed" after her ordeal with a sleazeball rapist, my head is about to explode. MOO.

RP was abused as a child
RP taught Sunday school, was a God fearing man
RP was kindhearted and helpful
RP was generous
RP has/had medical issues in the past or is very sick now
RP regrets any harmed caused to his victim(s), praying for their well being and sincerely apologizes
RP claims S went after him
RP was a good provider
RP is working hard to become rehabilitated

I know that I saw one in a video marked Pruitt trucking but I’ve searched frantically for it and am not finding it. I believe the truck cab was white.

I am pretty sure they are stating what law enforcement wrote in their affidavits. So your beef would be with law enforcement not the media. The characterization by law enforcement may be because there was no force involved as shown in the video. It is quite possible that the situation is a bit different then you believe it to be. That said, it is still rape (though what class he was charged with has not been stated that I have seen) no matter what the circumstances were and he has been charged and will face prosecution for it.

IMO I keep trying to view this as SLP saving herself. That somehow she secretly recorded this evidence for her 'proof.

If, however, the 'additional charges' are related to RP taking, and distributing those files, this is going to be monster big in what RP was doing to this child.

Ugh. I hope no one tries to rehabilitate him, or is provided an opportunity to do so. Hopefully, he'll just plead guilty and go away. I do hope the video is clear enough to be 100% certain it's him, and there's no ambiguity there.

Just as an FYI . . . Below is the listing info on the property they moved to in TN. Interesting pricing / sales history on it . . . Sooooo they went from a three bedroom (kids shared rooms) home in GA to a four bedroom home in TN (SP had her own room). That must have picked up the pace of the abuse.

That's strange and annoying. The article refers to it as a "consensual sex" and then in the next paragraph says that she can't consent. WTF?

I asked my state trooper friend his opinion. He said in arrest warrants they are supposed to use "unbiased" or accusatory language when describing the act that resulted in the charge. For example it might describe video or witness accounts of a person holding a gun to someone's head and pulling the trigger and causing their death, and thus they are charged with murder. We all know that's murder, but in the arrest warrant they can't say he put the gun to their head and murdered them. So the police described the act that resulted in the rape charge in the arrest warrant.

He went on to say that he too finds it disgusting that media is using "the having sex with" language because there is a charge of rape. He hates having to use that type of language in these kind of warrants and believe the media should be referring to it as what RP was charged with, alleged rape.

I hope that made sense. He explained it much better than I.
