Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Are Divorcing

There are two Scientologys that exist. One is for the high rollers who are famous people with a lot of dough to give and then another, secret, one for the lower classes. If somebody watches the two long videos I posted you'll get a good understanding of them.

Some Scientologists have been forced to clean dumpsters with a toothbrush for transgressing the unwritten laws. I'm fairly certain that none of the high profile Hollywood Sceintologists were never asked to do that. Also, Tom doesn't work 100 hour weeks for about $.36 an hour. Yes you read that right, about thirty six cents an hour. The church deliberately keeps these people poor so they can't leave. IIRC, one former Scientologist interviewed in one of the documentaries said he was paid a total of about $24,000 over 15 years service.

JMO, but I think psychopaths will do very well in this type of environment. I think David Miscavige is a psychopath.

BBM and you and me both Dan. Miscavige scares the sh... out of me.

He isn't the only one. He has plenty of help, people that apparently believe just like him. I noticed one individual that was very important in both of the long videos that Steely posted. Apparently this person has a direct line to Miscavige. Lots of higher ups there that scare the ***** out of me and IMO should scare the ***** out of any normal thinking person.

But it was his unwavering commitment to following the Scientology doctrine which sowed the seed of discontent according to family and friends.

Under the doctrine a child can make his or her own decisions and Tom treated his daughter 'like a little adult'.

A family friend said: 'Tom basically treats Suri as a little adult, however Katie treats her like a six-year-old child, and that causes major clashes. The couple were arguing over Suri.'

The source added to Radar: 'Katie did not want Tom making all the decisions in Suri's life, and that's what was going on.

'She decided it was high time she started deciding on what was best for her daughter, or at least having an equal say, and she knew that would be impossible if she remained Mrs. Tom Cruise.'

bolded by me.

I can't even imagine how torn apart Suri must feel about all this. She knows they are arguing about her. It must be gut-wrenching.

TC is so nuts.

One of the most interesting things in those videos is when the BBC guy says on his first documentary that he believed he was being followed and in the one I linked (the latest one) the same guy (who's now left the church) that told him that he wasn't being followed in the first one tells him that he definitely was being followed then, and that he was the one who set it up. They also show how Scientologists come out and video him without talking to him at all.

I also liked how Scientologists are trained on how to get people angry and make scenes.

And this is one of the reasons why Kathy Griffin has gone off and done her show on this "religion" and Tom Cruise. When Tom spoke out against Brooke Shields and her post-partum depression he made an enemy out of those that consider Brooke a wonderful person and good friend........like Kathy.

It also amazes me that Tom claims he "knows" about this subject. He "knows" more than Matt. He "knows" more than everyone else. Where did he learn about this subject? From Scientology. The "religion" that is based on the writings of a science fiction novel author. You really can't make this stuff up, it's unbelievable.

ETA: Steely, I did watch those long videos that you posted. It was time consuming but worth it. It really tells what Scientology is truly like for those that do not have the financial means to move further in the process without the SeaOrg and RPFs (I believe that is the correct "term"). To know that that is what Scientology is really about is sickening. I would love for more of the ones that have left to find somewhere PUBLIC to explain what really goes on. I would love for this to be exposed for everyone to see instead of being covered up. Sadly I feel that will not happen as long as there are powerful people that back and support this "church". I have also read accounts from Ex-Kids that have broken my heart.

I sent an email to the Dateline address we have here and suggested that they do a piece on Seagorg.

plenty of cults like that to go around - disguised as normal churches. no, not saying all churches....but there are plenty of cults out there screwing their people in various ways and outwardly look on all accounts as a normal church you see on every corner in america.....

:goodpost:

I think Scientology is the biggest and among the worst. That's why I find them so disgusting.

My question is this-What is this going to do Tom's membership in this so called church-from what I read they don't like this kind of publicity & it looks like Kate is going to bring this church on more than Nicole did.I have been reading a lot about this church the past couple of days-its mind boggling how so many intelligent people fall for this BS!!

I wish Katie the best of luck with this divorce but I'm getting very bad vibes. TC is a crazy man and his church has alot of power. I just hope nothing "happens" to Katie and that she can move on with her life and raise Suri like a normal little girl should be raised.

It is mind boggling to us b/c we had to find our own way. For some, meaning the not wealthy in this bunch, it was a helping hand in finding any way. Some people cannot go it alone.

For the wealthy stars is it for the $$$ involved, the security of the "team", and back around the bend to finding their own way. I truly believe they never did.

It all sounds kind of like a "new age mafia" when you add in the wealthy stars, does it not?

I hear you 4Jacy... something really creepy is brewing. For good or bad though, Katy and Suri are way too visible. Meaning if ANYTHING happens to either of them, it won't be buried somewhere in Podunk, WA. We will know.

It is truly scary.

That's why a former Scientologist wrote a piece about letting Katie get what she wants outside of court. If it goes to court Scientology will have to prove a lot of things they can't or don't want to.

Yes!

Here's a documentary about corruption with Scientology in the French government. It's narrated in English but a lot of French people speak and it's captioned. You'll have to pay attention to the screen a lot.

I wrote that before watching the whole thing. I'd like to add they go into corruption in the U.S. and how Germany handles Scientology as well.

Does anyone know how many copies of his book sold-Hubbard's

Maria Bamford does a great piece on cults. This was put to Japanese anime which kinda sucks but it's still really funny.

I can't remember much press about Tom and Mimi, however, I really noticed with Nicole and Katie that these women became someone else, in the outwardly sense, once they hooked up with Tom. They both seemed to lose their happy go lucky nature. I think Tom grooms women in their appearance to be what he considers regal and sophisticated instead of letting them have their own style. He stripped away their personality.

It's very Stepford Wives "ish". Nicole and Katie almost seem robotic. It was always very noticeable, how controlled these women are around him and how they just barely smile and pose for pictures, camera left, camera right with his arm around their waist.

IMO, TC needs to get over himself before a marriage will work for him.

Just IMO :moo:

Here's one article that I found about Mimi and Tom..........

I beg to differ. The child not being Tom's will destroy his credibility with the NY judges. She is gonna get the sympathy vote IMO.

But I think I wasn't clear with my earlier comment. I'm not speaking of whether Tome is the legal father. I'm speaking of why Tom would have wanted the world to see Suri as his if she isn't. It would depend on how much Tom wants the public to know as to Katie holding all the cards. My bet is he wouldn't want the public to know he didn't father Suri. Therefore, my opinion that Katie would hold all the cards.

Sympathy vote? Are you kidding me? Are you saying that if a man is listed as a father, acts as a father, supports the child for years-but if his wife were to come out during the divorce and claim he was not a father-she would be the one getting sympathy vote? And it would be his credibility destroyed, not hers? I personally think this is the moot point because I feel positive he is the bio father, but I do not understand why people think that way.

Scientology from inside out
Quill magazine, Volume 81, Number 9, Nov/Dec 1993
By Robert Vaughn Young

THEY SAY THE first step in any recovery program is the admission, so here it is: I handled public relations (PR) and the media for L. Ron Hubbard and his Scientology empire for 20 years.

It is no accident that I avoid saying "Church of Scientology" -- the trademarked corporate name. The Scientology world is much larger than merely the "Church" of Scientology (see sidebar "Secular,"). It is a labyrinth of corporate shells that, like a hall of mirrors, was designed to baffle all but the initiated. Add to that an arcane language and dedicated "PRs" trained to divert and control inquiries, and it becomes obvious why few outsiders have been able to comprehend the Scientology hydra, let alone write about it. I hope this will make it easier.

From 1969 to 1989, I worked at every echelon of the organization, from a small, new "mission" up to national and then international level, including handling media in other countries and working at Hubbard's personal literary agency. During my tenure, I handled reporters from high school papers and from The New York Times. I have appeared as a Scientology spokesman on radio talk shows and national TV news, as well as in magazines, books, and even a documentary film. I was a member of the Guardian's Office, the pseudo-naval Sea Organization, and the glitzy Author Services Inc., Hubbard's literary agency in downtown Hollywood....

Thank you to Torismom for the article on Tom and Mimi and thank you everyone for the great posts.

My screen is too wide to see the quote and thanks buttons.

TC even looks uncomfortable acting out love scenes in his movies. IMO, he is not that hunky. Watching him kiss in movies or his wives, he is very awkward.

imo
