Listen to the statement by Sgt. John Allen, about 1 1/2 minutes into the video. LE knows that Caylee is dead. The "Caylee is alive" supporters choose to ignore that statement by trying to claim that the word "indicate" somehow means that he is saying that they're not really sure if there was a body in the trunk or if it was Caylee, but any rational person can tell that he's saying that Caylee is dead.
From dictionary.com:
in·di·cate
–verb (used with object), -cat·ed, -cat·ing. 1.
to be a sign of; betoken; evidence; show: His hesitation really indicates his doubt about the venture.
2.
to point out or point to; direct attention to: to indicate a place on a map.
3.
to show, as by measuring or recording; make known: The thermometer indicates air temperature.
4.
to state or express, esp. briefly or in a general way; signal: He indicated his disapproval but did not go into detail.
5. Medicine/Medical. a. (of symptoms)
to point out (a particular remedy, treatment, etc.) as suitable or necessary.
b.
to show the presence of (a condition, infection, etc.).
So the forensic evidence LE has "is a sign of" Caylee's body being in the trunk. It is "evidence" of Caylee's body being in the trunk. It "shows the presence of" Caylee's body being in the trunk. The word "indicate" does not mean there is room for doubt, like some people choose to pretend that it does. It just baffles me that law enforcement can state flat out that Caylee is not alive, and people just choose not to believe it.
We can argue hair banding and DNA and sniff tests all day, but the fact is that LE knows Caylee is dead. The evidence THEY have makes them believe she is dead. But sure, go ahead and make-believe that Caylee is in Puerto Rico, if it makes you feel better.
