2:38 here - and YES, I did have a glass of wine. I have such insomnia, it helps sometimes. Listening to the witness about OP praying that if she would just live he would live to dedicate his life to her? Eh, maybe lost something in the translation.

Witness saw OP going upstairs, then saw him come back downstairs a few minutes later.

of course they do.. but this is a gated community, it has its own 24 hour security within 600 yards.. makes sense they would call their very own and close by security first.. and it would be habit to, I would think.. I do the same. .it doesn't seem odd to me.

It's probably not. It's just very different from what we would do in the US.

'Nxt morning, my wife phoned me at work, said 'You know the lady who was shot this morning? It turns out to be OP's girlfriend and you were in his house.'

'No police came to see me that day. I thought it was strange. I asked our seurity that evening if they could get me a police number I could call'

When he was checking the estate out, to buy into it, he was shown a completely different house and told it was Mr Pretorious.. probably why he didn't twig it was the same Oscar Pretorius who is standing over the dead body of a young woman in the middle of the night..

Next day? Lunch, policewoman came to see him at work and took a statement.

Then, few months later Cpt Mike Van Art? came to my house, swore me in and took aother statement.

That's important. Letting police know he was on the scene and should give a statement? Not so much. To his credit, the witness sought police out after not hearing from them.
