Wanna know what really disturbs me?? When JA is describing TA being attacked by the ninjas and she says, "Travis was screaming...(then she pauses to talk about herself being knocked out by her dad once)...and he was holding his head." She tells how he was down on his hands & knees on the bathroom floor and begging for help and she says to him, "are you ok? what's goin' on? what's goin' on?"

here's clip 5:53:22 http://youtu.be/zCxFA-LPSmc?t=2h53m22s

WTF????????? Really, Jodi? REALLY?????? He's just started to die a brutal and heinous death!! THAT'S WHAT'S GOIN ON???? Grrrrrrrrrrr.

SIDE NOTE: A little earlier in this clip JA says TA had been cleaning that day and she couldn't sit in the couch like she usually did bc he'd move furniture to clean. He was probably starting to clean so she'd leave!!

Must have missed something...
Was Gus questioned When he gave JA the new phone?
I also am curious who the male was with JA at rental car office, seems the owner may not have payed too much attn to the male as much as JA and no doubt JA turned on her charm.
You would think they could have found that rental car and did forensics on it, believe blood can be traced in fiber even if attempted to clean it correct?

Does anyone else think the prosecution did not continue the investigation in these areas once JA confessed? that's the sense I got..

Jodi has never confessed to anyone other than her lawyers.

No need to do any tests or recover the car. She killed him, she rented the car, any blood would belong to Travis or her.

What would be the point?

I think she probably cleaned the floor of any blood and cleaned the banister.

Yeah, she's a really poor liar.

When I watch the video clips of the detective interviewing her, I am shocked by how calm he is with Jodi. Jodi spews lie after lie and the detective calmly says, "Jodi, I don't believe you." If I am ever taken hostage (most likely by my inlaw whom I just described), please call that detective to be the calm hostage negotiator. lol

Please do not make fun of the Morman religion. It was close to the heart of Travis.
Or any religion for that matter.

Thanks, but the question I had was about the strong tendency to be in denial and if it relates to BPD or something else?

Sorry. No clue

Listening to her lie makes my blood run cold. Does anyone remember the photo of Ted Bundy in court when he lost his temper and finally looked like the evil man he was? I have this horrible vision of the last thing Travis ever saw being that look on Jodi's face. The stuff of nightmares.

Imo, it's only scary if you're worried about what you're saying on the phone. I'm not worried about any recording of my phone conversations. If I want it totally private, it's face to face. Even then, if the person you're talking to isn't "trustworthy," you're all out there. The best solution is, imo, to be the best person you can be all the time in all dealings. No worries...and if someone catches you being an ahole, who's fault is that?

I'm not talking about being an ahole. It's scary for all sorts of reasons!! We had a client who had taped 100s of hours of calls from his golf pro to co-workers, neighbors and people from church, etc, etc. I got the daunting task to listen to all of them and pick out what was relevant for our lawsuit -- some people talked about very personal things from health issues to financial problems to family drama, etc and to this day they have no clue I heard it all!!! I felt like I was invading their privacy!!

The good news (if there is any) is that it doesn't matter what diagnosis WS Armchair Psychs1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 come up with. This woman broke the law and committed first degree murder and immediately got caught and she will never have the opportunity to hurt another innocent person again. She will be in prison for at least the next few decades, at a minimum. We'll all be well into old or very old age by the time she ever is considered for parole and that's the very best outcome she will get (IMO). She'll likely be in prison the rest of her life and her only way out will be in a pine box.

So all this worry about figuring out her particular brand of psychological craziness is a moot point when you consider that she will never be a threat to any of us or anyone else in the free world again. I realize that doesn't give everyone comfort because if there can't be torture and dismembering involved then it isn't really an adequate sentence to some, but there's good news there too--moving to Pakistan or Afghanistan will net you all the torture and mayhem you could possibly want, so while the U.S. won't give you that outcome, there are places that will only be too happy to indulge.

And while some see Arias as the "worst of the worst" we still have previous contenders such as Diane Downs, Susan Smith, various school mass murderers, to name just a few, who are loathe to give up their "worst ever" crown.

I still maintain that there was some kind of weird attraction because TA was not that fancy. The house is not that big if a deal. He had roommates.

She saw real wealth in Monterey. She could have had some really rich guy very easily.

I have seen it over and over again myself with well to do men and younger sexy women. No problem. Vacations , jet setting all over the world , going to multiple homes. Fabulous gifts of jewelry…"

First of all, to precede what you are saying here, I think Travis was mentally still in college, per se. He never went, but was a HUGE fan of BYU. He wore BYU hats & shirts all of the time, and I bet it was a massively unfulfilled dream that he never went to college.

He was a young man, with loads of good friends, and people who were really drawn to him and loved him. He was in a Ward of friends and peers 18 (or 19?) to 31. Most of these people he was surrounded by probably went to college or were still studying, and in that mentality too. He was at least in part, IMO, living life socially as a college age type with all the parties and get togethers, with roommates… A highly social lifestyle.

I think in looking from his background he had accomplished a lot, and saw himself in that light. He seemed like he had his hands in a lot of ventures at the time he died. I remember a Mormon clothing line in the works.

I think Jodi saw him as someone who was going somewhere more so than what he had already built for himself. I think he had extravagant life dreams and plans for himself, and probably was not shy in relaying that (IMO).

I think Jodi wanted what he had beyond wealth and aspirations: his lifestyle.

IMO, I don't think he would ever have married her even if they had never had any kind of sex. He would (as his friends 'felt' about her) have eventually seen beyond the shallow ploys a sociopath fronts themselves with.

Sadly, being sexually immature (IMO) because of his beliefs, yet a normal & healthy hormonally raging young man he took her sexual bait, and she used it until it was the only tie left, and then it wasn't……..

All IMO… I usually never write out speculative scenarios, even as basic as this is, but it just came out anyway.

All very true. Does this mean we have to go back to discussing eyeball pixels images and which weapon was used first? Cause in the grand scheme of things...none of it really matters...but to us. IMO.

Just curious, which piece did she take?

Well I recall her getting pulled over with a bag of his intestines in the front seat, so I'm pretty sure it was his liver and something else - now that I can't recall for sure I'm going to try and google it ;)

this is the only thing i have found so far
Jodi Arias Trial Day 1 (Audio Only) - YouTube

I don't know if anyone caught this, but she had the gun & knife in her purse when in the bathroom.
In the opening statement he is desribing the attack of the intruders & says that Jody said the guy went through her purse. They were all in the bathroom during this. Does she even explain how the blood got in the hall during this attack?
I'll be darned! Travis thought she left that day. She was dressed with her shoes on & her purse in hand in that bathroom, which means to me that she came in from the outside.

Soooooo....we can ship Jodi off to a Pakistani gulag? Cool!
