They should have called in a professional cricketer, imo. Or a cricket coach. :)

Col disagreeing bit of door was ripped out, says it was twisted out with bat. Roux asks if he tried ripping it out, witness

"No, because the door was already broken when I got it.'

Col; 'The door was hit after the shots, in my opinion."

Roux scared Col's voice is not being recorded. Wants adjournment. Granted.

Lunch only half hour away.....

the judge seems to be very in tune with Roux. And not so much with Nels.

Whoop saying Col overbalanced at one stage - maybe when court laughed?

Witness is starting to get a bit P O 'd......imo
He's doing a lot better than I would be. I'd be wanting to use that door for a smackdown after Roux' twisted little Twister game. ;)

Col: 'You must be careful not to look at things in isolation and scew the investigation'

Scew? Sque? Just cannot think how to spell it....

It is skew

Thank you for all the updates everyone!

Must say, I too am uncertain what all this bat hitting the door from what angle is about. We know the bat hit the door. Does it matter at what height? Does it matter at what angle? Is Roux just dragging this on to confuse the legs on or off issue further? Is there some more important reason for this?

Unless I am missing something.

So it seems state forensic witness

Never examined or tested the door in situ at the crime scene for the ORIGINAL report.

Bits of the door were lost somewhere and have not been found

Testing on the door in lab did not replicate position of door in home - it was leant up against a cupboard.

Based on what I've head so far, it seems as if the Col is saying that OP was on his stumps when he struck the door with the cricket bat.

And it is pretty amazing that Roux asked witness to hit door in a way that made witness afraid of damaging the evidence.....

For a man who didn't see any of this coming, Roux sure has a clear roadmap for attempting to demolish the no-prostheses hypothesis.

ftfy :D

I was looking forward to the door evidence, but this whole thing has me totally flummoxed now.

  • #657
I am (seriously) wondering if the judge has played cricket at all. I feel natural/unnatural positioning is something a player would just know, as you have to have swung a bat and felt how it feels?

There are pieces of the door 'that must have got left at the scene' Col says :(

Sheer incompetence on the part of the State forensic team. Hiton Botha removed the door from the crime scene because he heard of rumors of huge sums of money being offered to make the door disappear.Without this door the State has no case.
