Its possible that her family knew that forcing her against her will to do something she didn't want too was a much worse scenario. I think JA probably held her family emotionally hostage during her teen years for sure.

Kelly

I thought she was 17 when she left.
Anyway, I have known a family who's oldest child was a violent, lying, unpredictable, arsonist, manipulative, thieving teen. This teen served time in juvenile hall for assault and battery. When he got out at 16 he was still the same. His parents did not want him in the home for the safety of their other children and selves.
I have wondered many times if this was how Jodi's parents felt.

I have always been knife first, for the reasons Rose mentions, but as a side note, another thing that supports knife first is her refusal to talk about the knife attack. Even in the ninja story, she doesn't talk about the knife attack. This memory is very personal, pleasurable and private to her, which leads me to believe it was her preferred and chosen method and the gun was secondary.

Spot on with my thoughts.

:pillowfight:
It's a classic anxiety dream along with the one about being naked in public. What I wonder is why so many of us ALL have nearly the identical dream? Do people from other cultures have it to?

I wonder if nudist's have nightmares about wearing clothes? AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Such a bad morning to wake up too. Knox's acquittal was overturned and more character trashing is in store for today's testimony. I hate following trials. I hate how I get emotionally involved with them. I so want my hippocampus to shrink. I want to forget about this case, but I can't.

But Jodi was never questioned about these allegations. As to the allegations Jodi and her DT have made in court there has been no witness's or evidence to support these charges. To accuse someone of being a pedophile, IMO, there needs to be corroborating evidence before it can be utilized as part of anyone's strategy.

Who cares if Jodi was questioned ? She'd only lie.

The fact the allegations are uncorroborated, supported by zero evidence was put forth by the mouth of a proven liar... Insures no one will believe it and only makes her look worse.

Is it normal for a defendant to not have a lawyer on either side of them? FCA was flanked on either side and so were most of the defendants in trials I have watched. JA is on the end, with only JW at her side. It seems weird to me. Nurmi looks like he tries to be as far away from JA as possible. Any thoughts?

I am wondering if it could be to not give the illusion of Jodi flirting with the lawyer? She whispers and leans in, giggles and jokes with the attorney. It might give an impression to the jury as flirtation.

Do we know any details on this foreign exchange trip to Costa Rica and "Victor Arias?" Crazy, this story. At my high school, it was a BIG HONOR if you were selected to be a foreign exchange student. And it was only for junior and seniors. Wouldn't she have been a sophomore? That's a little young for this. TIA! :seeya:

Sounds fishy, but I believe she said it was during the summer. Oh, and she says she came home and told her parents, "I'm going to Costa Rica!"

Sorry don't know about the foreign exchange student stuff, but went on a Victor Arias facebook page and one of his favorite books is "The Secret".

Could be possible. If nothing else, to help the other siblings have some kind of normal life.

But, yes..I agree.

Had a thought... if Jodi was "suicidal", she would have been on suicide watch. Period.

So take that Dr. $ !

Suicide, my :butthead:, she's too vain. I bet she just used that to get her way and to manipulate people.

Most jails do a suicide risk assessment when inmates are booked in. Then they are reassessed periodically.
Most of the scoring is dependable on the inmates answers to the questions. Depending on the score it would determine how often they were checked and where they were housed and how.

Well, that sure as heck wouldn't work with her. She lies on EVERYTHING! If she was nearby when the doctor filled it out, I'd even doubt her birth certificate! :blushing:

His body language seems to have increased as this thing drags on. Definitely looks like he wants no part of sitting close to Arias. Willmott, on the other hand, seems to like snuggling up to the butcherer for reasons only she knows.

It was dealing with the DT compensation.

That was my assumption as well, although I notice the hearing is set for tomorrow. Think it's the same thing?

Of course not... t's always an issue. A bunch of homophobic/misogynistic comments were made and removed in the last thread, and it was particularly bad. Not sure how this is hypocritical?

I don't think all criticisms have been misogynistic. I've seen comments on RS's looks and hair, and I do hope those were removed also. While he may be a jerk for essentially signing off on his career for money to testify as an expert for the DT (and being stubborn enough to not concede he was duped by JA), I would not resort to mocking his physical appearance, and I think it is wrong to do no matter what. It's bullying. If he were to read here, I'd think his feelings would be hurt based on the mocking of his person, not his TESTIMONY.

Just putting that out there, because its tiring to hear complaints about mean comments when they are about a persons looks if they're a woman, or they're gay, but if it's a man - fair game. It's wrong to do NO MATTER WHAT.

I was thinking it had something to do with the PTSD, inability to trust men, cause her scattered thinking blah blah. So she has to sit by the woman. And see how involved she is in the trial and how on she is when she next to someone she trusts.

Who knows?

I have been there with a hell raising kid and believe me it is not easy.

Me too.... biggest challenge of my lifetime.

I think its a signal to jurors that they're pals. And if they're pals, Jodi isn't evil and does not represent a threat to anyone else now.

Well, she'd have to have a passport to go. And, if she was a minor, I would think her parents would have to sign off on that. Not sure they would with her track record... :twocents:

I've had cold sores all my life and take Valtrex during outbreaks.

This is the news adding "filler" news.

:floorlaugh: As a researcher, look at who are the subjects! Perhaps homeless drug addicts/prostitutes that have been incarcerated and using memory loss as a defense?

Just saying, the ol' adage is "give me what you want to prove, and I can give you the stats to prove it". Unfortunately, most folks and talking heads (and Dr. $) just read the synopsis, and not the details. (I need me some JoyPath here, lol!)
