I dont know if a high score is bad or not....

but her Narcissictic and Antisocial scores are HIGH!
as well as Compulsive and Negativistic.....

Interesting. Anyone know what the high score means?

The witness testified that a score of 75 or greater indicates a "strong trait" when assessed in conjunction with other diagnostic criteria (from interviews, etc.). So her anxiety disorder score is really the one that meets the threshold for a bona fide disorder, if I understood him correctly.

But of course, being arrested for 1d murder and incarcerated would cause anxiety for just about everyone I would assume!

I am sure the jury was laughing to themselves after Dr. Baloney said she was not assertive. They watched her lie on the stand for 18 days.

Especially if you lie quite a bit. Her whole life at that point was figuring out the next lie to make it seem like she was the victim. I would have anxiety too if I was charged with 1d murder and had to remember all the lies I told.

GOOD MORNING ALL! I think I have just about hit a wall on this trial...I can only imagine how the jury feels. It's far too long and drawn out. I think I just might keep track of it here, and wait for the rebuttal case....sigh.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Judge Surewhatever

I read on Juan's support page over on FB that the Judge is awfully busy and stretched thin. She has to handle many other cases as well as this one. She is constantly listening to other lawyers and making rulings on other cases even before she gets to this one everyday. So I'm going to cut her some slack.

Although I think she makes crappy rulings sometime and it may be because she is just so tried and numb from working before, during, and after JAs trial ends each day.

IMO

Samuels also said Jodi was not assertive. Assertiveness is a behavior pattern. Wouldn't constantly making trips from California to Mesa be a form of asserting herself. She did not have to go, ever. And wouldn't such a long trip through the desert on more than one occasion during her road trip show that she had no fear and be a sign she was assertive in her behavior. Meek women usually do not sleep in cars or stop in deserted spots in the desert. Wouldn't we also describe Jodi running up to Crater Lake to confront MM's girlfriend as being assertive????? He certainly did not do any background work on her, just took her word. And just the mere "rolling of her eyes" shows she is quite capable of asserting herself. She did not like that remark from the doctor that she could not assert herself. Also, moving out of her home to live with a bf is a sign she could assert herself when she wanted something. lol

Bingo LambChop - Ms. Arias is no shrinking violet. JMO this points out the major problem with shrinks who do evaluations for court cases - they seem to think they can talk a bit and form an opinion from which they then select tests to suit their opinion. Instead of reading her bs journals, the loon should have looked at her reality. Lot of time wasted on rose colored glass journals that are meaningless. Then again, talking to her is meaningless with all the lies she spits out.

I have to admit Doc Samuels was entertaining in a way. I was :floorlaugh: when he talked about interviewing her, taking notes so she wouldn't know or see him doing it. I would like to see that one.

And, of course, it's self reporting by the test taker. Reporting symptoms you don't have and denying the ones you do? Easy peasy. Especially for a sociopath (I know, I know, that word is going out of use, but it describes her perfectly) like Arias.

I did mean in the "Jodi Arias" case.

I absolutely do believe in PTSD! But not in Arias' case. It is an absolute insult to people who do suffer with it. I have been appalled that Soldiers (hero's) and Police Officers (hero's) being mentioned in the same breath with her name.

I most agree with you there (along with sexually/abused - assaulted individuals)!!! :rocker:

The psychology is ok it is the individual (Samuel) who is executing in court that is enough to make you run to the bathroom (suddenly).

As I have said a couple of times, and I will say it again, he is an embarrassment to those of us who were (in my case retired) and are reputable professionals in Mental Health who truly and ethically want to help those with dire problems.

Jody has problems (understatement) but not that can be treated by mental health at this point. (As I can tell in court which is super poor observation criteria) One can not evaluate properly someone who compulsively lies.
That is why I would not evaluate anyone on trial or in custody battles. They LIE!!! Period.

Once someone is found guilty and appeals are exhausted to come to full acceptance and ownership of their crime takes about 2 - 7 years depending on the violence level of the crime and criminal history.

If the person doesn't have a criminal history and has a one time violent crime of passion murder conviction, the acceptance/ownership takes longer.

For full clarification, full ownership means peeling the layers of defense mechanism to come to full accepting "they did it and they did by choice w/o and other defenses to cover it up emotionally, mentally, psychologically and spiritually."

HummmmI would bet that JM is onto the thefts via Flores and we're going to hear/see something about it. Haha, Maybe she will have to come to court in handcuffs.

A murderess and a thief. Boy, she really tries to push the envelope just to see what she can get away with, even on national television. She has no shame. I hope the court gets wind of it and calls her on it.

Can anyone explain how slitting someone's throat is self-defense? I've been thinking that there are really two lines of reasoning for premeditation. The first is the pre-planning before JA got to TA's house. But the second reason is because of the overkill. (Pardon the expression.)

Jodi is trying to mirror her atty! Dressing alike!
Thelma and Louise

They've been doing this since the trial started. It stopped, for awhile anyway, when Jodi got on the stand. I can't figure out what the purpose is. Jodi being her typical chameleon self? She admires the way Wilmott dresses? Some kind of defense strategy to make her look like part of the team or something? I would love to hear from somebody why they think she does it.

:seeya: Good morning peeps. Long wait for court today - it will be 4 p.m. here.

A couple of things that Samuels said yesterday:

1. "The trauma of killing would be greater in a woman with no history of violence".

Now we know why Arias said ' I've never killed before.'

2. Samuels observation that false stories are indicated by the same details being repeated almost verbatim, with the same verbage used.

Hmmm! Sound familiar?

No, no one can explain it, not even Ms. I-have-an-answer-for-everything Arias. Hence the fog.

I'm thinking I've reached a new high (or low, depending on how you look at it).... I'm already planning my day to be back home in time for the trial to start. I've been thinking of what I'll pick up for dinner on the way home so I don't miss a minute of the trial once it starts.... I caught myself looking at the clock the past few weeks while I'm working, calculating what time I'll be getting in the door.... I'm actually a little taken aback at myself at how I am so enmeshed in this trial. That being said, it is what it is. I don't think I'll be calling DrMrS for an insightful analysis of my status ;)

I feel the same way, not really sure why I am obsessed with it. I do know it's not every day we get to see a monster (sociopath) actually take the stand!
Also my only sibling is a younger brother in his 30's and my only child is a 12 yr. old son. I have seen my brother date a few crazies (nothing to the extent of Arias) and my son will be dating soon enough ......so I need to know the signs of a sociopath.

If you buy a corvette do you store it in a garage? No, you drive it.
Unfortunately, for them, the corvette they bought turned out to be an el camino.

My sister is a psych Phd and when she was in her doctorate program she would use me to practice her psych inventories and tests. I was always scared of what she would find (I'm no Jodi Arias, but it's still awkward for your sister to be all in your brain) so I would answer differently on some of the more uncomfortable ones.

She always knew...Most of the tests have a built in mechanism to tell when someone is trying to cheat them. Reading those tests is an art. I can imagine a) that Samuels doesn't have a clue and b) that Jodi was SO good at being a chameleon that she genuinely could cheat the tests. I felt the same way when the psych's said that Casey Anthony had nothing wrong with her...please.....

Hey...I loved my Gremlin. Until the dashboard caught on fire, it was a great little car. :floorlaugh:

Mine was the puke green version. And my PSA for the day: If your dashboard catches on fire while you are driving on I95..PULL OVER. Beating out the flames as you are driving does nothing but cause you to cough.

Not to mention all of the stab wounds in his back! How is someone who has their back to you a threat??

This will be her story if she appeals and gets a new trial, "the 4th story is the FINAL and TRUE story" LOL

The horror! The horror!

Imagine if you were on the jury and had to listen to her police interview tapes, tapes of her 18 days testimony of her first trial and then her new live testimony.

No mistrial please!

Did anyone notice Jodi's eyes when she took the pill yesterday? It was a look of irritation and "what-everrr" to me.

Also, this may be O/T and if it is, I apologize. But in the below clip, when Juan had put the photo of Travis on the autopsy table (the neck wound - NOT shown on video), just watch JA's expression. Even though TA's siblings cry out (it was a surprise they weren't expecting), and her attorneys objected (Nurmi even looked over at the family and did seem concerned for them), she has an almost gleeful look. Sort of a "holy crap I did THAT, woww" look (pleased with herself). Start watching around 1:31:10. It is only AFTER she sees others react, that she starts to do her pretend "shock and sadness." She is truly one sick, dangerous person.
