Not having seen that part of the proceedings yet, if she was crying it was most likely because she didn't get what she wanted for lunch...like the spoiled kid she is.

I didn't look closely enough to notice that she had been crying, but there WAS some sort of meeting with the judge and the defense scheduled for 1pm. The camera didn't come off the seal until after 1:30pm.

According to the THs, ALV has a fan section in the gallery that jumps up to congratulate her during every break.

Uhhhhh..... This trial is about Jodi murdering Travis Alexander as she confessed. It's not an outdated man hating 70s feminist rally or seminar. I know I've said this many times, but somebody needs to bring this to the courtroom, too.

That cheerleading behavior should not be tolerated in the courtroom. The ALV militia should be forced to walk out with professional decorum. However, we've seen how little respect this judge has or seems to expect, so I am sure it will continue.

Not once, in all of her sparring, has LAV given us any reason to understand why she "bought into" everything 'hook, line and sinker"....After all, isn't that what she's up there saying? Fine, but instead of putting all her efforts into "fighting" JM, shouldn't she be more focused on trying to give us reasons to believe what she claims she believes in? (Dangling participle, I know...)

Totally agree! And, I find it rather ironic that Mark didn't complain about Nurmi getting to the point. How much slower could anyone get to the point than Nurmi? Juan doesn't make the pace of the questioning, ALV does with her slipperiness.

I'm with you... I've been surprised at the lack of criticism by the TH's of JW and KN pretty much throughout the trial- everything from their pace and lack of professionalism to stylistic tactics. Though when I think back to other trials the prosecutors are usually the ones who get analyzed especially when they have dynamic personalities and perhaps there's more to discuss with someone like Juan. It seems quite universally acceptable that Nurmi and Willmott are <insert modsnipped word here> so maybe it goes unspoken. Well, I'm no longer surprised as I no longer watch HLN. It's all about ratings and controversy and entertainment... WS provides better dialogue and perspectives with far less stress and more laughs and better people!

I kinda feel sorry for Nurmi. He sure doesn't look like his heart is into this. He can barely motivate himself to pick up his pen and write anything, he is slumped in his chair with a look of utter disgust on his face (which I now don't think is directed at JM), he takes little catnaps, when he walks up to the judges bench with his head tucked and chin on his chest he looks like he is doing the walk of shame, and he has separated himself from Wilma and Einstein at the end of the table. He and Wilma barely chat it up in consult anymore. He clocks in, clocks out. Does his 8 and hits the gate. He looks like he is there against his will, hoping this hell will end soon and he still has enough remains of a reputation to scrape together.
Anyone else get this vibe?

I've never seen a grown man do this, it looks so bizarre to me.... rather like a little kid who did something wrong and doesn't want to face his mama!

I have a question that has probably been answered already....but ALV mentioned something on the stand that she could walk off of a case at any time.....what would happen if she did that??

I think she meant she could leave a case before it went to trial. (ie: I don't believe you so I'm done) NOW if she wanted out of this case the Judge would entice her to stay by telling her to sit her wide a$$ in the witness chair or sit her wide a$$ in a jail cell. I think it's called Contempt but I may be using that phrase out of Context

I agree sometimes he looks bereft. He is probably tired because he spent all weekend writing crazy motions on Saturday and delivering them on Sunday. I do agree that he just wants it over.

He looks like he just scraped together all of his will to just get out of bed and put on the required flair. (matchy matchy outfit)

Right -- she is not at liberty to walk off the case now. She is under subpoena, and it ain't her choice any more.

You're right. If she would at least support her opinion rather than simply insist she's right (without actually saying it, but by her unwillingness to answer even the simplest question or acknowledge any possible alternative t her own conclusions we have no other choice but to assume it is the case) we could at least engage in some kind of meaningful debate involving differing points of view. This is just a silly exercise in "na-na-na-na-nah-na, I'm not gonna admit I'm wronnnng."

SERIOUSLY? Does ME ever notice that Juan enters court in the morning with a carefully organized stack of exhibits, and he goes through them in perfect order, without referring to an outline or any notes? JJeeezzzhhhhhhh. Sometimes I think ME is not really paying very close attention. JMO

Let's not forget the fact that this brilliant man listens intently at every word spoken by the witness and will take any little word or phrase and pounce on it immediately without loosing track of what he was referring to before the remark/phrase! He has done this over and over again just goes to show how dedicated he is in getting to the truth in this ocean of LIES!

I don't like her at all.... But... I think she was somewhat duped.

How is willful ignorance any sort of justification in an expert witness???? She never bothered to keep up with current research and understanding. Even when she wanted to do a bit more research she says the DT prevented her. She could have walked at any time.

She chose to remain ignorant in all sorts of ways. She chose to make the lives of countless couples out there miserable and worse, because of fanaticism co-opting outmoded thought. Geez. She and her outdated views are a danger to the trusting and vulnerable and gullible.

I agree in many ways. But as a child who grew up in the Bay Area, and who went to UC Berkeley in the 70's, and had a minor in Women's Studies there, I guess I am sympathetic to her original life goals. I think she had the right idea, AT ONE TIME, in helping battered victims and their abusers, to heal and move in. The problem is, like many people I know from my old Hippie Dayz, many have gotten stuck in the 60's and not progressed. :nuts:I think that is what happened here and it is a problem. I hope Juan continues to destroy her testimony as he has done so far.

Not to offend anyone that likes Kate Gosselin, but I know Jodi reads tabloids. Kate was busted with pictures and online around that timeline by using wooden spoons on her kids...Jodi might have picked up this storyline. Kate Gosselin carried a wooden spoon in her car even. jmho where she might have gotten this story/lie?

Actually, this is something that I have no problem believing. My husband got the wooden spoon from his mom and I got the back of a hairbrush from mine (on the back of the thighs). I don't believe she was hit often though.
