Willmott got all this information before the trial started. We shouldn't have to wait for her to read it NOW

Willmot is pissing me off with her stall tactics. I hope the jury feels the same way.

I smell a recess coming.

Objection! Sidebar taking too long....

Did you all see that, I think Jodi has hiccups....

...or post traumatic mini seizures.

What does Willie do in the evenings and during weekends? Give herself manicures and haircuts? Do your homework before court, woman. Sheesh.

I hope the jury is getting good and pizzed with all of these disruptive sidebars. They surely know who's to blame ;)

And they also have to wonder why the DT is wanting all this stuff left out. It looks like they are trying to cover up and hide things.

I think that!

Now I may have a better understanding of why mommy chuckles and treats this like a circus. Maybe she doesn't give a carp about Jodi anymore and is there, not in support of her, but to see her get the needle?

MOO

Mel

I don't think that. I don't begrudge Jodi's mom the support of her daughter (much like I didn't Cindy and George for loving and supporting Casey). She can still love and support Jodi but still believe that she needs to take responsibility for her actions and crime.

It's when you step over the line like Cindy and George did that I have issues with parental involvement in Court cases.

Wilmott wants to approach again. Doesn't want the tape played....I say play the tape.

of course the tape should be played since dr quack said something that isn't true and the tape refutes it--

This new little tidbit about Jodi hitting, kicking, and screaming at her mother goes a long way in explaining why her family wasn't surprised she'd be involved in TAs murder.

I can't imagine a "normal" child ever trying something like that with a parent. Most children have a healthy sense of fear and enough respect to know better.

I'm sure there's a lot more to the family dynamic we may never know.

Why are we sitting here watching JW read a document she could have read before?

Is this not the same document Wilmott painstakingly read through last week?

"According to my 35 years of experience and professional judgement this factor was met..."

Well, one logical fallacy is "Appeal to Authority", which is actually appeal to irrelevant and/or illegitimate authority, i.e., "based on my experience as an auto mechanic, your dog has fleas" sort of thing. Despite people misusing it, appealing to actual authorities isn't a bad thing, unless that they are supposedly authorities is the only criteria.

So, to cover all iterations, I will now propose a new fallacy

"Appeal to Totally Discredited Authority"

However, due to potential legal problems using Dr. Samuel's photo, the mascot for this new fallacy will be represented by a cat macro:

I would like to know who gets thrown into jail on a murder charge that dosen't have trouble reading or sleeping well.
Most people likely don't sleep for a week from just trying to think of how they are going to get their 🤬🤬🤬 out of the murder charge.
How the h can you use that as a PDST score.

Nurmi has glasses on.....why does he have to get that close to the page??

He may need bifocals and hasn't gotten them. I had horrible vision until I got LASIK, first thing I reached for when waking up was my glasses. I couldn't fee far away, but could read fine. If his vision is getting worse, his Rx might be too strong to allow him to read WITH them on.
