But for the fact she's defending a murderer, it's hard to dislike Willmott. She reminds me of a grown up Pebbles Flintstone. Now, who can hate her?

This Doc-clown is not likeable. He's non-believable and his intonation is just very creepy. Put it this way, I wouldn't let my kids trick-or-treat at his house. He comes off dishonest and even perverted for some reason. Yuk!

Me! Grown up women, professional women, don't need to act like Pebbles Flintstone. She acts like the hair-tossing spoiled brat that Alicia Silverstone played on Clueless. "OH! AS IF!" It is very unbecoming and the "cutesy" thing doesn't work for me AT ALL.

I would say that she reminds me Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, but at least she had a few "ah ha!" moments and managed to connect the dots...

Sound is off but video is rolling...wish I could read the Judge's lips!

Looks like a scolding by the Judge to DT. Haven't seen the judge this animated the entire trial.

I'm seriously thinking JA is this..

Schizotypal Personality Disorder (STPD) - The DSM Criteria

The American Psychiatric Association is publishing a 5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-V) in 2013. The DSM defines standard criteria for diagnosing mental health conditions and is used by clinicians in the USA and beyond. The 5th edition DSM-V differs significantly from the previous editions (DSM-IV and DSM-IV-TR) in the way Personality Disorders are defined. For clarity, we have listed both the new DSM-V and the older DSM-IV definition for each personality disorder.

I'm much better versed with aspd and npd. To me, she'd be lacking the necessary requirement of anxiety in social situations. I haven't seen much evidence of that. And she very closely fits many knowns of Cluster B disorders but...

I am fully convinced she's a psychopath regardless of what her particular diagnosis actually is. She could easily be schizotypal and psychopathic...or borderline and psychopathic...or any makeup of several disorders.

They are discussing court schedules.

Michael Kiefer @michaelbkieferSamuels tried to ask a question of the judge and she told him he can't talk to her directly. That white noise machine is going to overheat!

Were Jodi to be acquitted it wouldn't be because of Samuels. The only "positive" thing I guess that could be said is that initially he seemed (while still totally oily to me) more affable and not too cold and clinical as many expert witnesses can be (frankly this doesn't bother me, I like scientific but "relationships" and "comfort" can matter with jurors). That said, he has ZERO credibility. He doesn't take his own record keeping seriously or being current in his profession for goodness sake and his relationship with Jodi is dubious even with the most ardent supporter. I find the psychology side interesting though honestly can't wait for a rebuttal witness to this issue.

This is too weird. Watching the live feed, judge talks out loud for a moment, the a figure runs across the screen really fast, and an audible blip.
Did anyone else get that, or am I loosing it?

She's not even mildly remorseful for brutally butchering Travis though.

In chapter 8, "The Justice Trap," the author writes bluntly about the fact that injustice is committed every day and that if one has enough money one can get away with it. Poor people will rot in jail, while rich people get a slap on the wrist for the same crime. It is not an "erroneous zone" (self-defeating behavior) to notice the injustices of this world; the erroneous zone is the belief that becoming incapacitated with anger, guilt, worry, or indignation, by the injustices will change anything. Many heroic people try to change the injustices, and they are to be commended. But they often fail because they are against impossible odds. Year after year, century after century, the privileged few get away with what the rest of us do not. Is it fair? No! Should we convince ourselves that it is okay? No! Should we fool ourselves into believing incapacitating ourselves with worry and anger is going to change anything? No, again. If you can do something to end an injustice, then do it. If you can't, don't feel guilty. The good doctor sent this to Arias, imagine how she spun this into her web of deceit to get herself off for murder.

So, after JW comes the jury questions, then JM & JW take another crack before Doc Samuels is released to go do the talk show circuit, right?

How did Juan end his cross, I think the fog rolled in and I don't 'member it.

He ended it by asking the doctor about his final report. There were a few errors in his final report, which he submitted an addendum in Dec '12. Juan asked him how much he was paid. He said $250 an hour.

Anyway, that's kind of how it went. Perhaps a bit more dramatic. LOL

JMHO
fran

PS... fwiw, the few errors in the report were that she didn't meet enough criteria under two of the sections, so he reviewed his records and found more.
