What's up with all of the "you don't have to be my angel" stuff?

I'm sure she'd ask him not to use the term if she didn't like it. What's wrong with it?

He shuts the blinds and curtains leaving himself in the "pitch dark", then immediately hears a noise, but instead of opening the blinds and curtains to let the ambient light in he decides to fumble around in this "pitch dark" to retrieve the gun, sure he did.

I maybe wrong but didn't OP say after he got the fan and closed the sliding glass door and curtains the room was pitch black when he heard the so called intruder in the toilet room but he was to scared to open the lights! So the room was pitch black but he went to retrieve his gun from under the bed (from the same side of the bed RV in on) So at the bed he couldn't see that RV was on or off the the bed but he had no problem finding his little gun in that darken room????? Makes no sense!!!! JMO

OP never said he heard someone in the toilet at that point; he said he heard a noise in the bathroom. And no, according to OP the gun was under his side of the bed that night, not under RS's side. You really think it would be that hard to find a gun under the bed on your side - where you put it - even in pitch black darkness? I don't.

OP has a gorgeous model, one that he obviously has been manipulating and trying to control since the day he met her, and yet he tells her that she does not have to be his angel, his love; and he tells her that twice in just the brief exchanges that you posted. That IMO is very strange! Would love to get the opinion of a psychologist or a psychiatrist on this! Just seems backwards and there is a reason he is doing it.

How, when, & why did the master bedroom door get damaged? Why is there an apparent projectile hole through the door? Why is the lower portion of the door cracked as if it had been violently kicked?

How, when, & why did the downstairs lounge window get broken?

Does someone have pictures of the damage to the master bedroom door and the broken lounge window?

I agree. The bedroom door still boggles the mind. It will be very interesting to hear OP's explanation if he's asked about it.

I looked again at the hole in the door and is convinced that it was made from an air rifle pellet. The size looks to be like 4mm that match the size of air rifle pellets. Will do some ballistic tests tomorrow after work to see if i can replicate the exit splintering in similiar panels.

Lol. I think it's just the grammar is wrong..think he is supposed to be saying "you don't have to, My Angel"

I don't know about else where in the world but Angel/my angel is a very common term of endearment especially with Afrikaans people.

It seems obvious from their texts that people ( presumably her friends ) were warning her off him, well that was my thought anyway .

That's why Reeva said in one of her text messages "dating you comes with sick people trying to fill my head with doubt and I’m learning to trust what is real and safe." (.. no idea why she would use the word 'sick' .. maybe it means something slightly different to how we would mean it in the UK, i.e. sick in the head, dunno ..?)

I initially though it may have been the Cassidy Taylor-Memmory incident, that was still unresolved but I think that was resolved in December 2013.
Been having another read through but still none the wiser.

RS: It's a difficult a thing to try and console you on because it's a sh***y thing and you're a nice guy. I guess these things happen and we can just hope they work out for the best. You are an amazing person with so many blessings and you are more than cared for. Your health and future monetary blessings far outweigh this hurdle. I can promise you that.

I have seen splintering like that on the inside of my garden shed where my son used to pin his target on the outside .
Some went right through and it was not a very high powered air rifle

My original post seems to have disappeared too. One would normally expect a moderator to explain why but I have not heard anything. The link is still there under a post by mango who also posted an interesting link. I cannot think a link to a newspaper article would be removed. The information is already 'out there' and I don't think I made any comment about what was in it. I didn't even post a small section from the article. Anyone????

Thanks IB. Yes you would think some explanation normal, even if just one word, e.g. "offensive", "abusive", or whatever. It could be a mod saw the posts and deleted them because they thought, yours less than mine, them inappropriate or that one or perhaps more posters reported them (what for I can't imagine) and the mods got jittery... legal and all that stuff. Stevemi's reply with your link is still there at post 570 on page 23, but don't blink or you may miss it!

Interestingly, I just read the two "Daily Telegraph" (not exactly very left or alternative press!) articles with HP's original comments and source of the IOLNews article you linked to, "No sign of Oscar’s dad at his trial", one of the DT's titled "Oscar Pistorius's father blames South Africa's gun culture on ANC" the other "Oscar Pistorius distances himself from father's comments on the ANC and guns" (if anyone's interested google the titles but I won't link ¡"por si las moscas"!).

I think I will re-post my comment with a few changes to the first para as if anything the part about HP would have been the problem, well at least I can't imagine anyone objecting to quotes by Mandela or my attributing SA high crime levels on the gross inequality caused by the years of Apartheid! A system that left SA with the highest level of income inequality in the world which is a published fact. And if the ANC can say things outright, then my referring to HP living in the past, and my picking out the irony of his criticism that the ANC are not protecting whites and his blaming the ANC for crime levels when imo these stem from SA's very brutal past, well I don't know. Wondering if they be here tomorrow, below quotes from what the ANC had to say about HP's published remarks (much stronger words than I ever put and in a national newspaper!):

"The African National Congress rejects with contempt the accusation made by Henke Pistorius (the father to Oscar Pistorius) to a UK newspaper that 'the ANC government is not willing to protect white South Africans'," Mr Mthembu said. .. because it doesn't make sense in the context of the discussion (he actually keeps saying 'you don't have to my angel' not 'you don't have to be my angel'). 'You don't have to what'??
