I believe that the testimony was that Ross stopped sending pictures of Cooper when he first arrived at school to LH.

I believe your right.

And the prosecution was talking about the photos in the morning. Which Ross himself said he stopped taking. Not saying the word "morning" isn't debunking a whole theory. Please stop circumventing the ignore feature here. Thanks
Respectfully, yes the ignore feature is awesome. Per TOS and Mods it is to be used and not made a public announcement. No one has to read anything they do not want to. Nor does it mean others can not comment. I have done so respectfully and for the most part gave links to where my post come from. JMHO

Time to go back to trial ..

Just in case you misunderstand the ignore feature, it only works for you. And has nothing to do with what any other member sees. No way I can circumvent anything on WS. Not JMHO, but a fact.

I haven't followed this case, or trial, as closely as most of you. Is there evidence that RH & his wife researched hot car deaths, as was widely reported in 2014? Or is watching a viral YouTube video the extent of the "research"?

Didn't prosecution suggest that there was a missing hard drive, and that perhaps RH's tech abilities helped him cover his tracks? But we're also supposed to believe he was having a blatant conversation about killing his son to escape his marriage right as he did it? That doesn't really fit for me. Moo.

I've never heard of any blatant conversation like that.

Hi all,

In the midst of all of what's been going on and what I consider smoke and mirrors and things that are very open to interpretation such as the searches, the sexting, behaviors, etc...below are the things that when added up, I cannot get past and that make me believe that Ross left Cooper in that car intentionally:

1. The very very short drive time between Chick-Fil-A and arrival to RH's workplace: I really don't believe that Cooper fell asleep in that short period of time and never talked or made any sort of noise at all in that time and yes, maybe he was preoccupied but really? My nephew is Cooper's age and very active and I just am not buying it.
2. The Lightbulb Incident: The fact that he insisted on dropping very light lightbulbs in his car was...odd, to say the least. And that he opened the car door and threw the lightbulbs in a weird way was nefarious. Did he see, hear, or smell something? If Cooper was indeed alive...gah.
3. Leaving Work to Go to the Movies: The fact that he got in the car and drove and never saw/remembered Cooper until he was near a conveniently crowded parking are?!?! Please. Sorry. Not buying it. If he had "discovered" Cooper in the HD parking lot I might, might be a little more open to it.

I understand the Swiss Cheese theory, read the articles, believe it can happen, but not like this. Each one, I could possibly believe/excuse, could happen, but the probability of all three things/opportunities for Ross to have missed seeing/hearing/smelling Cooper in the enclosed small car happening to create these circumstance are to me, ASTRONOMICAL. I ain't buying that it was an accident.

#RossHarris - Now redirect of Det. Smith. Prosecutor asks if Smith actually found an application for a child's passport. No, he didn't.

  • #828
How so? She has nothing to hide.

JMHO the Def is going to say that that shows he didn't remember that Cooper was in the car and thought (for whatever reason) that Cooper was at school. There was a phone tag around the 4:06pm? time of that last text from LH. IIRC it may have been LH call/miss so she texts, then RH calls/miss and LH call back. I think this is going to be the order

Or a reminder to remind him to text her? That strikes me as just too pat. Your only child should be a priority in a loving, caring, family. All I'm seeing is reminders in relation to this little guy. Oh yeah, and barbecue sauce. Not buying it.

I'm scratching my head when Ross texts Leanna about "when you getting my buddy". Why would he text her that? Just curious. Does it matter when if he's going to the movies? He won't be seeing Cooper until later when the movie was over, right? I wonder if he texted her that all the time :waitasec: and if not, why that day? Was Leanna the one who picked Cooper up most of the time?

The prosecution is re-examining Det. Smith.

Smith testified that he did not see an actual application for a passport for Cooper, just the Google search.

Harris’ Googled an attempt for someone to spell gonorrhea.

Harris went to weatherpredictor.com on June 17, 2014, at 9:12 a.m., the day before Cooper died and searched on Google, "Why are hot and humid days often hazy?"

__

From an exchange Harris had with someone the morning of Cooper’s death.

“My wife gets upset when I want to go out with friends. I love my son but we both need escapes,” Harris wrote.

“Maybe that’s our issue too. I need a break from ‘love,’” the person responded.

“Agreed” Harris said.

He sent those messages while his son was strapped into his car seat in the Home Depot parking lot.

___

Prosecutors say Harris sent a message in which he mentioned his son at 9:15 that morning, just minutes before he arrived at work.

Prosecution insinuates Harris may have deleted parts of his search history.

This guy is maddening...get on with the questions....I am even confused on which website I am on after all this!!!

Thanks for the link. I have found that due to my VERY SLOW download speeds on my service that I have, that the ONLY site that let's me view without buffering is the daily Youtube site. I've tried and tried the others, and my guess is that I can do low quality viewing with a setting of 144 p on that site, and the other sites live streaming do a higher quality that my slow slow slow service cannot handle without huge buffering and shut down.

That said... thanks to those that daily list the youtube site for live streaming or else I would not be able to follow the trial.

ETA: As an aside, my thanks button has not worked on this site for a few weeks... But many thanks to those that post early in the day the youtube site for live streaming vs. the others that don't allow me to do the low quality live streaming that youtube does.

All the jurors will have 'phones. We all know how they work, if there's a response clearly the text's been seen. I can imagine the deep inward sighs when this particular DT gets up to cross. He belabours the blatantly obvious too much, but is also adept at drawing out the point he eventually makes.

He'd do the DT more favours, in the eyes of the jury, if he got to his point without all the obfuscation.

Leanna texted Ross not to forget Cooper? The day before???? No wonder she wanted the photo of him to prove Cooper made it to daycare. No wonder she already knew that he left Cooper in the car. He did it on purpose. No way he would forget. How horrible. Disgusting. She must go over it over and over again. She should have called the daycare, called or texted Ross to ask him, etc etc. It's ridiculous really. Like a mom telling her kid "whatever you do , don't forget to blah blah blah" and the answer is yeah yeah, no problem and the thing doesn't happen......now a baby is DEAD. Did he do it because he hated Leanna so much? She wouldn't divorce him. Argh.......

Wondering if that was a ""test"" run (sorry :( )

I have the impression that he forgot to pick Cooper up before, not drop him off. I really don't know... do we know? lol

eta I say that yet other things make me think he left him in the car before.

On Whisper, there is no time on when a message is read, the defense attorney said. He’s trying to establish what time Harris was interacting with people on the app.

Of all of the messaging that is going on, there is an at least 18 minute gap between his activity while at Chick-fil-A with Cooper. He is not actively messaging during that time when he is having breakfast with Cooper.

Regarding applications that delete content, Smith did not find any such apps on Harris’ phone. No one is suggesting Harris was hiding any information from anyone, the defense attorney said.

“All of the information was there,” Smith testified. There is no evidence that Harris deleted any messages.

Another Whisper post from a user named Magnolia Blonde: “I can make myself orgasm in less than 10 seconds with my vibrator,” overlaid on a photo of a rabbit.

Harris responded at 7 43 a.m. “Nice … I bet sex with you is amazing.”

She responded, “lol I’ve been told so.”

“Sadly, I can’t experience it,” at 7:50 a.m. “Would be nice.”

The end of this exchange – that took place after 9 a.m. – would be going on when he was at Chick-fil-A with Cooper, the prosecution said.

The prosecution called its next witness, Alexandra Swindell, who is 23 years old.

Swindell says she had sexual conversations with Harris on the applications Scout and Kik.

They exchanged sexts and nude photos. Harris tried to get her to meet up, which they eventually did.

“He picked me up from my dorm room and we drove to some back road and parking and talking and kissing and eventually I performed oral sex on him and then he drove me home,” Swindell testified.

This took place around the end of 2012.

He told her he had a girlfriend and eventually that they were engaged. He never said he was married or mentioned Cooper, Swindell said.

Swindell said they began texting again in 2014.

Swindell says she had a sexual conversation with Harris on June 18, 2014.
