Great idea but I don't think so . Here's the closet photo and there's a blue shirt. I do believe however that she absolutely was well aware of all of Travis' photos. I wonder where he kept it , if it was at his house or on his computer etc. She must have seen it!

ht_closet_arias_kb_ss_130227_ssh.jpg

It looks like there are two pairs of shoes missing. Did we see them in any other photos?!? Just curious. Y'all may have discussed this already. I'm very new. :blushing:

I missed most of today so I cannot make comments about today's testimony. I don't understand your comment about people not having their faces in their pics. I don't understand your point. I am a newbie too and welcome to you.

Hi Kensie!! I just meant that I now understand why noone puts their profile picture on here...like I did. Im new but, I guess its so no one knows who you really are. So you dont feel like you get attacked if someone disagrees with you!! You didnt miss much today but, Juan did a great job of disregarding everything the Doc said...so it went well. A new witness took the stand for the defense but it was at the end of the day so we didnt learm much but about her except her qualifications. Tomorrow should be good!! Welcome

seguek9 - You might want to be careful making any comments about appearances tonight...

Just sayin'

lolz

Oh yeah....I almost forgot...

*burning virtual sage to cleanse room of bad thoughts*

Can we all just go back to being friends...please:please: we are all on the same team.

Eta: Mike brooks is still hot though.

I have always heard that expert witnesses usually cross each other out, since both sides usually have experts for the same thing.

I can't remember an expert from any trial I have ever watched that made a difference to me. They are paid experts to speak for their side.

At the end of the day, I believe the Jurors will go with the evidence not someone's opinion.

This is IMO...

Maybe one of our Attorneys can speak to that.

:floorlaugh:

I was wishing that I had that many pair of shoes in that condition. Definitely a dream closet.

What impressed me the most was how tidy his closet was. Totally incredible and clean organized person he was. It is so sad he is gone. When I see that picture, I get even madder at Jodi. :furious:

i don't think this dv expert will be all that helpful to the defense. like the last witness she is basing her opinion on what jodi told her and the same tired text, sex tape & emails. this dv expert talked about all her experience at church, police departments, battered women shelters ect. all the places people go for help. ja never went for help at all. jm will expose lies that ja told her and this witness too will go down in flames. jmo

BBM:

:rocker: Exactly ! It will be based on LIES from JA ...

And there is not one shred of evidence that JA was "abused" : no witnesses, no photos of injuries, no medical reports ... nothing !

:great: I cannot wait for Mr. Juan's cross of this witness ... it might be even BETTER than the last, if that's possible :great:

ALZ is in a tough position.

She's very busy with the schedule she describes and I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that SHE HAS NO IDEA that her career is on the line.

When my friend, a doctor, injured her neck in a car accident, she became an expert witness on drug interactions. She developed a reputation and word of mouth spread that she could be trusted to testify based on the POV of the side hiring her, pros or def, and it did not matter because she stuck to the science and the cases.

I worked for her as a paralegal and we skipped studies and cases which were not persuasive for her employer's side. Also, I can tell you for a fact that she did not care one whit what went on in a given trial before or after she got up to testify.

That's why I have a hunch that this highly-qualified woman does not really understand that her "I understand both sides" attitude is why she has been hired to explain why Jodi Arias fits the profile of an abuse victim. I'll bet she has NOT studied SM relationships and has NO INFORMATION about the case other than what the defense has given her in order to elicit the opinion they want.

Which means she will be blindsided by Juan the Machine. He will start with "Would it surprise you to know, that is, would it make a difference if you knew that------" Now she is in the crosshairs. Will she compromise her principles to continue to support Travis as an abuser and Arias as the victim? Or will she refuse to answer based on having insufficient information?

If she does the former, her career will be over. If she does the latter, then the prosecution will quickly give her the information she is needed, with their slant, and the defense will object (overruled) and the defense will have made a huge mistake.

Mark my words, Juan Martinez will switch their expert witness to testifying on behalf of the prosecution and he will do it so skillfully it will be like watching a master sculptor.

I've yet to see a single defense witness testimony that didn't end up looking much better for the prosecution than the defense. It's almost as if the defense never really checked the stories of their own witnesses and only asked them their own set of questions. Every single one of the parade of defense witnesses that they were trying to use as material to make Travis look abusive ended up doing the opposite with their own witnesses not only clairifying that he didn't raise his voice with Jodi in arguments they had he was never in any way physically abusive but that so many of these arguments were JODI being petty and bratty, like when the friend of Travis's (the really tall guy) that went with his little sister, Travis and Jodi on a trip testified that he took things out of Jodi's backpack to lighten her load (make-up and other ridiculous items no one would haul on their back to hike in the woods!) and she had a fit, or when she asked Travis to pull over so that she could take photos, and she has a fit when Travis as a joke started driving the car forward when she tried to get back in, etc.

And Gus just ended up looking like his own worst enemy in sparing with the prosecutor in the same exact way that Jodi did in order to try to not answer questions and was very argumentative.

It was to be his fifteen minutes, and it didn't turn out like he planned. How can one be so incompetent ,so lacking in ethics and boundaries. One who has no idea just how bad his actions?

He didn't take Jodi's talk of suicide serious and made the call that she'd be fine (in the interest of saving her from being de-humanized by being monitored) and not tell at least jail officials about them. He didn't call JW and tell her. What excuse would he of given if Jodi did try and succeed? keep his mouth shut and no one would know?

The good doctor didn't take JA's alleged talk of suicide seriously because he and Nurmi were the architects of the 'suicide excuse'. They had to come up with a way to refute the 48 Hours interview where she said "No jury will ever convict me because I am Innocent." And besides, a malignant narcissist will never take their own life. If she indeed sent her Grandma a letter outlining her suicide plans, it was a cruel thing to do. Sounds like she was putting her family on a guilt trip. Who knows, she could have been planning to flee to Mexico or somewhere and wanted everyone to think she had killed herself. Heck, her family could have been in on a scheme to help her escape! It's curious that her grandparents have never been in court...hmmm.

Just thought of something else: On July 15, 2008, when JA was arrested, she was packing up the rental car to drive to Monterey to see Matt McCartney. Is it possible that Matt was going to drive with her to Mexico in the rental car, drop her off somewhere, and then return the rental car for her? Just a thought...my imagination is going wild, lol!

I spend my days catching up on posts and my nights watching this trial!

I just can't get why it's a big deal that a juror supposedly yawned during JM's cross. So what? And this goes both ways. A juror could yawn during the Defense or State's part of the case and it proves nothing! I've yawned many times during JM's cross and I am in awe of him!

And I've said this before but I think it bears repeating that Arias is very much aware that she is being watched by a lot of people. I think she is purposely trying to make it appear as though she is bonding with a juror. She wants rumours flying about and for there to be chaos. She is desperate at this point.

I say we be calm and listen only to sincere and intelligent individuals like Katiecoolady. Until she tells us that there is a problem there is no problem! :)

I had an experience last night that made me think of Jodi. I cut three fingers with the lid of a can. Blood was everywhere. I grabbed a napkin right away but still found blood from the kitchen to the master bath. It was in the rug, on the tile in the kitchen and bathroom sink, on some doors. It took me hours to clean these small droplets. I don't think Jodi cleaned any blood up. I think she put the camera on the bed and forgot it was there and when she picked it all up, the camera got mixed in with the sheets, and stuff, in the washing machine. For my three little cuts it took about 5 hrs. to clean. I can't imagine trying to clean 29 stab wounds and a throat almost decapitated. Plus a shot to the face. I'm still finding spots of blood. I think she got the knife, gun her clothes and then left. Oh by the way did everyone hear she was originally invited to Cancun? My typing is slow right now because I only have one hand so bare with me.

I suspect she is doing this for "free".

Just a hunch...

I doubt it as she would have had to take time to do interviews and then write her expert opinion. Add to that ongoing correspondence with the DT, and an interview with the State. Then add testifying in court.

ALV wouldn't be donating her time. She is in private practice.

Look at the pic of Travis's closet. When JM showed it to Jodi she must have realized everything is in order. She said I remember putting my foot on the edge of the shelf. JM had not asked her. How would she remember putting her foot on the edge of the shelf 4 and half years later? She was in fear and running for her life. How would someone remember that 4 days later? There was never a gun in the closet.

:seeya: THANK YOU for this particular timeline ... it really helps narrow their "relationship," which was certainly very limited.

So during this time-frame, with the exception of the 5 months they were "together" :

- Jodi SLASHED Travis' tires ...
- Jodi SLASHED Travis' female friends tires ...
- Jodi HACKED INTO Travis' e-mails and HACKED whatever else she could get into ...
- Jodi continuously STALKED Travis ...
- Jodi would SPY and STALK Travis thru the windows of his house ...
- Jodi would SNEAK into the house thru his "doggy door"...
- Jodi would HIDE in his closet [per Travis' friends]

[I know there's more ... but YKWIM]

- Then Jodi PRE-MEDITATED Travis' MURDER !

Yet, Jodi is the one who has a "domestic violence" expert ? OFGS !

This is just bass-ackwards :furious:

Travis is the one who needed a "domestic violence" expert to get away from this psycho ... it's a shame he did not get a restraining order ...

JMO but this DV expert is going to be a WASTE ... a HUGE WASTE !

:moo:

The only Restraining Order that would have protected Travis would have been Jodi in handcuffs, foot restraints, a straight jacket and 30 lbs of duct tape!

I live in Georgia, and I did not know that redneck was a slur!

Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2

I think it's more like a slang term than a slur.

I was just reading over some of the tributes on Travis' legacy.com page. I wish I could have had the fortune to know him. Such a shame his life was cut short by "it"

I agree, double-Elle. Her CV, while longer & more detailed in some areas than it prolly needs to be IMHO, is very impressive. Sounds like she was a bit of a pioneer in DV (and if she was, then bless her brave heart) with regard to getting it out in the open and with a family-oriented approach. I'm sure her main concerns were with women as victims, but she also dealt with male victims as well.

And it doesn't sound like she eats, sleeps and lives on the expert witness stand. And that bothers me... WHY is she getting up there for JA and the defense? Why this case? Certainly, the money will be good, but is there something about this case that made her want to go to bat for JA?

Is she going to highlight verbal abuse? Will she try to tie in some other disorder that she feels JA has that would make her more susceptible to DV, or to at least for her to perceive DV? And would it make her more likely to react to the situation that Jodi and only Jodi described and make her do what she did? Bothersome.

And I do think JM will be a bit more respectful and calm (if that gear is in his amazing gear box). Unless ALV goes off into left field somewhere. And then the gloves will come off.

He's so amazing and passionate -- at least TA had the benefit of this, albeit posthumously. But his family is seeing it and (I hope) taking comfort in our hero...

Yes, this bothers me.
It is possible that she knew she wouldn't be called by the prosecutor but thought this might be a chance to educate the court about DV. Anyway that was the reason Lenore Walker gave for how she winded up on the Dream Team side for O.J. Interesting that she actually never was called to the stand - maybe the Dream Team was smarter than the DT who should have rested after that last witness.

I am not too worried about whatever this new witness says because I have yet to hear 1 corroborating piece of testimony that Travis was abusive physically towards Jodi. Only Jodi has claimed that and she has reason to lie.

Until the defense comes up with something that proves it, I think the jury will think she is lying like I do.

Exactly, It's the Jodi show and she is the star after all. IMO
