Trial date set for Sidney and Tammy Moorer #1

I'm curious. Do both sides of a case use social media to get their spin out, like posting on social media? Or are the prosecutions hands tied on that? Assuming of course that they would use social media for that purpose.

They who? According to TMs attorney she is looking forward to the trial. And we know defense teams never lie!

And we know the prosecution has never been known to embellish nor do they ever make mistakes.

I plan to keep an open mind to what both sides have to say.

Judge Markley Dennis

He attended Berkeley County public schools in Moncks Corner

Judge Dennis returned to Moncks Corner upon his graduation from law school to practice law with his father; his uncle, Rembert C. Dennis; and his friend Butch Watson, a longtime friend and law school classmate. While practicing law, he remained very involved with his community.

Sidney went to Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner from 1991-1995. One of his buddies from school was Chad Wolf of Carolina Liar.

Moncks Corner is a town in and the county seat of Berkeley County, South Carolina, United States.[4] The population was 7,885 at the 2010 census

I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone or knows about them or knows a relative. I find it hard to believe that the judge has had no contact with the Moorer family if he grew up, lived and practiced law in the same small town as Sidney's family. Seems like a conflict of interest to me.

It's like you are inside of my head! I was just talking to my mom about this today.

What makes it so worrisome is his attitude during the bond hearing. As professional courtesy to the original judge who set no bond, he should have toned down his remarks.

Thanks so much
YW:) To subscribe to a thread, you either need to post in it, or go to Thread Tools (which is at the top of every thread), click it to bring up the drop down, and then click Subscribe to the Thread. Once that is done, you can go to Quicklinks at the top of every page or Quick Navigation at the bottom of every page, click on either, and a menu will come up that will give you the option to click on so you can get your subscribed threads.

Hope that is clear--let me know if it doesn't work and I will figure out what I told you wrong:)

How can they be living at the 'compound'? I thought it was too close to the Elvis residence?

Hope I this is ok to report but a certain fundraiser account is no longer found.

That's fine, bestill. Now let's just leave it at that, folks.

Thanks.

Distance from M's to E's is 4.0 miles!

Update: I guess depending on which route you take. Getting 4.7 miles now actually.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Sorry for any typos!

I would imagine an exception is allowed in which the defendants can live in their home at the compound if they are closer to the Elvis' house than 5 mi "as the crow flies."

How do we know that?

Google maps actually calculates 4.7 miles now that I look at direct route.

*distance to onramp actually accounts for extra distance. Now, if you were to take a helicopter...

Thanks for checking that. I was surprised to hear 7-8 miles as the crow flies. Not sure why it would be agreed to by both parties though if it wasn't accurate, and yet, I thought it was much less than 7-8 miles.

Hoppy, do you remember seeing the video of the black truck at the bond hearing you went to? I read an article that said it was shown.

Vaguely. Had to think about it for a minute - but my mind remembers seeing a video (I remember seeing a building in it - maybe a CVS or something like that - and trying to think of where exactly that was). I'm almost 100% positive - and what I remember was a truck - not a blob.

Edited to add: I'm gonna try and look through ALL the photos I took that day. I know I didn't upload all of them - and maybe just maybe I caught a photo of it....

It's much closer if you go by water, not that it matters.

Are we sure that's their residence? Wasn't there some question about property they owned and that they USED to live down near there? I have no idea - so just wondering. :)

Yes. They no longer own that property (on Peachtree Rd.).
