So why would the photographer be lying about whether or not he was alone when taking the pictures? Not saying he IS lying, because I'd more believe that Roux changed the times on the pictures. But why would the guy lie about this in the first place?

Maybe the on board clock on the cameras are reading different times. Mine reads different from my OH because I set it wrongly. This could make a difference of minutes if one or other camera was not set by the same time source.

Roux has just shown several pics taken by Col M at the time VS was taking pics in the bathroom, but VS is still maintaining he did not see Col M in the bathroom.

Col M's were at 6.08. VS entered bathroom to take photos at 6.05 and was still taking them at 6.09, so looks like they had to be in bathroom together....

Roux is going to 'try and save time'.....

  • #145
I also think someone changed the times on those other photos.

  • #146
I don't think Van Staden is lying.

There must be a reason why these timestamps overlapped. Apparently, one of the camera's clocks had an incorrect setting, which would affect the timestamps in the metadata.

Col Motha - States ballistics expert

Ooh, shadowy figure in the bathroom window. Very JFK.

ITA. Every clock in my house has a different time. :o

OP's dogs were obviously not attack dogs. 6.31 one is standing outside lounge window as photographer takes pic, and there were loads of strangers there at the time. Couldn't have had dog roaming free like that if it was a biter....

VS: There was a person accompanying Col M but I don't remember the person's name'

  • #152
VS just said two people handled firearm; Col M and another Det?? who originally disarmed it, or made it safe.

  • #153
Roux is asking VS to comment on photos he is not even showing him because 'I don't want to keep moving the table all the time'.

What a complete and utter farce. Sorry.

  • #154
Seems ridiculous that Roux is allowed to go down this line with no verification that The time's were set the same on both camera's.

  • #155
Roux asks witness to say what he was carrying when he went upstairs but fails to state a time. Witness asks for a time, doesn't really get one, so proceeds to give an answer as vague as the question.

  • #156
Hey, they just showed a pic of hall to main bedroom with a hole in the floor - looks like a bullet hole!

ETA - No, sorry. It was the door I think...

  • #157
Yes - without verification that the times on the two cameras were identical, this is all completely pointless.

  • #158
Wow is that another bullet hole????.

edited, sorry was the door.

  • #159
Lol, now Roux wants to know why VS did not take a photo of the hole before he took a photo of the hole....

VS says 'The hole cannot be moved or destroyed, I used my discretion'

R: Cannot anyone not put something in there, change it?

I think we have to assume that Roux needs to try and discredit each and every witness (no matter how credible they are) otherwise they screw up his OP is innocent theory. On the matter of camera times, why is it assumed that everyone's camera is set to the same time? A minute's difference here and there isn't suspicious at all. It would be more suspicious, in my opinion, if every single camera used to take photos of the crime scene were synched. No doubt Roux would make an issue of that too.
