i totally hear what people (here and on TV) are saying that katie married him...she should have known what she was getting into....but there is something people need to grasp about cults........you NEVER know what fully lies behind the curtain until its too late or you are very far in.....

i speak from a very very unfortunate experience thanks to being brought up in the church and my father taking on a position with a group that ended up being a sick perverted dangerous cult. luckily we got out after a year 1/2 of..................mass amounts of sh.t

scientologists are told not to believe all those lies about them that can be found online....im pretty sure tommy the creepy used car salesman sold her a lemon disguised as a new caddy and as time went on, truth began to reveal itself.....

watching america live w/ megyn kelly...her and the 2 attorney guests are saying that in order for her to get sole custody, she has to show some serious proof that puts suri in some kind of danger (abuse, etc) in order to get that sole custody.....and who the hell knows what kind of strings scientologist uppers have on our legal system.....

cults and worse, cults with money, are a nasty nasty thing to ever encounter.....

Katie Holmes Fires Security Team They're Too Close to Tom

Katie Holmes has fired her old security team because they were way too close to Tom Cruise ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the actress tell us, Katie let the old team go after filing for divorce last week -- because of their allegiance to Tom. It's unclear if the duo were Scientologists.

A family friend said: 'Tom basically treats Suri as a little adult, however Katie treats her like a six-year-old child, and that causes major clashes. The couple were arguing over Suri.'

The source added to Radar: 'Katie did not want Tom making all the decisions in Suri's life, and that's what was going on.

so wish katie had the courage to spill the beans...however, she probably signed some hush hush document way back when Maverick or was it Joel that wooooed her? :/

My thoughts:

It's interesting that Katie's dad is not just an attorney but is a divorce attorney. I wouldn't be surprised to find that her dad has directed this event for a while now.

She fired her security staff and now her publicist...dropping baggage right and left.

Already owns an apartment in the state of New York and the first to file for divorce...in New York. This gives her maximum control of the situation.

PS. I think paternity issues will be resolved by how much fight Tom puts up for Suri. One thing's for sure, if she is not Tom's child then Katie holds the cards and the secrets because all she's got to do is whip out a DNA test.

I knew of some of the things that has been said about Scientology but did a search for Sea Org and came across a link for a site for Ex-Scientology Kids. To read the stories is heart breaking. To know what those kids have gone through, unimaginable. Thank goodness that Katie has finally decided enough is enough and is getting out, taking Suri with her. I hope that this will finally shine a huge spotlight on what exactly this "religion" is and what it's members do and believe. I hope and pray that Katie is successful in keeping Suri out of their clutches.

You know that is what i thought , then iirc she had hired some ppl for security and was thinking maybe dude w/camera is her guy. Idk but w/that being said & hearing about scientologist (sp) i think it was a smart move on her part. Does anyone if TC is a US citizen?

I always knew they wouldn't last but I hate that Katie had to go this road at all. I love her as an actress and I miss seeing her in movies. Now that she will be out from under his thumb perhaps she will go back to movies and being happy.

I have always thought the same thing and I do not know why.

To me Cruise is a little off.

TC would be smart to just settle out of court and give Katie everything she wants regarding Suri. If he fights it then she can bring in all of the stuff about SeaOrg, and that would really, really hurt Scientology publicly and get the average American on her side. I can see CNN, Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS and any other news organizations doing pieces on SeaOrg. I don't think that's publicity Scientology needs. They are already thought of negatively.

I think she might of thought it would help her career, his power in Hollywood type thing, plus I'm sure there was plenty of money. All other wives have since had bio children after divorcing him. I say DNA test
