So far all of the votes have been 10 to 2. That makes me a little nervous here too. What id there are one or two Jodi supporters on the jury?

Maybe there are 10 that want to vote DP. Hopefully the remaining 2 will negotiate for LWOP. I have no problem with LWOP. :jail::jail::jail:

Try not to take anything from HLN seriously- it's a tv network that depends on controversy for ratings. If they had voted unanimously in favor of guilt, there's no show. No ratings, no point.

All that matters is what happens in real-time court. Judging by their 1st batch of questions that were dripping with skepticism and sarcasm, this jury isn't stupid. DP guaranteed? Don't know. JA supporters? No way.

Counting rooms in my home ... I have less to clean than you and I haven't even started ! Lol
I am too into this trial! I really need to clean.
(seriously... My son spilled a drop of tea on the kitchen floor a few hours ago and I just cleaned it up. It had collected a dog hair! I know gross....
I used to be OCD with cleaning... :waitasec:
Not sure where it went!

Well per the sex tape they "dated" for a couple hours... MOO

But the problem still remains---Jodi didn't really 'do' anything other than say 'hey that's my boyfriend, back off.' etc. We all know she was a psycho, but this particular incident does not really prove that.

So you can have it backfire if the jury thinks she was 'normal' in terms of what girls in their dating days do when at social events. I am sure many of us have drunkenly confronted another woman if we thought they were treading on our territory.

So if Juan brings this group of people forward and all they can really say is Jodi
yelled at her in the bathroom--kind of anti-climactic, imo.

Too bad they could not prove the slashed tires and emailed threats though. That would be important testimony. JMO

I do agree this is a moot point in the grand scheme of this trial, and I'm sure I'd have the nerve to drunkenly confront someone I thought was crossing the line with my boyfriend but JA wasn't drunk and she is supposed to be, per her psychologist, a chronic pacifist with low self esteem incapable of sticking up for herself... She didn't have liquid courage working for her then and the confrontation was the next day so really a normal person would probably talk it out with their boyfriend and get over it (especially because the incident, even when described by JA was not a big deal, imo). It could serve to show a few things about JA but in the end it's not really anything revolutionary... She was jealous and confrontational, I think that's clear! :)
MOO!

I've heard five months!! What do I know
I'm confoosed:floorlaugh:

Five months is correct, yes. I was just commenting on how short a time it was from the initial meeting to TA's murder.

I don't have a problem with JW. I think she is very compassionate to Jodi. Giving Jodi more attention than she deserves. I do feel sorry for them having to defend Jodi but someone has to do it. I just do not always agree with their tactics. To me, a defense attorney should tell their client they have limitations as to how far they will go. I think this defense has crossed that line a couple times too many. jmo

Her little slip up today, "Jodi claimed, I mean said it was self defense" shows that she doesn't believe her any more then we do. Only a fool would. She is doing her job. I don't see any passion from her, or Nurmi, in their defense of her. It is clear, at least to me, that it is distasteful to them to have to defend her but I am sure they believe that everyone, even someone as soul less as JA, deserves the best defense they can get.

True and her vanity! And pride would be threatened! If she gained weight as a result of pregnancy.

And she'd be competing with a baby for Travis's attention. She wouldn't of let that happen.

And that is exactly how it is still done today....I am no chemist but this I know, lol.
ETA: It has a name now other than sawdust but similar stuff.

Kitty litter? I use pine pellets for the litterbox. It's extremely absorbent and turns powdery with use.

I want that underwear! He has a super dreamy voice and isn't bad on the eyes. But I digress.

I want the "Property of Juan Martinez" matching set.

O/T - have you tried Maxalt? I have tried everything under the sun and this is the only thing that comes close to making them go away. Sorry for your suffering. They are brutal! There is no way in HELLO JA had a true Migraine if she was sitting in court. Aspirin, Advil and Motrin do not work on real migraines, she is lying.
Not that I'm cutting Jodi slack, but actually Excedrin does work on "true Migraines". I know. I get them to the point of nausea and barfing if I don't take it within 20 min. of onset. At that point, I don't get relief unless I barf. Happened a couple of weeks ago, a really bad one that lasted about 4 hours. I also have light and noise sensitivity to the point where it feels like my head is exploding. I consider it a true migraine, even though I don't get auras.

I get where you're coming from but it's all there in the phone sex tape, not just fantasy talk but talk about what they had done.

I am going to have to go back at some point and listen to the whole phone sex tape...only parts I have heard were describing what he would "like to do" or "would do" to her and her excited reaction

I agree with you. The only reason Casey Anthony had Caylee is because Cindy wouldn't have let her have an abortion. (Not that she needed her consent as an adult). Caylee was never a wanted child by Casey, only for the attention it brought her.

Except she hid it from Cindy for 7 months .. I think Casey would have had Caylee secretly and smothered her at birth, but her mother interrupted her intention which basically just delayed the process by three years.

Maybe unwanted babymaking is why Travis did it in her butt?

:
:floorlaugh:Trade ya houses. We really could use not having court one day a week to our advantage here.

Trading houses would be fine, but what about the weather. I can barely handle 40 degree weather for the few months we get it, I would have to live like a bear in the winter up there.

I believe that 2nd is another charge along with a couple of other charges. One of them should be for lying to L.E. I had a link but now it's not working. Try later gotta go enjoy the wonderful weather, and walk the dog.

Disposition Information
Party Name ARSCode Description Crime Date Disposition Code Disposition Date
Jodi Ann Arias 13-1105 (F1) MURDER 1ST DEGREE 6/4/2008

This is it nothing else YET.

Yeah, go back and listen, it's pretty solid.

I respectfully disagree. I find Wilmott reprehensible. Being a woman and an attorney, she has to know the damage she is potentially doing to women who are truly battered. If this killer is acquitted, future cases of self-defense in abuse cases will be suspect. I know she's defending her client who says she was abused, but the way she goes about it is, IMO, unprofessional. Her client is an admitted killer. Pretending she's a school girl whispering, smiling, and passing notes with her to look good to the jurors like "See, I'm not afraid of her.", it makes my stomach turn. Not only that, but her over acting is comical. Her indignation, scoffing, and foot stamping at Mr. M is absurd, and her self-satisfied smile when the killer minced words and played her sadistic little word games trying to trip him up was despicable. She's not the killer's cheerleader, she's her attorney.

The biggest difference I notice is the lack of media in Canadian trials. They still have to have the dude/dudette doing the courtroom sketches here. :) No photo/video allowed in the courtrooms here at all.

Ahh...sorry mods. Back on topic now

Yes,big difference,I followed the Tori Stafford case on Twitter, and on here, but because of the lack of cameras, the cases here in Canada don't become circus like,as they can in the US.I like the cameras, but do feel for the families when it turns into entertainment for channels like HLN.

Well, to me these little HLN juries are deciding on seperate factors, so a 10-2 isn't that concerning. What I'm hoping is that the real jury looks at everything collectively, including the aggravating factors. The things like the flowers, the voice mails, the lies about pedophilia, domestic abuse, PTSD, and the total manipulation of the system in a desperate attempt at self-preservation at the victim's expense.
