I always remember a policeman saying the best way to catch somebody in a lie when interviewing them is to simply say nothing and let the other person ramble on.

I am not too sure Nel is correct about the Duvet. I am sure I remember someone saying that it was moved, possibly the photographer, to check there was no evidence on the sheet. Does anyone else remember?

I remember it being said that a lot of things were moved in order to take additional photos .. but .. those were not taken until after the first set of photos of the actual crime scene had been taken, so that one of the duvet would've been taken as it was found, then the duvet opened up later to take another photo of the blood spatter found inside it.

Thing is, he was so nice and offered to come back later when I'd finished. so I agreed...and now I've just realized I'm not even with that cable company. :(

Nel is gonna keep Oscar on the stand till kingdom come.

considering this is the first time anyone has been given the opp to question Oscar, I can see the reasons for it.

I am still baffled by the insistence about the gun stuff in Tashas.. it just defies all known parameters of life on earth as we know it.

I seem to remember him saying it was on the floor but he opened it up to check for blood on the other side. Can't remember if he found any or not (Oscar syndrome!)

The balcony was so close to the right hand side of the bed (where Reeva was sleeping).

It beggars belief that OP would not have been able to see Reeva moving (especially after he said he moved the fans without going out onto the balcony).

Nice trap by Nels who questioned OP on this point earlier (i.e. Bail Statement said OP went onto balcony, OP changed his version and said he just moved fans from bedroom that were half on/half off the balcony).

The cords also were so short, that OP would have needed to be close to the bed to move them.

-Police moved fans.

-Police turned them off.

-Police put duvet on the floor.

-Police moved the blinds.

-Police closed the left hand side of the door.

-(Inference) police moved extension cord.

-Police unplugged fans and then placed plugs in another position than before.

South African police do bungle, I could believe one or two of those details being shifted like unplugging the the plugs and moving the duvet. But all, for no reason, and collectively to conspire against Pistorius. No. He thinks everyone is against him, it's always the fault of others. And he just can't seem to tell the truth, especially if it makes him look bad.

Not even in the little insignificant details that no one really cares about like the ammunition in the safe (tiny misdemeanor) or surfing some harmlous 🤬🤬🤬🤬, like every 20+yr in the world does.

This is surrreal. I'm still thinking narcissistic personality disorder.

Same as yesterday, the evidence photo discrepancies are not going to go away. They'll keep recurring again and again.

This should have been addressed by both parties and the judge prior to this stage of the trial.
It's absurd that you can question somebody using two sets of photographs with the evidence in a different position each time.
It allows you to pick and choose which one suits your case.

I don't think he'll go and examine the cord himself. That's too risky because it may go against what he's saying.

He may enquire with the manufacturer as to the standard cord length for that apparatus though.

after typing all that, . all that parallel universe stuff .. I may take up smoking again.

Surely, knowing that he was going to go this way Nel would have already done that. This is not even close to being new information to him. He would have done it already.

What door is Nel meaning was open?

Is he stating an open door infers an argument??

I'm lost . . .

Door onto balcony and therefore neighbours could hear Reeva's screaming, which changed in volume while she was running out of bedroom towards bathroom (toilet cubicle).

IMO

Would you believe I picked this week to try to quit? I blame Oscar Pistorius, entirely and solely, for my abject failure. ;)

  • #756
Well, OP definitely lied about the thin cable for the smaller fan by saying it went around the side of the speaker as opposed to underneath it .. it was definitely underneath the speaker.

I was chewing jelly beans. Too many. Feel a tiny bit sick now.

just to settle this issue. Glock themselves say that gun cant be fired without the trigger being pulled.

  • #759
So it's not quite clear in my head - did Oscar concede he could see Reeva a bit, or that he wasn't looking or it was pitch black?

And has Nel not mentioned OP said she was asleep at first, or did I just miss it?

Those cords come in std 1m,1.5m,2m,3m and 5m..so depend on which one OP had, we have a ton of them at home of various lengths.
